"You've finally come, Zaratul."
A voice greeted the black figure that appeared in the middle of the small room. Without asking too many questions, Zaratul entered Erick's shadow.
"Then just wait. Whether the Rosemary Family will accept the offer we make or not."
Erick didn't say anything else and continued the training he picked up from the magic tower of Babel. Among all the subordinates that the Tower leader had, he was the weakest because he had not yet reached the Tier 1 Magus threshold. So protection is necessary.
That's Erick's view. He saw it as mercy from the tower leader who saw that he was a weak person.
If only he knew about the trait of Great Destiny which makes it almost impossible to die before fulfilling his destiny. It's a pity that he doesn't know about it.
If he knew, then the steps he would take would be even more drastic. Especially when there are two owners of the Great Destiny trait here, and one of them is someone with the path of Victory.
Without any interference, Erick's training produced excellent results. His development was so fast and in just one month, he had already entered the tier 1 magus stage.
In Erick's small room, the three human recruits looked at Erick in amazement. Even after seeing many things at Austin Farmland, they couldn't compare to what Erick did.
Two balls of energy in the form of light and darkness revolved around Erick, surrounding his body. Every time 10 turns are completed, Strands that have different properties from each other appear to blend harmoniously.
“I don't know how many times I've seen it, it's truly amazing. I didn't expect what the creature who called himself an Elf said was the truth.”
“What else do you need to doubt? We come from a place that even collects and breeds living things in the universe. That kind of existence alone makes so many things so normal in our lives.”
“Still, I remember the Elf saying something like it was impossible to train two properties that were so opposite. But look at him, not only did he bring both light and darkness into harmony, but the process was so smooth as if it was so natural.”
The third person didn't say much and just watched silently. The process shown by Erick was truly amazing and he had also heard the explanation that his two friends said.
He could only see that the Elf's knowledge seemed so backward. After all, as far as he knew, the elf did not come from the world outside but was born within Austin Farmland.
It's natural that his knowledge is so limited.
Still, seeing the Elf tell a lot of things without holding back was quite helpful in broadening their horizons. Besides, people like that were quite rare considering that life at Austin Farmland was quite tough.
The third person slowly opened his eyes when he received the message from the system. After reading it for a while, he immediately closed it.
"Erick, the Rosemary Family has agreed to cooperate with us."
Erick slowly opened his eyes and nodded his head. "Good. We will act in one week. Until then, you guys better prepare for the worst.”
The three men around him just nodded. They didn't know what Erick was planning or what the tower leader had ordered. What they knew was, as long as they did as ordered by Erick who had been trusted by the tower leader, that was enough.

At the Betlam family residence, Balak stood in a room filled with ancient languages carved all over the iron walls. The room didn't have the slightest source of light but still glowed from lines that looked like pulses flowing Mana.
In the middle of the room, Balak saw his son who was still asleep without showing the slightest sign of waking up. He rubbed his son's forehead who was holding a book tightly even in his sleep.
“What will you do next, Balak? It seems someone thwarted what Angulus was trying to do.” Wade spoke while eating the apple in his hand.
He sat relaxed on the sofa while looking at Balak who continued to rub his son's head. "Do you think it was that organization that stopped my plan?"
“Maybe. Your actions in attacking Rosemary's family should be in line with what they want. But with Angulus being beaten back, it seems those who are moving are not from that organization.”
“How did the Rosemary Family respond?” Balak asked in a cold tone.
“As you might expect. They will most likely attack this place. Additionally, the informant I have in this place mentioned that they received some cooperation from a hidden organization.”
"Oh really?" This time, Balak showed his interest.
He already knew that Angulus would fail if he attacked the Rosemary family at this time because of Roderick's presence in Maple City. It's just that what he didn't expect was that Angulus would lose to an outsider whose origin was not even known.
If there was no Roderick in Maple City, the destruction of the Rosemary family would not last long. The plans he carries out will run smoothly and there will be no obstacles.
But with current events, he has made many changes. Examples include Felix making his fourth ring by surprise and Roderick's appearance during the attack.
When he found out about this, he immediately changed the things he had to do. This drastic change was his plan to destroy the Rosemary family to remove them from royal politics.
If Roderick had been injured during the politics, and the pressure that Vienna Hall would put on King Esther, everything would go smoothly. At the end of the kingdom's politics, the Rosemary Family would definitely receive a huge blow and would be wiped out from the face of the earth.
But to his great surprise, Angulus was stopped before he even reached Rosemary's Mansion. Strange events occur in Maple City that bring new turmoil to the investigation.
With the fight taking place in the city, especially the appearance of a black figure who could repel a 5-loop Great Magus, almost all organizations moved to investigate.
Wade throws apples in the air and catches them repeatedly. "You want to know interesting news?"
"What's that?"
“That organization that works with the Rosemary Family… They have ties to something that Vienna Hall and the people call The Forgotten One.”
Balak who heard it immediately stopped. "Are you serious?"
The Forgotten One.
It was one of the names that was so explosive in the underworld and various places throughout Maple City. It is said that it is an entity that manipulates things behind the scenes.
The attack on the Betlam family and the entity's summoning of the Cross Dimension brought many problems. Even Vienna Hall had to move to protect Betlam's family and suppress the tensions that were occurring.
Balak always wondered about this. He had never once performed a dimension-breaking summoning. Forget about performing the summoning, even if he were willing to do it, it wouldn't be as smooth as just leaving a trace of mana from the ritual he performed.
Yet, that entity was able to do it so smoothly without the slightest destruction. Not only that, he could even spread traces of what he did throughout Maple City and obscure his original location of summoning.
The original location of the summons he performed was right in the Mansion he owned.
It was both crazy and terrifying. The entity was right next to him and he couldn't remember who it was or what it looked like. If it weren't for Wade's warning, Balak probably wouldn't have even remembered this at all.
“I've searched for the entity you call The Forgotten One, but I don't remember anything about it. No matter what, I can't remember what he looked like or what trace of soul he possessed. As if it didn't exist.”
Wade caught the apple he threw and took a bite of it. “I can't remember either. Not only you, but almost all existing organizations can't remember who they are trying to find. Even if they searched the souls of the people who investigated the Forgotten one, no one would be able to remember him.”
Even Vienna Hall.
They also surprisingly couldn't track or investigate who The Forgotten One was. The only trace of the entity left behind was Maple City.
Because no one could remember the slightest bit, even the traces left behind were so obscure and undetectable…
Many organizations refer to him as The Forgotten One.
