Leon was walking around the city which was not too far from the Betlam family mansion. He didn't do much because most of what he saw were buildings and buildings with a Victorian era architectural style.
As if living back in that era, Leon wandered around freely. Everything caught his attention and he wanted to experience everything here. The building is towering and has a distinctive style and various kinds of carvings.
People dress in a luxurious style that displays the beauty of a woman and makes a stunning impression on men. Leon himself is not someone who is a fashion expert so he doesn't know much about it.
Even though he wore clothes that were a bit different from most people, not many people commented on it. Leon could walk around freely without attracting any suspicion.
Twiddling his fingers slightly on his wand, he arrived at the place he remembered most in this city. Leon sits on a street bench where he meets Hugo and is proposed to by Alice.
"I didn't expect that you would come back here again," Hugo said to Leon who was sitting next to him. He was still reading the newspaper in his hand.
"Is there anything interesting in this city? I'm actually new to this place and don't know much."
"Hmm, Let me remember for a moment. Maple City doesn't have many interesting things. But I know a good place to drink. Even though it is quite remote, I can guarantee that it will not disappoint you."
"The location is not far enough from here. But they can be a little expensive."
Leon immediately became interested. One of the hobbies he has when traveling is trying different kinds of food and drinks. While showing an interested expression, Leon asked Hugo.
"Where is the place? Maybe I can treat you to a drink for the warning you gave me earlier."
"No need." Hugo rejected it while turning the page of the newspaper. "I'm not the type to drink during the day."
He said that while handing Leon a piece of paper. It was the location of the place he said.
"Are you sure? You don't need to worry about costs. I will pay for it."
"I know. You are the person recruited by the Betlam family as a theoretical tutor for their third son, right? With the capacity of the Betlam family, I believe you have enough money right now."
Hugo looked at the surprised Leon and lowered his newspaper. He didn't care about Leon working for the Betlam family. The family's reputation in Maple City was almost non-existent except for them being nobles in the name.
"I'm quite impressed. Not many people could be accepted by the Betlam Family because they always said that quality was better than quantity. To be accepted especially by Balak himself, you must be very knowledgeable."
Leon slowly leaned back while holding his wand. "You praise me too much. the person I taught was a 3 ring Magus. In this world, there are so many people who can teach young Master Felix and replace me."
"I am not sure. I don't know if you know this or not, but do you know how old Balak is?" Hugo asked Leon.
Leon didn't answer immediately and immediately recalled all the information he had gathered regarding Balak. Even though it was very faint, Leon could feel 7 rings surrounding him, 8 if you counted from the aura he had.
Balak can be said to be a 7-ring Magus who is ready to form his eighth ring.
"I know that he is a magus with 7 rings. But I don't know about his age." Leon shrugged his shoulders.

"25 years."
"Wait, what?" Hugo's words immediately shocked Leon.
25 years? He's that young? Leon almost couldn't believe it. Usually, the distance between each stage from one to another will continue to increase. Hugo said that Balak was 25 years old, which means he formed his seven rings in just 20 years.
That's if he started training at the age of 5 years.
"Surprised? Everyone is just like you. The talent that Balak showed was so terrifying that it caused problems for the Betlam family. The ancestors and the older generation came out only to protect Balak. There are also rumors that Vienna Hall also moved and suppressed the entire political situation of the Pendragon kingdom at a critical moment."
Hugo spoke without caring about his surroundings. Normally, if outsiders heard this, they would immediately cause a commotion. The news regarding the Betlam Family being affiliated with Vienna Hall was a secret unknown to other than the noble families of the Pendragon kingdom.
But no one around them noticed it. It was as if Leon was the only one who could hear Hugo's voice.
Hugo continued. "In addition, although Balak's first and second children are not as talented as their father, they are also geniuses in their respective fields. Vienna Hall is willing to accept them and look after his two sons."
"His two sons, who are 15 and 14 years old, are now said to have formed their fifth ring. With this, both of them can officially join Vienna Hall and their future will be bright."
Leon listened to Hugo's explanation regarding several other things regarding the Betlam family. Different from his warning towards the Rosemary family, Hugo had no bias or hatred towards the Betlam family.
Leon felt like there was something wrong with Hugo's explanation but didn't think about it any further. Maybe it's something unimportant, hey something as unimportant as age isn't something to worry about, right?
After finishing speaking, Leon withdrew to say goodbye. He immediately went towards the place indicated by Hugo. Through the clues on the paper, Leon immediately found the place.
At the outskirts of the city, Leon arrived at the place indicated by Hugo.
Midnight Inn.
"What a strange name for a place to drink. Never mind, I spent 10 hours just to come here." Leon looked around. The roads here are different from before. Hugo wasn't joking when he said that this place was in a remote place.
He had to walk for about 1 hour to get to the station, take the train, and go to the other side of Maple City which took 8 hours, and another 1 hour to walk to this place.
According to Hugo's paper, this is a place that only opens at midnight and closes when the sun rises. There's a reason why this place is called the Midnight Inn.
From the outside, this place looks like a small inn made of stacked marble stones. A Lantern was hung on both sides of the door and provided Leon with clear light.
From the outside, he could see the room inside which looked comfortable and simple. Several people could be seen inside talking to their friends.
Leon didn't immediately enter but stood while looking at the two lanterns beside him. The flames burning from within blocked the magic sense he had. With that fire, all the mana in the air seemed to be static and not moving at all.
This is not a simple place.
Leon took one last look and decided to enter this place.
Ring…
The sound of bells greeted Leon when he entered the Midnight Inn. His feelings and sense of Mana seemed to be dead and he couldn't feel anything here. Even though his power wasn't suppressed, Leon couldn't use the magic sense he had.
When Leon entered, his appearance changed to another figure. His face was covered by a plain white mask without a nose or mouth. His entire hair and face were covered in black mist and his stature changed into another, unknown figure. He wore a jet black robe that covered his entire body.
The people who were talking didn't care about Leon. They continued to chat casually. A group of people who seemed to come from different places talked to each other without caring about the other's identity.
They were the same, their identities were disguised and others couldn't even recognize them.
"Gulp…Gulp..Gulp.. Ahhhh. I'm telling you, the massacre carried out by the Pendragon kingdom is almost starting again. I was there when King Esther gave an ultimatum to all the noble families to prepare."
"You're going to the capital? Wow, you sure have a lot of guts to go there and come back to Maple City."
"Of course, he will come back. Do you think with what's going on now, will he still be there? The last time the politics of the Pendragon kingdom were going on, Vienna Hall suddenly made a move and sent one person to the capital of the Pendragon kingdom."
"You know what happened? That one person easily suppressed all the Magi in the kingdom. He came, said that this massacre had to stop, Refused to elaborate, and left."
"Ah… I remember that incident. If not for Vienna Hall making a move, the Betlam Family would barely survive. I heard that at that time Balak almost died while protecting his three wives."
The four people continued their conversation. Leon, who accidentally passed by, also heard their conversation and became interested. But he ignored it for now and walked towards a male figure standing behind the desk.
Leon couldn't see his face because he had his back to him. While checking and arranging the drink bottles, the man said as if he knew that Leon was coming to him.
"Visitor?"
