Chapter 9: Heaven's Peak.
This is bad.
Seeing the outcome of the roll, I hurriedly tried to think of a way out.
Nothing!
Physically stop it? Impossible!
Anyone who touches the Die would experience countless mutations, no matter who you are, what you are.
Those who resist change will be crushed by it!
Except expecting the Die to change this outcome again, which is unlikely. There is no logical way to a better alternative.
Wait.
"Da wae lies in madness."
Remembering the old truth, I hold out my hand.
And reached for the Die of Probability.
Shreeeeechhh
The moment my hand touched the Die, I felt a mind-shattering pain, way worse than anything I've ever dreamed of.
My muscles are replaced with cloth, my bones liquified, and by very being is changed.
It began with trivial change, before changing my past and who I am.
Even the greatest of heroes would break under the pain of having their existence changed.
Thankfully, I'm no hero.
[Providence Travel]!
Everything that was changed is suddenly reset, but before I could take I breathe, the pain flooded me again and the mutations began anew.
[Providence Travel]
Clinging to my reason, I tried to move my finger, only to see that it became stone.
[Providence Travel]
My hand is restored to back flesh, only to elongate and curl.
[Providence Travel]!
Using all my strength I pushed the Die of Probability.

The RNGod looked at the woman with curiosity, before asking.
This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.
"Oh, do tell me sister. While He is currently weak, He is a titan at heart."
The woman met Arengi's gaze, her eyes showing a glint of disappointment.
"You are young Arengi, and you do not know of the First War, I do.'
Arengi placed his hand on his chin, contemplating something before saying.
"First War? The one which we Celestials fought against the Outers to lay claim to the mortal plane?"
Hearing him, the woman shook her head, her eyes tightly shut.
"I saw that war Arengi, it was fated to last for eons, Arengi, eons."
The woman spoke in a grim tone as she recalled the memory of her meaning, of fate shattering.
"Six days Arengi, in just six days that war ended. All because of that thing"
Arengi thought for a moment before speaking.
"The Everpresent One."
The woman opened her eyes and looked at Arengi, her crimson gaze filled with suspicion and surprise.
"Yes. All because of The Everpresent Light and His damnable Die, He ended the war with that forbidden tool, along with the lives of all the Ones that participated in it."
Arengi's crimson eyes met hers as he asked a question that bothered him for a while.
"Your point being?"
The woman—Fate, laughed.
"You may stop me, Arengi, but you can never stop fate."

[Providence Travel]!
[Travel]!
Vanishing after I touched the Die, I arrived a few meters away from it.
16...
It worked.
Breathing a sigh of relief, I began t-
Boooooooooooom!
Everything shook.
[WARNING! WARNING!]
[TARTARUS IS UNDER ATTACK]
*****
Outside of Earth.
A figure stands alone in the vastness of space, overlooking Earth with a look of disdain.
Clad in the blackest darkness, the figure seemed to absorb all of light, creating a field that resembles the most primordial plane around It.
The Void.
The figure raised Its hand and began to gather darkness around it.
The darkness shook before expanding and forming black tendrils.
The tendrils wiggle, from ten to hundred, and finally, to ten thousand.
Faster than light, the tendrils shoot towards Earth.
Myriads of thorns shot to Earth, their aim true.
Suddenly, an emerald green barrier covered the world, pausing the tendrils on contact.
Seeing this, the figure raised Its hand again, clearly unsurprised.
Before It can form another batch of tendrils though, five cone-shaped objects suddenly appear beside It.
The figure pauses for a moment, and a moment is all that is needed.
Extinction-class Armament: White Star Missiles!
Five orbs of fiery light blasted the figure to kingdom come.
*****
Shoot, Shoot, Shoot, Shoot!
Of all people, why Her!
My defense can guard me from most Ones for at least a year, but against that.
I'd be lucky if I lasted a day.
*****
The five orbs of light suddenly turned pitch black and the figure revealed Itself again.
The figure looked fine, with no damage taken, except.
Except the dispelling of the darkness that hides Her face.
Only one word is needed to describe Her.
Oh-lala
She is beautiful, black hair and even darker, void-like eyes that seem to absorb all light. Mystery and ominous promise blend to create Her unique visage.
She is The One.
The Empress of Horrors, the Lady of Mysteries, Ruler of the Unknown.
The Hidden One.
Raenyx Ent Estare.
Better known as
The Primordial Nyx.
*****
It was at this moment that I knew, I'm BEEPed
NOT!
"FULL SALVO!"
[Firing all weapons]
I'm not going down without a fight!
Every single weapon in my arsenal shall be unleashed!
The seal of [Armament] flares with green light.
I held out my hand and pointed at where Miss Darkness was.
"The Ten Thousandth Blade Armament: [Ten Thousand Worlds]"
Green mist covers the world.
Slowly, muzzles of various shapes and sizes appear from beyond the mist.
Cannons, cannons, and more cannons.
"NYX! Behold the ultimate truth. More is beauty! Massive is Magnificent!"
Ten thousand cannons aim towards Nyx.
"Caliber is justice!"
Myriad lights rain upon the Primordial Darkness
"Cannons are the Truth!!"
Behold the Heaven's Finest!
"Cannon fire supremacy!"
