Chapter 4: The Past, Eve of the End.

In a neatly arranged library somewhere.
A man sits before a computer, his hands trembling, it is as if the world is ending.
For the man, it is.
On the computer, there is a line that would catch one's eye first.

The man just stared at the monitor, his black eyes dimmer under the low illumination of the library.
He then shakes his head, ruffling his black hair and thinks. The end would always follow the beginning. For him to dread the end of something is ironic, funny even.
"Better not miss it"
For a god of his age, seeing the dusk is merely a small wait for the dawn.
These mortals, even with themselves being pathetic, can create things that even he can respect.
A testament to this is the library itself.
A creation of sheer magnificence, this library creates a copy of everything mankind made the second they drowned in the river known as time.
A small engraving adorns this library, a message for himself so that he won't forget his promise.
Even if all is dust, I will remember.

Thinking back then, he may have screwed over everyone.
Because.
BOOOOOOM!
Everything shook, an improbability, given that the library is located in the most secure place on Earth. Disconnected to everything. A pocket world per se.
What follows though, is far beyond irrationality.
Myriad of things suddenly materializes above the library.
Various objects, from the smallest of needles to a bloody aircraft carrier fall on him.
Seeing such a scene, his eyes were filled with confusion, which then soon morphed into a look of....rejection.
Impossible, the man thought as he raised his right arm and opened his palm.
In his fingers, a chain tattoo coils and glows.
Following it's appearance, the man spoke one of the ultimate Word of Power.
"ZA WAR-cough I mean, HALT!"
Following the ultimate word, the world stopped.
With peace temporally restored, the man gazes at the still world around him.
Objects of different origins, from worthless junk to priceless masterpieces stood still above the library.
The man closes his eyes. A test on whether the library is once again connected to the world.
His right eye glowed and an illusory river appeared from his vision, showing him a sight he never expected.
The once chaotic and raging river now flows with order and calm.
Countless timelines that once flowed beside each other have merged, and now the river flows towards the same downstream.
An Absolute Future.
A Future with....nothing.
The library was designed to create a copy of everything that is drowned by history, all things mankind made that are forgotten by men.
Therefore...
There is only one truth.
A single tear, the first and final tear for ages to come.
Mourns the world.

After seeing that Arengi was about to actually kill me, I hastily told Him the story of the End.
I tilt my head, dodging a hyper-compressed gamma Ray burst that just happened to shoot in my direction.
"Would you please cease this? I already told thee the real story!"
I say as I dodge a one-in-a-million natural spatial distortion.
"YOU TOLD ME NOTHING!"
Arengi then shot a comet at me before shaking His head and said.
"I heard nothing about your reasons, you are insane, period."
Dodging the comet using [Travel] and seeing that He finally calmed down, I asked the question that had been bothering me since the beginning.
"How did you even find me anyway?"
Arengi placed His hand on His chin and said.
"That is a good question."
I waited for Him to continue, and after minutes of silence, He finally said.
"Whatever you are doing right now, it is closely related to my domain."
Suddenly, a light of realization appears in Arengi's eyes. He then looked at me with a look of anger and.....fear.
"Surely you don't dare?"
I smiled at Him, for a One, even the faintest connection can lead to accurate deductions, so I just say.
"Cat's out the bag."
Hearing that, and taking it as affirmation, Arengi closed His eyes, took a deep breath and coldly said.
"You intend to create the Die of Probability."
