The moles were quite close when she leaped which meant that she was immediately upon her target, giving it no time to dodge like the previous one did. She descended with a wild duty of her claws upon the mole and immediately opened several deep cuts.
The mole responded in kind using its claws to attack her unprotected front. It brought up its left paw and positioned it so that Mark would impale her own stomach on it due to her leap. With the other one, it attempted to swipe at her head.
Mark, while still in a state where she had no reasoning and acted almost entirely on instinct, moved her left arm to block the claws coming for her head and completely ignored the other ones. She let them impale her through the stomach.
When she was close enough, she dug her right hand onto its shoulder and used her feet to stay on top of the mole.
This time, the mole couldn't keep its balance after Mark landed on it and fell over. Both of its hands were occupied so it couldn't dampen the fall n any way.
It hit its head on the ground and blacked out for a moment. However, Mark also lost her grip on it and fell over it, landing right on front of another mole who was quite close.
By now, the moles had, thanks to their already fallen comrade, learned that attacking her back and sides were useless. So it aimed at Marks' head with a quick swipe.
However, it was blocked by her tail before getting struck in the throat by Marks' claws. It wheezed for a few times before collapsing. Meanwhile, Mark was already in the air again, targeting the same mole she did earlier. Within seconds she was upon it an assaulted it with her claws. Due to how close she was, the mole was unable to use its claws properly. They were way too long. It desperately struggled but on its own, it was unable to free itself.
The relentless assault stopped when another mole attacked Marks' head and she head to dodge by jumping to the side. While still in midair, her tail whipped around and penetrated her attacker through the chest. It coughed blood.
As she landed, she turned her head and angrily glared at the moles. Her stomach had already healed and only her purple blood gave away that she had ever been injured.
With an angry, high-pitched howl she leaped again this time focusing the still uninjured mole. The Mole didn't try to retaliate and instead choose to try and run away. If one would be able to read the expressions of a mole, then one would be able to tell that it was utterly terrified.
Normally, someone as slow as a mole would have no chance of getting away. However, luck was in its favor. Marks' tail was still deep in the chest of a mole and was, thanks to its serrated structure, stuck.
Her leap was stopped midway when her tail couldn't extend anymore. She got yanked back and fell on the ground. Once she got up she heavily pulled on her tail, anchoring herself to the ground with her claws. However, she didn't pull it out of the mole. The mole had already died due to blood loss and was simply dragged over to her.
She used her claws to cut around the flesh where her tail was stuck and finally freed it. By now, the remaining mole had already managed to flee into the hallways where more of its kin would be to help it. All the moles on the classroom, however, were already dead, most having died to blood loss.
As if the earlier, frenzied attack was a lie, Mark calmly sat down and cleaned her claws from the blood by licking it up. When she finished she got up and slowly walked towards the door, completely ignoring the classmates that were still petrified. Her prey were the moles and the hunt was on.

----------------------------------------
After the call from Matthias, the police moved quickly. A SEK-team was already on their way and the normal police already sent some men ahead while they call all available officers. After what happened in Stuttgart, the police didn't want to take any chances when it came to monsters or strange animals.
It took them just slightly more than 5 minutes to call everyone, another few for them to gather and then some more for everyone to get armed and ready. The SEK would have to come from Magdeburg so it would still take them some time to get there. However, the police couldn't delay and as such departed.
Within half an hour, they arrived at the school. From the outside, the school looked mostly normal. However, once you paid some attention to the windows you could see that most of them had blood stains on them and barely any movement behind them.
The men that were sent ahead by the police had already managed to save some students who were lucky enough to be right next to an entrance. However, they didn't dare to go in any deeper in until reinforcements arrived.
Once the police arrived, they quickly made a plan. They would send in a team of seven officers from every entrance, which numbered 3 and try to clear the first floor. Then they would start scouting out the second floor and send in teams afterward. While they hoped that the SEK would arrive in time to help them they couldn't just sit around and do nothing until they did.
From the few students that they had already gotten out, they acquired some information about what they were dealing with. Since the moles were coming from the basement, they would have to station most of the officers at the stairways to stop any more of them getting to the upper floors or even outside.
They would only go into the basement once the SEK was here. The normal police wasn't equipped for a frontal attack on an unknown enemy with unknown numbers. Besides their primary goal was the safety of the students.
When the teams were in position they didn't waste any more time and quickly got into the building. The resistance they encountered was fierce but it barely posed a problem. The moles were slow and had nothing that would protect them from bullets. As long as the police notice them before they managed to get close they stood no chance. And moles weren't exactly good at sneaking.
As such, clearing the first floor was relatively easy. However aside from some very lucky ones, most students were either dead or in critical condition. Several ambulances were already on their way, the police called them shortly after arriving but it would still take them a few minutes to arrive. Minutes that many of the rescued students didn't have.
The officers tried to save as many as they could but first aid only got you so far when you were dealing with several centimeters deep wounds and severed arteries.
Several minutes passed and one student after another succumbed to their wounds. The ambulances arrived and quickly got to work while the police started their assault on the second floor.
However, the second floor was different from the first. Instead of moles on the hallways, they only encountered one thing.
Corpses. Corpses of both moles and the students littered the floor.
What happened? Who or, judging by the wounds on the moles, what did this? Where was the person or being now? Does it attack humans as well?
As the hallway was empty, they checked the classrooms. At first, it seemed like the classrooms were in the same situation as the ones on the first floor. Most were dead and occasionally they found some who were still alive but wounded heavily. However, they all were devoid of any moles. Only in one classroom did they find a large number of uninjured students. However, nearly all of them were, at least mentally, completely absent. They just stared ahead and didn't react when spoken to. The few that were responsive didn't want to talk. The Medics said that most likely they are very heavily traumatized.
The teams returned with the injured students and reported their strange findings. Because of the existence of this unconfirmed being seemingly capable of killing so many moles on its own, the police was slightly hesitant to send the teams to the third floor.
However, their dilemma was solved when the SEK finally arrived and took over the command.
They did not have any problems with sending some teams up to the third floor.
However, they never got to do that. The officers guarding the stairs to the basement were being attacked by something that was most definitely not a mole.
