Well even if I have accepted the fact that I currently have turned into an alien loli that doesn't mean that I am ok with it and I will try to change it.
Now then, I have currently accomplished my goal so I have to decide my next one.
With the way, things are right now the best thing to do is probably getting used to my new body.
With that said I can't really do so right now. At least not properly because the hallways are nearly completely blocked and most of the rooms are too small for my tail. So I can't move about properly in them. Well, normal movements are ok but it gets problematic when I try to do something like running or jogging as my tail swings about wildly if I do. So I have to find some open space. As it is only the beginning of January it is still winter and very cold. So outside is no real option because I can't wear my jacket since it has gotten too big for my new body.
I think I can use the assembly hall. It isn't used often and all the chairs in it are usually stacked on top of each other at the side. So there is a nice open space.
So I have to get back to the 2nd floor. This time I properly pay attention to my "toes" and managed to not do a majestic nose-dive.
I again walk between the unconscious students while trying not to hurt them
The assembly hall is an extra building that is on pillars and connected to the 2nd floor. There is an emergency staircase underneath it as otherwise there would be only one exit. Anyways the way to it is quite long from my current so I have to walk quite a bit.
Because of my lowered height, my steps are smaller than before and I also have to pay attention to my toes and the students lying around. So it takes much longer than before to get there, way too long for my own comfort. It's really strange how walking so slowly compared to my previous normal speed just feels so awkward even though my body tells me this is a good speed.
While walking I noticed that some of the students I recognize now look slightly different. Some had more refined features while others have gotten bigger. I wonder how they are going to dress themselves if they change their bodies too much. Not that I could talk, but I didn't choose this so I am not responsible.
While walking by a window I noticed something strange. The outside world was perfectly peaceful. Which at first glance seems just fine but, didn't all humans fall unconsciousness thanks to the system? And wouldn't that result in uncountable car crashes?
However, when I looked outside, all the cars were standing still on the streets. Not even one car crashed into something.
"Did the gods stop all the cars so that no accidents happen. But what about planes and trains or ships? How did they stop any accidents from happening there?"
And that wasn't all. All the workers on building sites and in factories? With all the heavy machines there that needed constant supervising it would not be surprising for many accidents to happen there.
How did the gods solve that problem? It just doesn't make any sense. If one were to go with the classic way something like this is possible then the answer would be: time has been stopped. However, I can move and I can affect the world around me just fine. I also noticed that the unconscious students and teachers that I saw were breathing. So that isn't the answer. Then how...? Sigh, I suspect that no matter how much I think about it I won't be able to figure it out. Let's leave it for later.
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.
Finally, I arrived at the assembly hall. As I suspected, it was mostly empty. Which meant I finally had some space to figure out some of the quirks of my new body. I started with some light jogging.
Immediately, I noticed several things. First of all my body is light beyond comparison. And not because I have gotten smaller and lost a lot of fat but just strangely light as if moving required no effort at all, as if I could just continue doing this for hours without problems. Probably the increased strength and everything that the system talked about.
Anyways, learning to walk/run without stumbling due to my claws resulted in some awkward first minutes where one would think I was drunk. However, it slowly got better and after about 15 minutes I managed to jog at a comfortable speed without stumbling at all.
Next thing would be to get my tail under control. I noticed that it's swinging automatically while I run and helped keep my balance whenever I stumbled. Which is quite helpful but doesn't change the fact that I need to learn to move it on my own and to stop it from accidentally hitting my surroundings.
So I started with some light, controlled movements like slow swinging with controlled speed, keeping it as still as I can and just using it in general to get a feel for it.
It is quite hard and I am barely making any progress but it still helps me to get used to my tail. Finally, after roughly 10 minutes I am somewhat confident in my ability to keep it from hitting anything I don't want so let's try something else with it. The system said that my tail is able to increase its length up to 4m.
Now how do I do that... Maybe like straightening my back just this time with my tail...
Since my tail still feels slightly foreign I'll just try to use every muscle that I can at once.
"Hnnghh"
The result was that my tail just started quivering a bit. But then...
*drip
...
Some drops of a clear liquid came out of the tip.
Ok, that wasn't supposed to happen.
So I currently don't know how to extend my tail but I got some of my poison.
That is of no help though. I mean it is good that I now know what it's like to secret some of my poison but I can't do anything with it at the moment.
Mmmh, let's postpone it for now. It is more important to control it at the moment then to know how to attack with it or extend it.
So now I have to get used to the claws on my hands. I don't want to accidentally scratch or even destroy whatever I am trying to grab. I can't even shake hands like this.
So I have to find a way to grab something without using too much pressure.
...
...
DAMNIT!!!
I tried several times already not to use the sharp edge of them too much as they're simply too sharp but it doesn't work any other way. Also having hands encased in carapace sucks. As it is a hard exoskeleton there are no receptors for touch. I can only tell when pressure is applied to them. I can't pet my dog or cat like this. Would they even recognize me?
Sigh complaining won't help and I can't change the fact that my claws are the way they are.
So learning how to walk is the only real thing I can do at the moment.
So I ran a few more rounds in the hall.
Something quite important that I noticed while running was that I now had way more stamina. Previously I was not the sporty type and would start to lightly sweat after just a few rounds. But now it felt like nothing. I already knew that my strength is greatly enhanced, the same apparently applies to my stamina as well.
My speed was also way faster than before. I don't know how fast I was previously but I felt like I could do a 100m sprint in less than half the time I used to need.
So I ran and ran and ran a bit more to know the limit of my stamina while also learning how to not stumble.
Suddenly the door opens and a boy I don't recognize sticks his head in to take a look.
"Hello"
He apparently is a bit shocked to see me as he just stares at me and doesn't answer.
The boy is quite a bit taller than me, not that it is difficult with my height. Somewhere around 1,80m, I guess. His face gives you kind of plain but still handsome type of feeling, while his hair is messy dark blond. He apparently has regained his witts as he withdraws his head and slams the door shut.
How rude.
I walk up to the door and try to open it but I notice that there is more resistance than there should be. He probably tries to keep the door closed. So I gather my strength and open it with one great push.
The door literally flies open and I swear I could hear the hinges shriek.
Well, my strength was apparently too much for him and now he lies on the ground and tries to get up.
I just continue to walk to him.
When I arrive in front of him I wave my hand and say again:
"Hello there"
