“Ahahahaha!” Rob continued to laugh loudly in the empty street, staring into the bright blue sky with bloodshot eyes.
Ah, wait, I look like a psycho right now.
He paused his laughter and hastily look around, heaving a sigh of relief when he saw that no one else was there to witness his outburst of mad joy.
Finally, he was here. After eons and eons of suffering, reaching the realm of supremacy in the entire Omniverse, and standing side to side with legendary figures like God and Buddha, Rob was finally here.
Even Buddha wasn’t able to stop him, much less anyone else!
He’s finally here.
HE CAN FINALLY LIVE THE LIFE OF AN OUTRAGEOUSLY LUCKY BASTARD!
And obviously, someone who’s meant to be the luckiest being alive has to start out his journey to the top with an unrivaled golden finger created by yours truly.
He slowly stood up, stretched out his right hand while holding his left eye with his left hand.
“Huuuu…” He breathed out slowly as bright golden light flashed in his eyes.
“Activate, Fortune Stealer!”
As a mystical power coursed through his entire existence, he held in his excitement and consciously dragged the strange, invisible lump above his head to the area in front of him.
Then, from the top of his vision, a strange loaf of bread that appeared to be garlic parmesan bread can be seen growing out of a lump of dark brown soil. The bread wasn’t too big, just bigger than what a normal loaf would be, while the lump of soil beneath it was slightly dark and can be considered nutritious and full of vitality.
Hmm, this means my aptitude in earth magic has risen by quite a bit since puberty, and that continuing with earth magic would lead me to some decent results. Perhaps I’ll even have the chance to become a Royal Mage. Also, business back at the bakery would also bloom with this new garlic parmesan bread Mama made.
If nothing goes wrong, my luck might even increase naturally with the boost in business, and my chances of becoming a Royal Mage would increase.
Rob has stood at the peak of the Omniverse before and had created his own truth, so even though he had sealed a majority of his truth and knowledge, interpreting his luck was still doable with a bit of guesswork and intuition.
“Heh, so upper C Rank luck, eh? This would mean my family is considered on the upper end of middle-class families in the empire, and I could live a pretty well-off life. It’s not the best start, but it’s undeniably a decent one.”
Before this, even in my first life before I got transmigrated to that damned cultivation world, I had to work my ass off every week to earn money. Just this alone is a huge blessing. Mama, don’t worry, your boy would make sure the family business won’t die so at least I won’t have to go homeless if I drop out of school early.
But of course, if only inspecting my luck is the biggest thing Fortune Stealer can do, then it can’t be considered the creation of a Supreme Existence like myself!
I’ll deal with those later, for now, I’m running late!
With his luck inspected and his clothes prim and proper, Rob runs off into the distance with haste.
…
A slightly chubby kid with a below-average face and a ruddy complexion ran through the serene Vezwil Royal Academy roads toward the auditorium in the distance.
Rob was sweating profusely, thinking to himself with a frown on his face, Fucking hell, this body is just too unhealthy!
Fuck, if I didn’t limit myself to only using the methods I get to learn in this new life and not using all the ones I already know, then this wouldn’t even be a problem.
Hell! I can even reach planetary level in a week by just devouring this entire world and eating all of its inhabitants’ souls. But that would be too boring! I’m here to have fun! But being skinny fat isn’t fun!
Dismissing his varied thoughts, Rob slowed down his pace and took out a handkerchief to wipe away his sweat. Then, after resting for a bit, entered the auditorium, and silently let out a relieved breath when he saw that no one was on stage giving any speech, indicating that the opening ceremony hasn’t started yet.
He looked around the area, his eyes shining brightly with joy as he saw all kinds of luck glowing like colorful stars in the night sky. Some were in the form of winds flying around a field of grass, or a raging river, and some were even in the form of flowers or trees.
The most exciting part of all was that the bare minimum level of luck here was C Rank! Many even had B Rank Luck, and A Rank Luck wasn’t that rare at all!
Luck luck lucky! Ha, this is way too fun! There’s so much to steal, so much to gain! There are no righteous do-gooders coming to take my life, no Ascended wanting to take revenge, no Higher Existences rushing to vanquish my soul for all eternity.

Rob praised himself in his mind with an imperceptible grin on his ugly face, Sigh, I’m just way too good. If only I had been able to fix Fortune Stealer’s greatest flaw of starting at a very weak state, but plans change. The other Supreme Existences were already beginning to notice my plan and realized how terrifying it would be if my Supreme Truth can grow even further, to reach a level beyond the likes of Buddha and God.
Gah! Those overthinking bunch! Can’t they let an unlucky fellow enjoy life without worry?
Rob got over his anger and walked toward an empty seat in the auditorium. In the dimly lit building, he shifted on his seat to a more comfortable position and activated his self-made golden finger once more.
A flash of golden light appeared in his eyes, and in his vision, the metaphysical forms of their luck came into view once more. Rob rubbed his chin and inspected Fortune Stealer more thoroughly.
5 meters, around one F Rank per minute, and only from a single source. It’s at the bottom alright, but it sure is unrivaled. Sigh, my sweet baby, my supreme truth, you’ve become my golden finger! Eons after eons, all of the suffering I had faced has given birth to my pride and joy!
Rob sniffed and wiped the slight bit of tears that had gathered in his eyes. Ah, a human body. I still remember when I became a demonic general in Satan’s army and became the Betrayer of Humanity, good times indeed. It was some sweet revenge… I probably spent more of my life as part of an unintelligent species, than something that had the cognitive capabilities to be deemed intellectual.
A human body… Even the body I had used to reach the supreme throne wasn’t human. Haha… It’s like a loop. In my first life, I was human, and at the beginning of this new chapter of Rob Fortune’s journey, I’m also human. How nostalgic.
Rob shifted his gaze to the others around him, their luck had different appearances, but they were all strong and full of fortune. He gazed at a certain luck, it was in the form of a huge calm lake filled to the brim with water.
Fortune Stealer… Rob almost wanted to snort when he called out his move’s name, but it was funny nonetheless for him. From the calm blue lake, a small stream of water formed from the side and connected to the lump of dark brown soil growing on top of his head.
Small ripples formed from the lake at one-minute intervals, allowing one droplet of water to travel down the stream and onto the lump of dark brown soil with a garlic parmesan bread growing from it.
The small stream of water seemed to have invigorated the plant and nourished the soil, turning it slightly darker and allowing the bread to grow by the tiniest of bits.
It was painfully slow, but Rob looked at it with his eyes shining in delight.
Grow my precious, grow! Grow and be healthy, allow our bakery to give me money! Give me the money so I can live a life of comfort and luxury without having to work hard!
As Rob watched his luck grow ever so slowly, the lights in the auditorium suddenly focused on the stage, disrupting his focus and piquing his attention.
“Good morning, students.” An old man appeared on stage from a burst of flames, with a bald head and a long white beard. He had a scholarly air to him, wearing a wide white robe and a pair of glasses that covered his brilliant blue eyes.
Rob also noticed the Crown Prince, Kain Vizwel, in the distance sitting beside a woman with long silver hair and purple-colored eyes. She was Alice Lamuer, the Crown Prince’s fiancee, a talented knight and mage who can rival trained Knights and Mages at her young age.
Of course, she still paled in comparison to the Crown Prince who has the power of a Grand Knight and a Grand Mage already.
He moved his gaze back at the old man, rubbed his chin, and thought, He’s the principal of this academy and a powerful archmage, Christopher Laum. A commoner turned legendary archmage… his luck must be quite high.
Ignoring the principal’s long-winded speech, Rob squinted his eyes and activated his power, and he was unable to hold in his surprise the next moment.
Christopher Laum’s luck was immense and took on the appearance of Vizwel Academy. It was incredibly large, with its top piercing through the ceiling and beyond it. It was even wider than the auditorium itself and obstructed his entire vision.
This guy has S Rank luck! As expected of an archmage.
What about the Crown Prince and his fiancee?
Activating his power once more, he saw the image of an empire expand, with a sword crossing over a wooden cane. This represented the Crown Prince’s luck for the empire, for his journey as a Knight, and for his journey as a Mage. His luck was even bigger than the archmage, showing the deep foundations of a prince of humanity’s strongest empire.
On the other hand, his fiancee was a lot more modest, displaying her dukedom, with a cloud looming at the top that releases purple thunder from time to time.
As expected of the crown prince and his fiancee. Although her luck does show some hints of misfortune, it can be ignored and something to not worry about.
I had made some gains indeed!
Casting his gaze away from the Crown Prince and deactivating his special vision, he continued to mindlessly steal the luck of others as time passed.
“That is all, dear students.”
The principal gave his closing remarks as the students clapped in a frenzy after hearing his motivational and uplifting speech. He was truly a master of words that can raise the morale of an entire army within a short period of time.
Disappearing again into a burst of flames, Rob woke up from his reverie as the main guy he was stealing luck from stood up and started to walk away from the auditorium out of his 5-meter range.
No! My luck!
Watching him disappear, Rob clicked his tongue and inspected his luck after 30 minutes of non-stop grinding.
With the luck of 30 F Rank gathered, the soil of his luck has turned a bit darker, while the bread growing from the plant was also a little larger compared to before, but with how F Rank Luck was practically the luck of something insignificant, like the luck of a patch of grass growing by the roadside, it didn’t amount to much. Yet, Rob still wore a proud smile on his face.
That’s a pretty good harvest. Rob chuckled and stood up with slightly numb legs. I think I’ll even be able to increase the speed to 2 F Rank per minute soon, and I’ll perhaps even be able to steal from two different sources at once!
Hehehe, once that happens, my growth would quadruple in speed! Ah, luck is simply too amazing!
Wiping away the trace of drool that dripped from the edges of his mouth, Rob licked his lips and looked around the endless sea of luck around him with endless joy flashing in his malicious eyes.
No worries. Haste makes waste as they say. Only by being patient can I gather the luck I deserve!
Of course, there’s nothing wrong with trying to get faster progress, but that’s only when I’m desperately fighting for my life every single second.
I should just relax and enjoy life as it is. There’s no need to speedrun my godhood. Maybe I can even finally do some of the wishes I had back then in my first life?
Thinking about all the kinds of things he can finally do now without worry, Rob started to smile like a creep once more and walked out of the auditorium with his head held high.
Life… is beautiful.
