Rob’s mind slowly woke up from its deep slumber as he felt a strange object pressing down on his face, specifically on his forehead, with two sharp points poking right at his skin. He heard the soft sound of a bird’s chirp in his ear along with fluffy feathers atop his eyes.
“Ugh…,” Rob groaned and the bird on top of his head flew away in a hurry. He opened his eyes in a daze. He could feel his dry mouth, his empty stomach, his slight headache, and sniff his smelly body that was reminiscent of being covered in sweat.
He pushed himself up from the grassy ground and looked down at his hands in a daze. It appeared the same as usual, but with his enhanced senses, he can feel his strength has surged to a whole new level. Albeit, that was only the surface-level details.
If he were to use his magic, he can see that his body has undergone drastic changes underneath. His heart has turned more transparent compared to before, the same can be said for his blood, and his organs, bones, and veins. Even his skin has turned slightly transparent if he looked carefully as if it were made out of really opaque glass.
My body is as strong as an apprentice Knight already. My Alchemist’s Heart, it’s also at the level of a quasi-Grand Mage. And this? Rob closed his eyes and grinned. It was as if there was an invisible sphere with him as the center where he can sense nearly everything inside, from the rustling leaves to the swaying grass!
My Divine Sense. It’s also surprisingly large, around 10 meters in radius. The only lacking thing is the precision of my divine sense. It can only sense at the same level as my eyes and ears. If I could sense down to the atoms, I would already have access to nuclear bombs! Rob shook his head to dispel his fantasies and instead inspected his body using his Divine Sense. From head to toe, he was covered in dirt and blades of grass, along with dried blood on his lips down to his shirt and pants.
Scab has also formed on the middle of his chest where the sphere made from a kilogram of mana crystals previously pierced through. He tried to look for other wounds, but other than the one on his chest, and some of the remnant inner damage left within his body, he was relatively fine.
He first grabbed a healing potion inside his bag and gulped it down to deal with the remaining health problems he had. Rob then peeled off the layer of scab on his chest and threw it to the ground. He took a deep breath and filled his lungs to the brim with air. He smiled and stood up with a grunt, his eyes brimming with clear excitement. Let’s finally try out this Alchemy Magic!
Rob took off his shirt and laid it flat on the ground. He stretched out his palm and placed it right above the dried blood on his shirt. Through his divine sense, Rob focused on his shirt toward the area beneath his palm, and could clearly feel the layer of blood.
A complex series of information surfaced in his mind as he remembered the properties of blood, its chemical makeup, and numerous other data that he needed to activate Alchemy Magic. Being a half-spirit in itself wouldn’t allow one to control all the elements ranging from water to gold, no, it would only allow one to normally control some elements like fire and earth like normal spirits. Spirits are, in essence, magical creatures born from the land.
They can control the natural elements like wind, fire, earth, water, lightning, darkness, and many more. But, Alchemy Magic is more comprehensive than that, because its roots are in both magic and science, of the arcane secrets and of the scientific truth.
Because of this, Alchemy Magic relies on a magical foundation = the physiology of spirits and the power of magic, along with a scientific foundation - the properties of the substance undergoing alchemy magic, its chemical makeup, and other data that can give the user a comprehensive understanding of the material they’re dealing with.
Rob was a Supreme Existence, a being who stood at the zenith of all things and had an endless well of knowledge that many would drool at the thought of acquiring. He knows the secrets to eternal life, infinite power, immortality, and endless wealth. Rob knows nearly everything there is to know, for his power stood at the same levels as God and Buddha, Satan and Odin.
Even with his sealed knowledge, he still gave himself the basics such as chemistry and physics, and who knew that it would come in handy even in a world of swords and magic.
While his scientific knowledge may have been severely sealed, to prevent him from creating a reality-hopping transporter and acquiring the ingredients needed to transform himself into an immortal lifeform that can use the passage of time to fuel its body with endless strength, he still knew a lot about many branches of science - limited by what he considered his first life, the life he had before being reincarnated into that damnable cultivation world. He knew as much as an entire world’s database in science, hence, he knew a lot.

Rob willed, and magically, the traces of dry blood on his shirt floated into the air and hovered right beneath his palm. He waved his hand and watched as the blood twisted and turned before transmuting into a clear sphere of water.
Oho… Rob smiled and didn’t stop at just transmuting the blood into water. With excitement and curiosity, he transmuted the blob of water into a cube of ice, then into a pillar of gas. It then returned to being a mass of water, before splitting into two different gases.
Hydrogen and Oxygen. Rob snapped his finger and, in his divine sense, he saw the oxygen and hydrogen transmute into a new element. Nitrogen.
Rob clenched his fist as the nitrogen gas in the air stopped moving and came to a standstill. He exerted more strength as the temperature around the nitrogen gas rapidly went down below 0 degrees Celsius, but he stopped and stared at the misty cloud ahead of him with a wry grin, I’m still far from turning nitrogen into a liquid, but this is really mesmerizing.
Rob then winced in pain as he felt his stomach growl in hunger. He chuckled to himself and walked up to his bag to grab some snacks and ease his hunger.
As he pulled out a couple of snacks from his bag, he stared at the sky and calculated the time. Around 4:30. It took around 9 hours for my body to mostly turn into an Alchemist’s Body. All of the changes should end by tonight.
He soon finished his snack and felt his body eagerly consuming the newly acquired source of energy. Alchemy Magic relies on two basic foundations, an Alchemist’s Soul and an Alchemist’s Body.
Using his Divine Sense would tire out his soul, and using Alchemy Magic would drain his stamina since he’s only partially a spirit and has to rely on his vitality to replicate the powers of a spirit.
After refilling himself with the food, Rob gathered some of the fallen leaves and wooden branches on the ground around him and dragged them to his shirt. On the middle of his shirt, there were numerous holes riddled in its fabric as an aftermath of creating his Alchemist’s Heart.
Let’s see here. I just need to transform this grass into linen and use the holes as a guideline to place in the linen as if it were sewn. Rob scratched his chin and placed the fallen leaves and twigs of wood on top of his shirt.
With his divine sense, and with Alchemy Magic, the fallen leaves and twigs swiftly transformed into a white ball of yarn. He placed his focus on his shirt and manipulated the white ball of yarn to extend out a single thread.
Rob watched as the white thread fused into the fabric of his shirt, and from the sides of the holes, linen extended out in a certain pattern akin to a sewing motion before the holes were finally covered up. He chuckled as he put on his repaired shirt, and couldn’t help but be happy.
This cheat is just amazing with my foundation in science. It’s one of the most suitable magic I could have gotten. Rob shifted his divine sense onto his pants and repeated the same thing as before.
He pulled the dried blood away from the pants’ fabric, transformed the gathered blood into a blob of water, and morphed it into a gas. After that, he started to remove all of his traces inside the forest. He wiped away the drawn alchemy circle on the ground, destroyed the scab he threw onto the floor, and absorbed the mana in the air so that others can’t deduce someone had activated a magic circle here.
With everything done, Rob headed back to the obelisk and greeted the guards as if nothing had happened. He paid another 50 silver coins fee, arrived inside the Royal Capital, and walked toward the Alchemist Guild.
Inside the Alchemist Guild, Rob ordered a couple more alchemical materials he’ll later need, most of which were common plants and herbs, while also buying some minerals to experiment with later on. In total, he had spent 1 gold and 20 silver coins in just one day, which was akin to going on a flight back and forth and buying copious amounts of fast food.
Rob was left with no more money to his name, but it was okay. Once tomorrow arrives, he’ll boost his budget to a whole new level by using his supreme alchemical cheat code.
He left the Alchemist Guild when the sky was already turning dark, and arrived back home by sunset.
“Oh? Rob? You’re back already.” Herve smiled while sitting on the living room couch watching Magi-TV. As he glanced at Rob, his eyes widened in surprise as his sharp senses allowed him to notice the change in Rob’s aura. “You… You’re a mage already!”
Herve stood up and smiled warmly. He laughed with pride and joy as he hugged Rob with his tall and imposing body. “I didn’t expect you to be a mage so soon! This… At this rate, you might even become a Royal Mage in your lifetime!”
“The Fortune name… associated with a Royal Mage, hahaha! The heavens must have blessed this family!” Herve shook his head and patted Rob on the back. “So, how was today’s training?”
“It was okay.” Rob smiled and followed his father into the dining room to enjoy a relaxing dinner while talking about how he became a mage.
Mages in this world basically play the same societal role as someone who has a prestigious job like being a doctor, a lawyer, or an engineer. They can most certainly amass a decent amount of wealth with relative ease, have high value to most places, and are just generally treated well.
A Grand Mage is even better while being a Royal Mage can allow you to work at places like the Royal Academy or work under the emperor directly! Being a Royal Mage holds significant value in the world of Tyr as their name would be renowned in the entire empire, acting as the backbone of humanity that fights against the dangerous monsters that threaten to destroy society.
Royal Mage? Hmph, they’re only at the level of handling Wyverns and young dragons. Even Archmages are nothing but ants. Only when I ascend this reality and enter the Omniverse would things become truly interesting.
Rob smirked as he stared at his bedroom ceiling with a smile. But that’s still far from today. Maybe it might just take me a thousand years to reach compared to the eons I’ve spent in my previous life. Sigh, I cannot wait for the time I reach the supreme throne and become the luckiest bastard imaginable.
Rob chuckled for one last time before he closed his eyes, enjoying a sweet dream after a long day of hard work.
