The origin of these reptiles is a mystery. There is probability that they are related with swamp raptors, or even with draconis vulgaris – the stray dragons. There are many variations of those creatures, depending on the environment that they habituate.
Usually big, smallest grown up specimen ever found living in the wild was 2.8 meter tall, while tallest - specimen of Volcanic Gairaran was far over 8 meters.
While walking, they can switch from bipedal position (while slow marches and while taking fighting stance) or walk on all four while chasing a prey.

This behavior is supposed to be the habit from the time of their ancestor, when beasts due to very harsh environment could not feed all of their youngs.
The color of their scales usually fades with environment, thus volcanic would be have red scales, while one living in the forest would be brown and green and cave grey.
There were many attempts in taming those beast, yet none succeed, and every tamer crazy enough to try such thing, was torn apart.

Those relentless creatures, if would hold grudge against someone, would chase them either till one of them would die, or till they would lost the trace.
Excellent hearing, smell and ability to sense heat makes them extraordinary predators.
Their danger rank was marked on[party B+] – (one of these creature should be battled by team of at least 5 B+ rank adventures to ensure chances of success)
