24. A Guest

Well that ruined my mood, I mean I’m rich, but still, if 30 goblins aren’t enough… I just have to make more. Though… it’s sad it’s two guys.

[You Have Killed Two Low Ranking VIP In The World]

[You Have Gained 2 Reputation Points]

[You Have Unlocked The “Missions”]

[You Have Unlocked The “Story”]

Oh… worth it. Isaac dragged the two bodies from the ground. Must be brothers or in a relationship. He commented on the holding hands and threw them inside the storage room.

After rubbing his hands, Isaac flew back to his throne and opened the two new features he unlocked out of nowhere.

Is this boring life finally going to end? Though that Souls Dome… Tian shook his head and opened both the system screens.

[World Missions]

[Accept/Decline]

No point in declining.

[World Missions]

[Side Missions][0/???]

[Story Missions][0/???]

[Main Missions][0/3]

Well based on the last one actually having a definitive number, it’s just obvious. Tian started to bite his nails and his skin itched.

[Main Missions]

[Conquer All The Countries][0/6]

[Defeat All The Gods][0/10]

[Make Your Own Country][0/?]

A screen that contained a prominent amount of information appeared in front of Isaac. He was overly delighted by the knowledge he gained, but at the same time, sweat fell down his face from the level of things he had to achieve.

To conquer six countries, defeat every God, and make his own country, which he couldn’t even get out of his own tower, how would that even be possible for him?

But before Isaac could finish his thoughts, a loud voice erupted from his left.

“I am done!” Daranda burst the door open, it was due to some weird power that those doors didn’t even break. Isaac leaned up from his chair and looked at Daranda with cold and wide eyes.

She stood still while hugging the swords. “Bad time boss? Um… I can come back…” She took one step back. “Um…” Another step, “I can just…” Her feet touched the inside of the room. “Come back later.” She said in a hurry and closed the door.

Isaac leaned back in his chair and continued to the next mission screen. Let’s worry about the country thing in the far future, as it was placed in the same category as those two, it’s not that important right now.

[Story Missions][0/???]

[Defend Against Incoming 100 Soldiers][10 Days]

An attack from one hundred soldiers? In ten days? I don’t know how powerful those soldiers are, but based on their title as soldiers… never mind, it really is unpredictable. Hmm… I’ll have to prepare for that.

Isaac proceeded onto the other screen.

[Side Missions][0/???]

[None]

Oh, well um… I still really need to get out of this tower, so maybe I’ll add that as a personal mission. Now… He closed all the screens in front of him. After a few stretches, and a check on his body.

With it completely healed he proceeded with a smile.

[Story][2 RP]

[Minor Spoiler][10 RP]

[Major Spoiler][100 RP]

[Monthly Free Spoiler]

A screen that is said to be a “story” but is a store that sells spoilers… interesting. He pondered and came to an unpleasant conclusion. Isaac clicked upon his free spoiler and a screen in a video form appeared.

A system screen the size of the monitors from the dungeon orb showed a wide barren land filled with weird monsters. Isaac was intrigued by the unique monsters he saw, from various skeleton animals to random small chimeras, a fish that had wings, a giant zombie, and many basic monsters.

Yes, basic. Isaac recognized all the monsters easily, though none of them had ever appeared on earth, they were practically just normal animals but ruined and ravaged to some extent.

But Isaac’s gallery viewing soon stopped when a man came into view from the left. He walked slowly and the monsters agroed on him.

A skeleton fish bigger than the man with furred wings came flying down at him from his right. Then a zombie pig was running from his left.

The man acted calm. He didn’t flinch at the sight of such disgusting creatures. It was meters away from him and no reaction. Just 10 and still no reaction. Soon the fish came first.

From Isaac's point of view, the fish stopped as soon as it blocked the man. A few seconds passed and the man walked past the frozen fish. Then, it broke into pieces, revealing the pig from before also frozen.

What? Wait, how is this a spoiler, and how the fuck did he do that? The man wore a leather jacket over a white shirt. He wore leather pants with leather boots.

There were no swords, wands, shields, or anything. He had nothing but his hands in his pockets. Isaac didn’t see it due to the view, but he was certain his hands or some special ability could just kill something in a few seconds.

Isaac smiled and wondered about the man’s origin or his connection to the System. But soon that question will be answered.

As soon as the man left the screen, the camera view came flying down from the sky. It slowly shifted to behind the man and then a giant tower came into view. The man entered a broken terrain with dead trees.

The tower was completely black. It had multiple sharp points all symmetrically placed around the separated floors. First, it wasn’t much of an obvious structure. The tower was small, well, it was small compared to the size of what Isaac was placed at.

Stolen novel; please report.

But for a tower to exist outside of the world. Now that was something Isaac just had to believe was impossible. Even if the tower looked small inside that screen, a giant interior made from a small exterior wasn’t unheard of.

Isaac flew to the orb. It’s good to see what my backyard is… but It’s also interesting to see what such a powerful guest want from me.

Isaac closed the screen and opened another one from the first floor. He pondered for a few seconds what he wanted to do. It didn’t matter how strong the monsters he saw got killed actually were, but what matters was to asses the man’s powers.

He wore simple clothing which could just mean he was a retired “adventurer” or a “hermit”.

Isaac dragged the first floor’s screen with him and went to the summoning room.

[Summoning Screen][14,525 Soul Points]

[Goblins][25 Soul Points]

[Kobold][50 Soul Points]

[Orc][100 Soul Points]

[Ogre][250 Soul Points]

He scratched his chin and licked his lips. Isaac calculated the costs he was willing to risk for such a silly experiment. Though a thought of him going to the first floor entered his mind, he did feel like with an “infinite” number of lab rats, it was better for him to act like what he really was.

A demon… one who never fights and just makes their weaker subjects increase the man’s power. Truly such a brilliant idea! Remember, Isaac never really had any knowledge about this type of situation. But his pride and recent powers had made him extremely arrogant despite the recent loss, which he was forced to forget.

Isaac clicked a single Ogre and thought of sending it to the first floor. Which disregards the purpose of the Configuration Room, but who cares, he was already able to twist many features of the tower to his liking. It was like the System was really him? It wasn’t that deep though.

The Ogre appeared in the room. It wasn’t that large when set into the perspective of the room, but it was definitely overboard to add any more. But then he remembered something.

Isaac flew outside of the room in a hurry. As he raced before the man entered the tower, considering the video he witnessed was real-time, a notification cleared all the questions.

[S-Rank Adventurer Garter Has Entered Your Tower.]

Oo… He gasped, though immediately realizing he was out of time. However, another thing happened that distracted him for a few seconds. Isaac had the screen set to the first floor and he didn’t have any thoughts of changing it.

Though the man was still visible on the screen, the Ogre disappeared. The first floor was small enough that the position of the supposed camera or any magic that allowed him to view the floor was enough to see everything, it just disappeared instantly.

Isaac entered the configuration floor, he swiped and swiped until he got to where he wanted.

[Forest][5,000 Soul Points]

[Rocky Mountains][10,000 Soul Points]

[Islands][20,000 Soul Points]

[Beach][30,000 Soul Points]

[Battle Field Plains][40,000 Soul Points]

[Ocean][50,000 Soul Points]

[Sky Islands][1,000,000 Soul Points]

He immediately clicked the cheapest option and flew back to the summoning room. Soon when he was at the halfway point, the Ogre once again appeared on the screen. Isaac had many theories already in his mind about the situation, but at the moment he wasn’t in the situation to do so.

The man dodged the scuffed movement of the Ogre. Rather than attacking, the man seemed to be observing. There were no freezing or exploding scenes on the screen. It was like the first time Isaac fought an Ogre in the Souls Dome, the room was far too small to hold such a monster.

Isaac didn’t even waste time to check on what the “Forest” looked like, but he just immediately pressed 10 Ogres to appear on the second floor of the tower.

He then flew back to the orb and prepared to switch to the next screen as soon as the Ogre had been defeated.

The man still did nothing. He was agile despite his visible beard and wrinkled face. With a swing of the Ogre’s arm, he jumped a meter high with no problem. When the Ogre shouted at enough pressure to blow a human, he stood still, though with visible struggle.

Minutes passed as the man played against the Ogre. It jabbed its arm forward and the man jumped up to his arm. He ran as it retracted. The man was flung to the Ogre’s face, with its mouth wide open and satisfied with his long hunt.

Hmmm… is he going to kill it from the inside and- The Ogre’s eyes closed and his body started to fall to the ground, finishing Isaac’s thought.

A door then appeared in the middle of the room. As the Ogre’s body disappeared into holographic dust, the man wandered his eyes. He placed it on the door and dropped on top of it.

A door… I’m learning a lot about how my own tower works today. The man got down and glanced once or twice around him. He entered the room and Isaac changed the screen to the second floor. He then went back to his throne and sat while eating air-like popcorn in a movie.

Isaac gasped upon the wide forest. For it to cost only five thousand soul points, it was worth the investment.

Like a real forest, the trees ventured everywhere. You couldn’t spot any area not covered with leaves. However, that same feature did give Isaac a problem. Okay, so I can definitely drag this to any perspective I want right? I mean, I should be able to. He dragged the screens down to the bottom of the trees and it worked.

Isaac’s estimation wasn’t perfect. His process of how he measured the room despite never being there himself was the size of the Ogres. Towering their heads above the trees, the ten different Ogres were far from each other despite their size.

Isaac dragged the screen until he could find the man. It was hard to see between the trees; so he went back to the sky and waited for an Ogre to react. This time, no monsters disappeared, which makes sense for what Isaac was thinking.

Soon enough, an Ogre reacted with a direct smash to the ground; destroying the trees and clearing an area. Isaac headed at the site immediately, as he raced with the other Ogres who reacted to the noise.

The man was dodging the Ogre like before once again. But unlike before when he observed the Ogre, the man was looking down and tapping in the middle of the air.

Isaac’s eyes widened and his mouth opened into a circle and changed to a cynical smile. So that’s why the first one I fought was weak.
