Did he need to do this for some grand plan? No, he did not, this public humiliation of orthodox leadership was something he personally found satisfied him.
To him pointing out the glaring hypocrisy of the orthodox helped him strengthen his own beliefs.
“Bring them over.”
As Feng Zhiming commanded, Li Zimo and Qin Hao brought over a group of 5 disciples of the Flowing River sect.
“Will you confess?” he asked once again to the devastated Sect Leader Li.
“I’VE NEVER DONE THOSE THINGS YOU’VE SAID!”
He continued to adamantly deny the accusations.
Feng Zhiming waved his hand.
Qin Hao brought down his blade cleanly, decapitating one of the Flowing River Sect's disciples.
"As a child, I was often told. Praise the great immortals. The great immortals are virtuous, the great immortals are perfect."
Feng Zhiming kicked Sect Leader Li in the stomach.
"But I knew, I knew about something the others didn't. I had seen what these so called true immortals were, they were no better then the very mortals they disdain, no, no, they were worse."
Feng Zhiming stomped on Sect Leader Li's head, smashing it into the ground.
"They had more power, they had abilities, longevity, beauty, but that was all they had. At their core they were still human, and so they lusted, they were greedy, they pillaged and violated and destroyed."
The entirety of the sect was listening closely to Feng Zhiming's speech.
"They played the game of kings and of emperors, orthodoxy, unorthodox. It's all a sham, just different kingdoms for different kings. At the end of the day morality is...."
Feng Zhiming's expression which had darkened began to return to normal as he took a deep breath in.
"They speak of honor and virtue when they should speak of agendas and how best to fulfil their agenda. They act as perfect beings, beings that can only ever be correct, so when they are contradicted that contradiction must die. Be that a curious child or dying old man, at the end of the day a child speaking out of turn would be executed and they would all say, that child deserved to die he offended the great immortal. I could go on and on, however I must digress. You see the very words I am speaking to you are an infringement on my own self worth, wasting my time lecturing to imbeciles."

At the same time Feng Zhiming began to focus his demonic phenomena on sect leader Li, it did not take effect yet, but it would.
“You know it’s funny because the burned man actually thought you were still an elder, imagine his surprise if he learned that a bastard like you actually led this sect.”
Feng Zhiming laughed as he spoke.
“Will you confess?”
“I have nothing to confess.” A weaker voice came out of his mouth this time.
Feng Zhiming waved his hand again.
Li Zimo set another disciple ablaze.
Feng Zhiming was done waiting.
“Confess.” He stated once again and this time his demonic phenomena began to take hold.
Sect leader Li who was watching one his disciples being burnt had been weakened enough to the point where it began to work.
“CONFESS! CONFESS! CONFESS!”
His head was filled with a voice yelling at him.
He began to see a woman’s silhouette in the distance.
She called to him, as her face began to melt.
“confess, confess, you killed me!”
The closer the silhouette came the more it began to devolve into something no longer human, just a horrific mass of flesh.
His vision began to darken and all he saw was the terrifying sight, except one source of relief.
He began to hurriedly crawl towards the light running from the darkness and found himself clinging to Feng Zhiming’s leg.
Feng Zhiming began to push him back into the darkness, but this is where he broke, he could no longer keep his sanity.
“I DID IT ALRIGHT, IT WAS ALL ME! I BURNED HIM AND I VIOLATED HIS LOVER!”
The disciples of the Flowing River sect began to drop their weapons as they heard the horrific confession.
“THAT BASTARD DIDN’T DESERVE ANY OF THE ATTENTION HE RECEIVED, ON TOP OF THAT HE ACTUALLY REJECTED HER ADVANCES, HOW COULD I LET IT BE!”
Sect leader Li began to beat his hands on to the ground, shattering it.
“AND I DON’T REGRET IT, I COULD NEVER REGRET IT! TODAY I AM SECT LEADER BECAUSE THAT BASTARD RAN!”
Feng Zhiming reined in his demonic phenomena, he did not need it anymore, all that he had wanted to reveal had come to light.
“AND IF I COULD DO IT AGAIN I WOULD! BUT NOW IT DOESN’T MATTER THE RED HAIRED FIEND WILL COME FOR YOU AS HE CAME FOR US!”
Feng Zhiming dismissed Qin Hao, Li Zimo and the three hostages.
Only him, the two elders, Tian Yu and Sect leader Li remained, he stopped broadcasting the conversation.
Feng Zhiming turned his back to the group as he gazed at the main hall, something was happening there, a clash of sword intent.
Suddenly he felt a violent gust of wind behind him.
“Can’t help your nature can you?” Feng Zhiming turned his head as he spoke, to find a shield just mere centimeters away from bashing his skull in.
