Arthur's words instantly grabbed some attention.
The Academy's number one trash was being called out in public.
The students had more important things to do than beating a weakling like Emil, but they didn't mind staying for a show.
Emil tried ignoring Arthur and walking away, but he stopped him by standing in front of him.
"Trying to run away?
You're not getting anywhere."
Arthur raised his badge and flipped it upside down, a blue hue emitting from it soon after.
"I, Arthur Galahad, challenge Emil Ashdown to a duel."
Arthur, unless he wanted to face punishment, didn't dare to break the Academy's rules again like last time.
All he could do was abide to them, and challenge Emil to an official duel.
"Well I Emil Ashdown refuse this challenge, now move outta the way."
Emil read the rules. If he accepted the duel a barrier would form around them to make a ring in order to prevent others from intervening or the damage from spreading.
At that point, unless one of them passed out or admitted defeat the duel wouldn't end.
He could very well get hurt, possibly another broken arm or more, and it would still be within the academy rules.
However, that would only be the case if he accepted the challenge.
He could just reject it and move on with his life and the Incel, Arthur, wouldn't be able to do anything.
And that's exactly what he did. He wasn't gonna sign up for a battle he was gonna lose.
"Hmph, piece of trash. Are you too afraid to battle me? Where's your pride? I knew you were garbage but not to this extent.
Fucking pussy.
You don't even belong here. Get the hell out of here back to being a slave. That's where you belong."
Arthur tried his best to provoke Emil after his challenge was turned down.
The spectators' ears perked up when they heard the word slave.
"What's he mean by slave?"
"Don't you know? He used to be a servant of the Burton family before coming here.
Miss Olbrecht confirmed it."
"Hoho he's the academy's number one trash alright. Always full of surprises."
Emil paid no attention and kept walking away.
It wasn't like their words didn't hurt. He was human and he had feelings. everytime people looked at him with scorn, everytime they called him trash, a piece of his heart was chipped off.

But he had to stay strong.
Emil had a goal here, and he wasn't gonna let the words of some privileged noble kids keep him from it.
They were born to good families, grew up in a rich environment and were bearers of great talent. They didn't work for any of those things, they just happened to be luckier than others.
If anyone was gonna judge it shouldn't be them. They didn't have the right to.
Arthur grinned when he saw Emil walk past him for the second time.
He was gonna stir shit again.
"Yeah that's right, go back to papa and mommy. What war heroes, they weren't even willing to take care of their own child. They're trash just like you."
Emil stopped in his tracks.
Arthur's provocation seemed to work.
'Yes! I knew this bastard's weakness was his family. He got worked up in the class this morning.
Come on now take the bait, I'm gonna make sure to break all your limbs so you'll be squirming in the infirmary for at least another month.'
Arthur's heart bubbled with excitement when he saw Emil walk towards him and take down his badge before flipping it upside down.
"I, Emil Ashdown challenge Arthur Galahad to a duel."
Arthur followed suit.
"I accept the challenge."
The two blue hues emanating from their badges merged and formed a twenty square meter barrier around them.
It was see through so the spectators didn't have any trouble watching.
A countdown appeared above the ring.
10...9...8...7...
"This is gonna be fun."
"What fun? Arthur's gonna beat him black and blue."
"Yeah, he's in the second order of the red stage while the trash seems to barely have any cultivation."
"To begin with who the hell challenges an injured opponent? Doesn't he have any shame?"
"Well technically it was the trash who challenged him so..."
"Shut up smartass, that's not the point."
The spectators conversed along themselves.
"I'll make this easy on you and won't even use a spell. How's that sound?"
Arthur was smiling from ear to ear. He felt quite generous today.
Emil said nothing. His expression was hard to read but it wasn't difficult to tell he was mad from earlier.
3...2...1
The countdown hit zero and Emil could feel himself moving again.
Without wasting any time, Arthur rushed at Emil and raised his arm for a punch.
He stayed true to his words, he wasn't using spells. He only augmented his body, which he reckoned was more than enough to flatten Emil.
To no one's surprise, Emil was sucker-punched by Arthur in their first exchange. He was too fast for Emil to dodge.
Emil was sent rolling on the ground for a good few seconds.
Arthur didn't attack and allowed Emil to get up, cough a few times and even wipe his mouth.
It'd be no fun if it ended too quickly. He was gonna humiliate Emil thoroughly.
Rushing in again, he went for a kick instead of a punch this time.
Emil was able to raise his arm in defense, but that didn't reduce the impact too much. He felt his right arm almost breaking as he was sent jumping a few meters away.
Arthur hit heavy, Emil felt like a child going against an adult.
"What's the matter trash?"
Arthur yelled as he rushed in again.
A kick planted itself in Emil's stomach.
"Where's you spirit now huh? Do you admit to being trash now huh? HUH?"
More than a few of the spectators shook their head.
Arthur could win the bout without making himself look like an asshole, but he chose otherwise out of sheer idiocy.
Asshole or not, he was winning, and Emil could do nothing to stop him.
Without allowing Emil to get up, Arthur kicked him again and had him squirm on the ground like a worm.
"Yeah, that's what I wanna see."
He bent down and restrained Emil before whispering into his ears.
"I'm gonna break every single bone in your body now, including your already broken arm. Feel like giving up yet?"
He received no response.
"That's what I like to see. Good boy.
Now let's see how long you can last."
Without much hesitation, he dislocated Emil's right shoulder.
But to his surprise there were no yells of pain whatsoever. He was sure that must've hurt like hell but Emil was taking it like a champ.
At this moment, a fist was sent flying towards his face.
For the first time in the match, he thoughrouly let his guard down and stopped augmenting his body. add in the surprise factor, he had no hopes of stopping the punch.
*Crack*
Arthur had the lights blown out of his head.
The trash was heavy handed!
He wasn't even augmenting his body so how was he so strong? Not to mention he wasn't half as this strong when they fought just two days ago! So how!?
He had no chance to contemplate as another punch followed suit, this time breaking three of his teeth at once.
