Emil was ruthless.
He didn't show Arthur any ounce of pity as his right fist drilled its way into his head like a hammer.
"Wh-What the..."
The spectators were shocked silly.
Emil was hitting back and he was doing so hard at that.
The trash was getting beaten the whole match, he clearly didn't have any power. Not to mention he just had his freaking shoulder dislocated, that would've made any of them squirm like a bug for hours to come so how was Emil fine?
Perhaps none of that shocked them as much as Emil's sheer violence.
He only aimed for the head and kept hitting the same spot without even letting Arthur breath let alone fight back.
Arthur, even if he wanted to, couldn't admit defeat under these conditions.
*Crack*Crack*
Emil broke probably half of Arthur's teeth before letting him go.
But he wasn't done yet. He was only changing positions so he could kick him instead, his arm was getting tired.
Many kicks to the stomach and other vital areas followed suit, making Arthur throw up blood like a fountain.
When Emil was done having his fun with his opponent, or in other words broke every single bone in his body, he bent down and started whispering.
"Do you admit defeat now, trash?"
"I..."
*Coughs Blood Violently*
"I athmit sefeat."
A pained voice groaned out, barely audible to Emil's ears.
The barrier was taken down soon after, Emil had won the match.
He felt a vibration is his pocket soon after.
"Sweet lord, a hundred points for winning the match? I forgot there was a rule like that."
Emil smiled happily like a child, dried blood coating his hand and clothes, some even on his face.
That's all he had to say before leaving for his house.
He had things to do. He needed a shower, and had to head to the library thereafter.
He who initially started the day in a bad mood and had to deal with Miss Olbrecht afterwards felt refreshed after giving Arthur the beating of a lifetime and even earning himself a hundred Merit Points.
The duel turned out to be a hidden fortune. The heavens were truly fair!
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
Emil headed home with those thoughts in his head, a silly smile on his face.
One wouldn't believe he just mercilessly mutilated a fully healthy person few minutes ago.
After breaking out of their stupor, the spectators hurried Arthur to the infirmary.
To Emil or Arthur's luck, there was a Light element mage present among the spectators who proceeded to cast a few life-saving spells on the man, which coupled with the pills he was fed on the way, sustained him until he made it to the infirmary.
Otherwise, there were chances of him dying.
Emil went too far.
Students could not only get expelled but also banned from the royal academy, the capital city, and any other magic academy within the kingdom depending on the severity of the situation.
He could've ended up ruining his own life over the words of an incel like Arthur.
Even though Arthur survived, Emil was sure to face consequences, but they wouldn't be too severe considering it was an official duel.
He'd lose more disciplinary points at the worst case scenario, which was a bad outcome, but more than worth the price.
Emil, on his way to his dorm, remembered about his dangling dislocated right shoulder.
His thoughts were so busy he didn't even notice the pain until now. Not that it was anything compared to what he experienced every night.
With no other choice left, he paid the infirmary a visit and had his shoulder relocated. There he saw Arthur laying on a bed, crippled.
A small sense of relief washed over him when he saw he was alive.
He knew he got out of control earlier. But the damage was already done. All he could do once the match was over was hope for him to survive.
On his way out, he was intercepted by a disciplinary agent.
"We need to have a talk."
Nobody was inside the infirmary beside the unconscious Arthur so they decided to speak there.
"You'll be losing disciplinary points for violence against a fellow students.
The purpose of duels is for students to settle their differences in a civilized manner, not cripple one another.
Do you have anything to say in your defense?"
Emil paused for a while.
"Yes, i do in fact. He threatened to do the same exact thing to me. He'd already dislocated my shoulder and threatened to break every single bone in my body.
I only defended myself, how am I facing punishment for self defense?"
The agent's reply didn't take long to come.
"Your self defense does not include mutilating fellow students. You could have stopped once the opponent was defeated but according to the testimonies, you spent a good few minutes thoroughly beating on your opponent without a chance to admit defeat.
With all that being said, You'll be losing 5 disciplinary points as punishment, bringing the total to 20."
The agent's words made sense, they were the truth. Emil had nothing to say about that so all he could do was dish out his badge and allow it to click against the agent's.
"Further violation of academy's rules will result in the loss of more disciplinary points.
You only enrolled and you already have a bad reputation, keep this up and you'll be expelled within a month."
The Agent left after giving Emil a piece of his mind.
He had a point, Emil had to stay out of trouble from now on if he didn't want to get expelled.
With all that being said, he got away somewhat lightly so he was relieved. There were no immediate consequences to losing 5 disciplinary points. All he could do now was midning his behavior, or figuring out a way to pull his shenanigans without breaking the academy's rules.
Emil left the infirmary soon after the agent and took a bath before wearing a clean set of clothes and heading to the library.
He had to learn more about cultivation techniques and if possible, get his hands on a standard version of one to further study and modify his nameless breathing technique.
...
The school had two types of libraries, the normal library filled with general knowledge and the magic library, filled with spells and techniques for the students' use.
Each student had free access to the normal library, while the magic library required payment in the form of Merit Points for its books.
Emil borrowed a book regarding cultivation techniques from the normal library before entering the magic library and purchasing a Mid-Grade first Rank Cultivations Technique for 100 points.
He could've gotten a lower grade one for cheaper, but he wanted to get his hands a good one since he was gonna study it thoroughly.
The technique he bought was the best one in terms of price to performance ratio and he was expecting good things from it.
Once he was done with the library, Emil went back to his dorm to catch some sleep.
He had an exhausting day and he needed some sleep to be at peak energy for his studies.
