"Maki! Are you coming?" I call on her outside the church.

"Wait. I'm coming." She runs quickly outside before latching on my arms again.

(This feels natural now despite the fact that it's only few hours or two when we met. But I don't hate it.)

"So. Going to academy next?" She asked as we start walking.

"Yep. There's this class I want to try." I replied.

"Which one?"

"The survival one. I believe the teacher's name is what is it again? Nern... Hern..." I said thinking.

"It's Bern. Bernard August." She answered with a flick on my forehead.

"My bad. My bad." I replied with apologetic smile.

"Hmmm... So you will join his class huh..." She utters amused.

"Well survival is a must right?"

"Well yes." She replied.

"Yep."

"Err what? Did you say something?" I asked not hearing what she said perfectly.

"I... I see..."i replied with a sigh. "I thought I'm in trouble." I added.

I continue walking forward for a few minutes following the paved road when I finally saw the main front entrance of the academy. There are a lot of people here. Probably dicers and stuff. I quickly head in and saw a counter directly infront the door so I head there right away.

"Good day miss. How may I help you?" The receptionist girl smiled at me.

"I'm here for tutorial and class."

"For tutorial please take this." She hands over a pamphlet. "This is now the standardized manual that is given for low level players. And for the class, may I ask what class do you want to join?

"Um.. the survival one."

"Oh sir Bern's class right? Your lucky since his class will start 10 minutes from now. Please feel free to head at the second floor. On my right stairs. And the very first room you see upstairs is the room." She instructed.

"Got it. Thank you miss." I gave my gratitude.

"Simply doing my job." She replied with a smile.

I head upstairs and saw a room with open door right away. I tried peeking in and saw few people inside already. Some of them wears armor while others are wearing just casual clothes. I sit on an empty sit at the back on the opposite end of the door and wait for class. After few minutes Bern went inside the room and greet woth a very loud voice.

"GREETINGS EVERYONE! I AM YOU PROCTOR FOR TODAY AND IN MY CLASS WE WILL DEAL ABOUT SURVIVAL IN THE WILD!!!" He said as if screaming to everyone.

(Wow. I know he is loud with our talk earlier but I didn't know he was this loud.)

Then the class continued mostly about explaining the importance of prepared journey, gathering information in the area, studying monster's behavior and any more things important for survival.

"Now that we are done with survival the next class are supposed to be beginners course for skill usage and experience in combat. However your proctor for that class had an emergency so I will teach you guys in exchange. Now everyone that stays for the next subject follow me. Let's head to area 5." He urged and everyone quickly followed including me.

We follow him outside the building and walk towards the right part of the academy. There we saw a large drawing in the ground. It looks like a magic inscriptions. A large dice are drawn in the ground with smaller dice inside.

"Everyone step inside the drawing." He said while already standing at the center. "Make sure you are inside. This inscription is large so no need to think about sticking together. We can all stand here easily even lay down without problem." He added as we all follow his order.

"Well then before we head out allow me to explain first what is this." He points at the drawing below our feet. "This is the teleportation areas. Although we call this area this is not comparable to the area divisions in each zone. You can also find one of this in the town near the church and one near the south entrance. Coincidentally the academy lies on the north entrance as such all entrance got one."

"Sir I have a question." I raise my hand and ask.

"Can we use this to travel to different zone?" I asked curiously.

"Oh that the answer is no. But there is another one called "zone teleportation area" instead. There is one below the academy grounds and one inside the church." He answered

"I see. Thanks for the answer ."

"Good. Then everyone get ready we will now go to zone 5."

He quickly make us go quiet before chanting.

"Teleportation start. Destination Area 5."

"Yes" he answered.

Teleportation commenced-

Upon hearing the activation a bright light swallowed us and the next thing we knew we are already standing on the grass plains.

(Whoa... It literally took a second ...)

"Alright stop doing things and gather." He said while urging us to gather near him.

"First every sit on the ground and listen."

All of us sit on the grass. It's soft and actually pleasuring because of the slight heat from the sun.

"Skill usage is simple to learn but hard to master. The reason is simple. Skill usage is simple as hell. Just use skill and voila it's there. There is no need to train how to use the system will always make you be able to use it perfectly. That said what you need to become great dicer is imagination. For example take the fireball dice in the starter bag."

I look at the starter bag he gave me earlier and saw a skill dice with fire icon.

"Hold that die and think in your head this words "equip fireball skill." And you will receive a prompt. Accept it.

A fireball shoots out of his hand hitting the ground.

"That is simple activation if you leave it all to the skill activation system. But that little fluff ball won't do anything in an actual fight. What you need to do is something like this."

Once again he open his hands forward and shout "fireball!" A ball of fire shoots again but this time before it hits the ground he quickly point his finger up and the fireball drifts then fly upwards before exploding midair.

(Whoa it bent...)

"What you saw just now is still a fireball. But what is the difference? It's simple. I added additional command. The commands I used goes like this. "Set 5 countdown. Shoot fireball then follow the direction of my finger before expanding in size after the countdown." In my head before shouting fireball." He explained.

(So basically I can also add different commands in each skills. But if that's the case...)

"Sir I have a question!" I raised my hand.

"Shoot!" He replied while pointing at me.

"What are the limits of command?" I asked curiously.

"You can use your imagination. And if it isn't possible the system will message you right away after issuing your command." He replied.

(That sounds kind of vague but I can understand.)

"Thank you sir."

"Now for the experience all of you are free to try it out. Aim to defeat 5 monsters here and return to me after. It will serve as experience. That said make sure to not leave area 5 and 6." He said.

Everyone simply answered "yes sir"

(Now then I kind if want to test fireball again but let's check the skills we have first. There are 5 more dice here. Mainly it's water, wind, earth, light, dark with the fire already used. Now lets equip them all.)

After equipping them all I walk towards the plains where I saw a single sheep like monster.

(Let's see ... That one looks timid so let's use that one as target. I want to try if I can use conditions here. Here goes nothing...)

I breath deeply first to concentrate before starting commands.

(Set countdown to 5 and make the skill light shine brighter. add additional condition to shoot fireball behind me then set countdown on fireball to 3. upon the end of countdown the skill fireball will follow my finger.)

"Light!" I shout while pointing my finger at the monster.

The small light travelled forward. After it's close enough to the monster remaining unnoticed it shine brightly blinding the monster. At the same time the fireball launched upwards unnoticed after getting blinded by the light. After the countdown I point at the monster when the fireball launched in the air suddenly approached the monster rapidly from the air hitting it directly.

"It worked!" I jumped around in joy."

"Not bad."

"Eh?" I look behind me and saw Bern watching.

"That combination is fluid. If used against humanoid enemies they won't notice the fireball approaching. Although what you did is kinda useless against this guys" he said while pointing at the monster I hit. "Cause this guys are walking free exp. they don't care all they want is eat grass. But great combination nonetheless." He added as he pat my shoulder.

"I see. Thanks for the information."

"No problem. Keep it up."

"Okay!" I replied enthusiastically.

With that I continue doing various conditions as I beat some monsters around. I got a bit excited and ended up beating 20 of them.
