"Eris... Huff... Huff... Where is the damn slime?" Velvet groans after walking for a long time.
"Are we actually lost?" Elly looks worried on Emy's back.
"I think so... But that's weird." I look at my party members behind me.
(I believe bern told us that the way inside this cave are only two paths. And the road only splits inside. That said we never saw any split roads and we are walking straight for a long time already.)
"By any chance... Are we walking in circles?" Velvet asked.
"Perhaps. But how is that even possible? Any idea sis?"
"If you can't think of any idea then I doubt I can Elly."
"This is bad..." I can only say those words as we keep going.
The cave's walls remained the same no matter how many times we walk. Even the torches on the wall seems to repeat itself as if we are walking on... Circles?" An idea comes to my mind.
"Wait. I want to test something."
"Feel free. At this point I'd rather let you go nuts then continue walking here all day." Velvet finally kicked the bucket and decided to sit on the ground holding her parasol. Emy lowered Elly and followed suit.
"Fireball!" I shoot a fireball on the wall of the cave and it exploded on contact leaving a hole.
Hmmm...?
(I noticed something...)
*Gasp*
"Hey look at the hole!" Elly points at where the fireball hit and then we saw...
(The wall slowly regenerates? How is this even possible? As if this wall is...)
"SHIT!" I shouts at them!
"What's wrong Eris?" Emy asked as she noticed me panic.
"It would be best if I am wrong but I think this wall or this cave is a freaking slime!" I told them.
"SLIME?" They all replied in unison.
"Yeah. I am not sure why but I think the slime somehow assimilate or controls the wall. Since this kind of regeneration is like how slime returns it's pieces back to itself." I explained.
"Certainly... But how is that even possible?" Velvet stares at the wall as she think.
"So how do we exit here?" Elly asks worried.
"How about we let Eris spam that fireball or flare she loves so much?" Emy grins at me.
"Hey!" I replied with a shout while laughing.
"No seriously that might be a good idea." Velvet agrees.
"Well... Might as well... Alright leave it to me!" I decided to agree with the halfhearted plan.
"Alright here we go! Flare!"
I use my flare skill to the wall instantly opening a huge hole. The hole slowly starts to regenerate.
"Damn I just have to use it repeatedly."
(Set countdown to 3. Use flare and after the countdown use flare again. Then upon recast of flare start again from the very first command. End this loop after the user say stop.)

"All right Let us out!"
As soon as I scream the name a flare skill hits the wall instantly tearing it down. Then after 3 seconds another one appears. This went on again and again as we all just simply sat down and wait what happens.
The ground shakes violently and inaudible sounds of screaming are heard. Then all of the sudden the flare looks like as if it got absorbed or more like it just got gulped down by a huge black jelly like creature. By huge I seriously meant huge as it looked as big as the whole room we use in the moonlight inn.
"So that's the slime. The moment it appeared the wall stopped regenerating." Elly said.

"Well then have a taste of this!"
I open my hands and aim it at the slime before screaming.
"Flare!"
I activated the flare skill I always use hitting the slime directly but no matter how long I watch it the flare barely did anything. In fact I can even say that the slime loved it, as it soon absorbed it like the flare earlier.
"Damn... My flare didn't do shit." I cracked a smile to hide the fact that it made me panic.
"Shit our flamethrower is useless!" Velvet shouts at the slime.
"Flamethrower!?" I shout at it too.
"Any more spells?" Elly asks.
"Sadly eris is the only one with offensive skills among us that is not physical." Emy said.
"Are we doomed?" Elly starts shaking from creeping fear.
"Wait I can still try something. Elly come with me." I called emy as we walk closer to the slime just 5 steps away.
"What are your plans."
"Velvet and Emy protect us. Elly after I use frost try attacking the frozen area." I asked elly.
"Oh so that's your plan. Got it. I'm in!" Elly quickly realized my plan.
"What are they planning to do?" Emy looks at velvet.
"Eris probably wants to freeze the slime to halt it's regeneration and let Elly break the frozen parts." Velvet explains to Emy.
"Oh that's actually witty." Emy smiles at my way.
"Let's do this Elly. Frost!" I use the skill frost to the slime. Although it got hit only a small part of it's body got frozen but Elly followed the plan anyways and use ground pierce to the frozen part breaking it down to pieces.
The frozen blocks that got hit by Elly drops on the ground. After few seconds it still didn't show any signs of it returning to it's main body.
"Alright it's proven. Frost is one of it's weakness!" I shout at Emy and Velvet.
"But you are the only one with frost skill here Eris." Emy shouts back.
"Fuck! I can't use this skill every 3 seconds." I shouts at them again.
"No choice Eris just do it again and again till we defeat it. We will protect you!" Velvet and Emy run towards me.
"Fine. Frost!" I use the frost again this time it's wriggling tentacle like slime parts got frozen then Elly and Velvet cuts it right away to break it into pieces.
The slime finally starts attacking after receiving the frost skill twice in a row. Multiple tentacle like slimes extends from it's main body wriggling in the air and suddenly it hardens and pierce forward hitting my thighs and other part of the wall. Elly pulls her sister as she tries to go towards me while the slime parts are still piercing everywhere. Fortunately Velvet used her open parasol blocking the slimes attack towards Elly and Emi before it return back to the original body. I dropped on my knees as I hold the hole it made on my thighs barely holding back the urge to scream from pain.
"Fuck it hurts." I groan while holding almost hugging my thigh now with a hole and bleeding.
Emy panics a lot as she scavenge her bag looking for potion while throwing other stuff she deem useless in panic. She quickly open the cap of the potion using her teeth and make me drink the potion almost shoving it on my mouth. After drinking the potion the hole in my thigh slowly returned to normal easing the pain.
"Phew... Thanks Emy." I touch her cheeks and gently wipe her tears with my fingers. Then pat her head. "You always cry easily. I told you we will be fine. Just calm down okay?" I added.
Emy nods before wiping her face and look at the slime again.
"Done flirting you two? It's about to attack again. Hide behind me!" Velvet grins before facing the slime with her parasol open.
"Let... Let me help! Force field!" Emy now managed to calm down use her skill
The slime starts attacking relentlessly again. It's extended parts piercing everything even bending midair and attacking our back side where velvet can't block. Luckily Emy's forcefield works great on this as it blocks all the slime attacks.
"Phew. Good thing it worked." Emy dropped on her knees after feeling out the pressure.
"Don't calm down yet. The slime are still standing strong!" Velvet warns us as the slime starts to grow more slime tentacles as I called it and starts attacking discriminately once again drilling holes everywhere.
After the onslaught I quickly use frost on the slime freezing the already extending parts and followed by Elly's ground pierce hitting the frozen parts instantly breaking it to pieces.
"We already broke few pieces but the slime doesn't even look weak at all. How do we defeat this?" Elly sighs.
"Just focus for now and let's reg- ugh!" Velvet didn't finish her words as a piece of slime came out of the ground piercing her belly.
"Velvet!" Emy tried to catch her up only to get pierce by 2 more slime tentacles also coming from underground. Elly and me quickly jumped away to evade the other slimes underground as Emy and Velvet falls.
"You two use your medallions NOW!" I scream at them in which the two followed right away instantly disappearing in the cave.
"Shit. Now it starts burrowing underground. How are you feeling el- shit. ELLY!"
As I turn around I found Elly already pierced on her limbs. I quickly use frost instantly freezing the tentacles and tackle Elly away carrying her towards the corner far enough from the slime.
"Elly drink this!" I take a potion from my bag and make elly drink it.
*Chug* *chug* "Phew... Thanks Eris." Elly replied weakly.
"You lost quite the amount of blood already. So use the medallion and return." I gently rubs her head.
"What about you... I can't leave" *coughs* "I can't leave you alone." Elly replies as she cough.
"Don't worry. I just need to work harder. Now go. I can't do something if I am worried with you here." I reassure her once again.
"Got it... Take care." Elly smiled before she used the medallion.
(Now it's just me and this slime. I need to do something. Let's recall everything we can do. Remember frost skill will make my other skills in cooldown for 3 seconds after use which probably means any higher tier skill than beginner skills will have a cooldown. That means after I cast frost I need to do something for 3 seconds to delay the slime. Lets change our equipped skills.)
I open my bag and take all my skill dice.
(First this frost is needed. Next is flare incase I need heavy attack skill. Third is this earth spear. So I can use something to break the frozen parts. Next is I'm not sure if it will work but I can use water and light in case the torches got removed for light. And lastly a basic skill called air. I might use this to push me or increase speed of projectiles incase.)

I pumped myself up and walk towards the slime.
"Frost!" I used frost right away freezing the ground where I stand and towards the slime. A small part of slime got frozen.
The slime release another batch of slime tentacles now wriggling at the air and starts attacking like before.
(Perfect 3 seconds passed.)
"Earth spear!" Earth spears starts sprouting infront of me as I run around the spikes.
"Earth spear!" A single earth spear hit the ceiling above the slime.
"Water ball!" I throw water ball above the slime with a condition to explode upon contact and spawn another water ball to where it hit repeatedly. It hit the earth spear rooted on the ceiling. Now the slime and the ground below it got wet.
"Followed by FROST!" I used frost again this time instantly freezing the whole body of slime because of the water I keep on pumping on it.
"Phew... It actually worked. Now 3 seconds to ki-" Cracks starts forming on the frozen slime and then it breaks the slime body still unharmed but the tentacles all broke into pieces.
"Damn it. Too much for a plan." I quickly run away creating a small distance just so I can observe what it will do.
The slime starts creating more slime tentacles from it's body. But this time I noticed that...
(The slime tentacles release are now slowed down a lot. I might have a chance if I keep up)
"Let's do this again. Frost! " I used frost again on the ground making it smooth this time including the ground around the slime. I slide towards the slime using my boots which is also frozen now since i stepped on the water earlier and now I include the heels when I used frost. The slime tentacles starts vibrating profusely and it suddenly moves very fast almost like a tool used by many.
"Is that a freaking whip!" I shout while slowly maneuvering the ice while evading the pseudo whip made from slimes tentacles.
"Damn it this slime and it's brain." I keep on sliding around waiting for the cool down and now is the time to do it again.
"Water ball!" I use water ball again with same condition hitting the spike above the slime which in turn explodes scattering water like a shower above the slime. I let it go for a while and decided to use the other plan.
I summon multiple earth spikes above the slime. Then I summon fireball far away with a condition that it will fly towards the ceiling where the spikes are rooted after 5 seconds. Then finally I used the spell once again after counting 4 seconds.
"FROST!" The slime gets frozen again this time almost instantly. Then after the freezing event which is exactly 10 seconds since the countdown the fireball I used now fly towards the ceiling triggering a small explosion that caused all the spikes to fall towards the frozen slime impaling the spikes directly to the body.

I watch the frozen slime waiting for it's reaction and after 10 seconds of waiting nothing happened.
"FINALLY DAMN IT!" I concluded that the slime is done since it didn't move since. I drop on the ground butt first flat and sigh on relief.
"Fuck... That was brutal..."
After resting for a while I stand up and decided to return.
"That's it I guess... Time to head ba-"
I didn't finish what I am about to say. All I noticed is the giant slime tentacle coming out of my stomach which pierced me from my back just right after I turned my back on it. Blood starts gushing out of my stomach
after it pulled it's tentacle away clearly leaving a clean hole. I tried using my hands to stop the blood but alas, the hole is too big.
"Fuck it... I..."
I fall on the ground face flat. Blood now leaking on the frozen ground. I feel the cold in my skin and now the numbness starts to spread in my body. I stretch my hand as if trying to crawl onwards but my body no longer moves. Before I finally lose consciousness I saw a beautiful woman walking towards me. On her steps, a bunch of flowers growing followed by the crying voice of my party members running towards me...
(Ah... Maybe I am now hallucinating since I am about to...)
There I finally lost consciousness...
