Dexter's POV;
Over the course of three months, the world changed. Now that Konoha is in an official war with Suna the minor villages also began to increase their military. River and Rain are directly between Suna and Konoha. Rain was still widely believed to be under Hanzo. Only a few knew the truth, I'm sure Danzo was one of them.
Danzo has seen what Nagato could do, he wasn't keen on sending his troops into such a death trap. He chooses River as the poor village that has to take the first attack.
Within only two month half of River was under control of Konoha. The other side was taken by Suna. Only Tanigakure was still in original hands, but under siege by Konoha from all sides. The insects of the Aburame-clan were creating diseases and epidemics inside Tani's walls.
Daichi thinks that the village will fall within the next two or three month. And with it will fall most resistances. Konoha will absorb the remaining troops and then attack the bunkered down Ninja and Samurai of Suna.
Suna, who took a large part of the fertile land of River choose to bunker down, rather than to push forward. They had the side with the minority of towns and military positions and as such would gain fewer troops once Tani falls.
Of course the other big villages were eyeing the situation with interest. Iwa was in the middle of preparing its troops for a coming war. Kumo closed its borders completely and ceased any contact with any nation, even us. And lastly Kiri, it was using the chance to buy cheap wood from Konoha for their rebuilding. They were far away from any fight and used the war to prepare the fight against the survivors, if there would be a fight for them at all.
We, with having Wave as our closest mainland nation, didn't stand idle as well. Our seal masters and ANBU were constantly in use to make Wave into a deathtrap. Their bridge still had my seals from my mission, they just had to be recharged.
And the surrounding seas were now unpassable without a counter seal against the massive whirlpools we've made.
The Chakra armor was now in full production and we started to distribute it to the Samurai of Kiri, Wave, and Spring, while our own got the best of the best.
This happened with us and the major nations, but there was more. The world passed the point of simple tension and nearly every country geared up. A world war was in view and everyone wanted a piece of the cake that would be cut.
Tsunade, Daichi and I think that the small stalemate in River will be over in the next five month. By then Konoha will have broken Suna's hastily made blockade and invade Wind itself.
At this point, Iwa will most likely also move and attack from the top. This is so going to be fun. A world war without my hyper strong golems. And Kura-chan is with me to watch. I truly found something good in this life.
Seven Months Later;
Well, not everything happened as I predicted. River did fall, Tanigakure surrendered four months ago. It's now under control of Konoha and their soldiers act fiercely loyal to their occupiers. Probably the use of mind altering drugs. Danzo did the same with Konoha's elite Ninjas
Those, namely Guy and Kakashi, are a major factor in almost any attack. Both were feared before the war, now with the curse seal, they are said to be unstoppable. Their lack of action during the Chunin exams in Suna was most likely because they had to escort the Genin. If you look over the minor slap Kura-chan gave Guy.
The blockade Suna created in their part of River was taken out in a special way. Konoha used crudely made ships to sail around the blockade and then attacked an easy to defend position from two sides.
This was not anticipated from Suna, and how could they? The Hanguri Gulf, the sea between Tea and the main continent, was under constant watch upwards of River. They had the southern fleet of Konoha in view and saw no movement.
Too bad for them that Yamato is not known to the world. He must've made these boats with his wood release. The new fleet then simply sailed behind the sea blockade and evaded them completely. The troops that were shipped over were led by Orochimaru himself, he and the cursed seal Ninja of Konoha took the unprotected back side of Suna's bunkered down soldiers without any problems.
With this bridgehead any other blockade was useless and Suna retreated out of River completely. They made another blockade on the river that passed through Suna's east side, it also acted mostly as the old border between Suna and River.
Yet, again, it was Yamato who just made a bridge with his wood release and the blockade was useless. Since then they are in a stalemate. Suna uses increasingly more guerilla attacks and Konoha sends more troops to kick them out of the fertile lands.
Konoha's strategy was easy to see. They wanted to take Suna's food production, the south-eastern part of Suna is responsible for most of their food. The fights there are the heaviest and have the highest death toll.

But not only Suna and Konoha acted up now. Sound did too. They used sneak attacks and assassinations to weaken its direct neighbors the Hidden Hot Spring Village. The Land of Hotsprings is a tourists nation without a real military. It's even the weakest village on the continent, just before Noodles.
Still, its citizen were now another source for new recruits and a curse seal user was easily as strong as a Genin or low level Chunin. Cannon fodder, used to run against the better trained troops of Suna. This allowed both Konoha and Sound to keep their stronger soldiers back until Suna's are weakened and exhausted.
So far everything happened as I thought it would. Both Tsunade and Daichi were surprised with Konoha's tactic of using ships, but I would have done the same. What surprised me was that Kumo is now at war with Iwa. The reason is not fully known to us, but it's said that Iwa Ninja invaded Kumo and attacked Yugito and B. A small ANBU team of Iwa tried to sneak up on B, but was defeated. They did manage, however, to catch Yugito and escaped with her. Hundreds of Iwa Ninja were seen at the battle.
Yugito was by this time no longer weakened by me and fought fiercely, yet my Fox summons told me that the dead Iwa Ninja simply stood back up and continued to attack. Some were even ripped apart and their body parts reconnected as if nothing did happen. Only fire kept them down.
This led me to believe that Konoha instigated the attack with the use of the Edo Tensei, but there was more, explosions were the main factor in Yugito's defeat. Deidara, who was known to come from Iwa, was also attacking.
Now I don't know if this was an Akatsuki only mission or if Oonoki hired them to get another Jinchuriki but the result was the same. A was angry beyond anything and declared war on Iwa.
At first they tried to attack each other on land. Kumo invaded Frost and suffered only minor causalities before it fell. Yet the problem came after that, Kumo was stopped right after in Hotsprings and Rice. Both were under Sounds control, they simply did not manage to effectively overcome their guerilla warfare. And they had to completely take over at least the coast region to send troops in an orderly and fast manner.
Iwa did not have that problem, at the start. They invaded Waterfall without batting an eye and annexed it into their lands. Without their Jinchuriki, Fuu, they had no real chance of winning. Their own Jinchuriki, still somewhat weakened by me, were strong enough to crush any Taki Ninja.
They then marched towards Iron and at first only took its southern part, however, they quickly found themselves with the same problem as Kumo. They were not able to march through Rice without heavy causalities. At first they probably took the rest of Iron just so that there would be no opposition, but Iron became important the moment they saw that Kumo had the same problems as them.
The problem for us came at the same time. They both launched massive fleets to fight each other on sea. That in itself was not troublesome for us, what was is that with Springs, previously Snow, newfound summer the ice on it has melted. The big ice floes and icebergs were no longer there. And with only Spring and Iron in the middle between each other it became instantly a highly wanted strategical target.
Iron was already in the hands of Iwa, so Kumo set its sight on Spring, as it was known to not have any real military.
Of course, Koyuki told both nations that she does not wand any troops on her soil, she was instantly ignored and asked me for help. So I went to the Raikage and told him that Spring was allied with Uzu and that I would be supporting her.
A, the hot-blooded fucker, didn't want to listen and declared war on Spring and its allies. I reacted as I thought I should and flipped the tea table over. Literally, we were drinking tea. I told him that this means war with Uzu and left right after.
Of course, I do not want to really fight Kumo, yet. Still, this did not stop me from turning the islands south of Kumo into a seal-death-zone. Any ship that wants to cross its coasts will be sunken and any army that was stationed on it got wiped away by massive fire and lightning seals. Large parts of it are now barren and the remaining seals act somewhat like mines.
I started to send seal master and scouts out to prepare for the future conflict. Some were positioned at Sky's west border to look out for any fleet, while a large group took position in the Kaizoku Sea to prepare some current seals.
I simultaneously began to prepare the coast of Spring, I started with its eastern coats. Iwa already had Iron and will only attack Spring when they are not able to launch their attack from there.
With me are half a dozen seal master and thirty ANBU of Uzu as well as ten thousand Samurai and two thousand Ninja. Both 'armies' equipped with Chakra armor. The bulk of our troops came from Spring. And of course Kura-chan, Mikoto, and Kushina were also with me.
“When do you think will they come?”, asked Koyuki. My seal masters captain, my ANBU captain, my body guards and Kura-chan were with me. Koyuki, her commander over her Samurai and her Ninja commander were also present.
We were inside the palace of Springs capitol, Koyuki's palace, and discussing our war plans.
“They will first have to fight against Iwa's fleet, that or an attack high in the north. Too bad that there are no longer any icebergs in their way. We could have made them into small fortresses”, replied her Ninja commander.
“Still, the coast has high cliffs and can easily be added with hidden bunkers. Your Shuriken weapons, equipped with some of our seals, will be a deadly defense. A normal Samurai will be able to use them”, suggested my seal captain.
“Yes, but depending on whom they send it might not work. B, for example, will just blast a hole in our defense with a Bijuudama”, said my ANBU captain in concern. All of our higher ranked Ninja were in the know about the abilities of a Bijuu.
“So? We can render him useless once we have sealed his Chakra”, replied the seal captain. I really should remember their names, but it's just so bothersome. The seal master is Genzo, I think. But I can't remember the name of my ANBU captain, he is so seldom with me.
“Genzo, you're getting overconfident with your trust in seals. It may be true that they can stop a rampaging Bijuu, but B has full control and knows how to evade such seals. I would have to apply the seal personally and if it comes to that then I will be out of the fight for some time.
Our fight would need to be far out on the sea, otherwise, we will destroy the coast”, I said, speaking for the first time.
Genzo apologised and bowed before speaking again.“You are right Uzukage-sama, but what else can we do? We have not enough troops to engage them in open battle and Spring is not made for guerilla warfare. There are no forests to hide, at least none where we expect the attack.
We might be able to stop them from using any siege weapons by creating whirlpools but their troops will still be able to water walk over them. Additional defence seals on the sand will keep them at bay for a moment longer, but Kumo has the most Ninja and Samurai in the world. They will want to attack us with overwhelming force so that they can quickly take Spring”, defended Genzo.
I nodded in agreement.
This will turn out into something like D-Day of the second world war. Our seals and Shuriken guns are Germans MG-nests and mines. While their artillery Jutsu and water walk will be their allied bombardment and landing troops.
The problem is that they have game changers. B is the biggest one, but there are others, right after B comes Darui with his black lightning. And then there are sure to be other high ranked Ninja that I don't know of.
Everything looks like we will have to prepare and see. If B is with them then I will have to take him out and our troops will have to hold the position until I am back.
“Dear? Could I not take command when you fight B? I'm sure that there would be no problems if your guards stay at my side”, suggested Kura-chan. Of course, how could I forget my dear wife? Must be because she is only now able to act outside of my body.
“Brilliant idea!”, I said in agreement.
“With due respect Uzukage-sama, I don't want to say that your wife is weak, but we will be faced with Kumo's strongest”, said the Ninja commander of Koyuki in concern.
I gave him a dosage of killing intent that left him white as paper before telling him what I think of his concern; “Yes I am sure! My wife is easily the second strongest in this room. And even if not, my two guards are strong enough to be Kage on their own”. It's true, Kushina and Mikoto were both Kage-level by now. One with her EMS and the other with Chakra chains and some extra given by me-
“Yes, of course, I apologize Uzukage-sama”, apologized the idiot hastily.
“Well then, seems like you three will have your debut in this fight”, I said, now addressing my guards and Kura-chan.
“Hai Uzukage-sama!”, replied both Kushina and Mikoto simultaneously. Kura-chan gave me a fanged smile.
“Good, then it's decided. We will prepare the northern-east coast with heavy fortifications, while the southern part only gets normal seal defenses and some look outs. I don't believe that they will attack there, but we can't be sure of it.
In case B is with them I will take him out and my wife, as well as my bodyguards, will take command. I'm sure we will stop them from creating a landing head”, I declared and the talk proceeded with which seals at what places in which quantities we will place.
My seal masters will do most of the work where we expect them to land, while I will do the rest with heavy use of my clones.
Well then, let Kumo come. I want to see a war.
