Chapter 53

Third Person's POV;

Dexter was walking over to Ao and left the whimpering Zabusa on the ground. The kick he gave his nuts will make sure of his none interference in the coming fight. And possibly stop any chance of fleeing on his own. Poor guy should be glad that he still have a nut left. Dexter only managed to kick one side in his 'accident' that happened when he stumbled over Zabusa.

He reached Ao a few moments later and then got the information from one of his dispelled clones that there were indeed warships out on the sea and on course to this island.

“They keep their distance, for now”, informed Ao. He had a wider range with his Byakugan than what Dexter had with the Rinne-Sharingan.

“That's good, you think you want to test one of my seals?”, replied Dexter. He then pulled a sealing scroll out of his mantle and unsealed something that strongly resembled a mounted machine-gun. The weapon was a black box, mounted on a tripod and with a long barrel on one side. The barrel wasn't horizontal but slightly raised upwards, like a mortar. There were also two imprints for the hands to rest upon.

“What does it do?”, asked Ao. Dexter's skills with seals were unquestioned, but seals are a mysterious Ninja-art for most Ninja and as such many saw anything relating to it with a good amount of wariness.

“It'll suck your Chakra and convert it into fire Chakra. This fire Chakra will then be refined and compressed into a bullet of highly potential and destructive fire Chakra. It is possible to change the Chakra affinity of the bullet, but for that, you need to change some parts of the turret.

I named it Chakra Mortar, it's not really precise, but has a good reach. You should be able to hit them from here, and your Byakugan will make aiming easy”, explained Dexter. He then put the Chakra Mortar on flat ground and stepped back for Ao to put his hands on the device.

Ao on his part was highly interested in such a weapon and reached out to the hand imprints. He almost jumped back when he felt the sudden Chakra depletion that came from the device and duly noted that a new Chunin would have been in a coma from one single use.

Lines on the device lit up in a bright red light and it began to hum. Then, only three or five seconds after the start, a red glow that quickly grew in its intensity started at the start of the barrel and a loud 'FUMP' accompanied by a short rush of heat signaled that the bullet was on his way.

The flying red projectile shot through the air and left a small red tail of heat behind. A few seconds later it hit the sea a few hundred meters away from one of the ships and an explosion rocketed the nearest ship. It didn't sustain any damage, but there was suddenly a blue bubble around the ship that shimmered up for a second and then was gone. The remaining ships had all the same reaction.

“Hmm, they have defense seals?”, mused Dexter. These seals weren't really hard. The village walls of Konoha and even some houses have them too. These defend seals were harder to breach but needed to be supplied constantly by Chakra. They were only used in war and almost never on normal missions.

Seals may be almost unused by most Ninja, but each village still had the dozen or so Ninja-skilled in seals. They were commonly not out in the field and used for defense as seals weren't good for attacks. That was if you weren't an Uzumaki.

“Yes, the fleet of Kiri is supplied with defensive seals against Chakra based attacks. They will still overload if they get too much damage, but are strong enough to defend against anything under artillery A-Rank strength”. Ao's frown was on full blast while he explained this bit of information.

Artillery Ranked Jutsu were rare and also only used in war. They can be made out of a single Jutsu or a combination of many Ninja activating a Jutsu. The water wall that was made as a counter against Madara's flame attack was such a Jutsu. The forest Jutsu from Hashirama was also one, as was the gold dust attack of the Kazekage.

“Wouldn't be of much use then to continue. The Chakra Mortar is only as strong as a high powered artillery B-Rank fire bullet Jutsu. Then let's test the Whirlpool”. Dexter's statement was followed by his resealing of the weapon and then unsealing of a tennis ball sized metal ball.

The ball was inscribed with seals and began to glow the moment Dexter put Chakra inside.

Dexter then threw the ball like an ordinary baseball and the glowing orb vanished from sight.

“It hit the water next to one of their ships”, reported Ao a few seconds later. He then got wide eyed at what happened next. The water around the impact zone began to bubble and then twist. The ship that was right next to it got caught in the, in strength increasing, twirls and twists and was then pulled under water by the sudden appearance of a whirlpool.

“The ship sunk, what was that?”. Ao was still looking at the whirlpool that just recently wasn't there and only a few seconds before had swallowed one of Kiri's mighty warships like nothing.

“A Whirlpool Ball. They are used in the coast of Uzushiogakure. They are the reason for our many whirlpools. Highly Chakra efficient and devastating on the open sea. The only downside is that they aren't moveable and can't be stopped once activated”, explained Dexter while taking out another thing. This time it was a simple binocular.

He used it to look at the remaining ships and found his target on the fifth ship. The small form of Yagura was standing on the railing of the biggest ship. His mirror staff was strapped on his back and his face held an expression of anger.

“How will you attack them?”, asked Ao while Dexter put the binocular down.

You might be reading a stolen copy. Visit Royal Road for the authentic version.

“I'll blast them away”, declared Dexter. He then used his trusty Asura Path and transformed his arm into the Chakra laser canon. He took aim and charged it before firing a beam of green Chakra at the closest ship.

The beam speeded over the water, boiled it while passing over it, and hit the ship up-front.

The protective bubble flared to life, parted the beam to both sides. However, the shield began to flicker after only a short moment and then disappeared. The beam then flew unhindered forward and slammed into the ship. Flames quickly engulfed the whole ship. Now with only wood as a resistance, the beam ate through the ship like a hungry worm.

It shot out of the other side after merely having contact with the ship for ten seconds. It continued on its path until it lost its movement and fizzled out a few hundred meters behind the ship.

Dexter thought of simply swinging his arm towards the next ship, but decided to stop the beam, the Chakra consumption was high and there must be more effective ways for taking out these ships.

Not that he couldn't do it, it was simply too boring to do so.

He decided a little diversity in this would be funny. So he created ten shadow clones, who then all henged into fish. These fish then swum towards two ships and released the henge. They then inscribed explosion seals on the hull and activated the seal.

The resulting explosion ripped the ships in two and they followed their two friends to the ground of the sea.

There were now only 6 ships left and they noticeably increased their effort in reaching Dexter and his group. Some Ninja even jumped off and used water walking to come close at a faster speed than what the ships could do.

The protection that normally came with being on a ship wasn't given, as Dexter clearly had shown that he could take their ships out in more than one way.

°Hey Kura-chan, you're skilled in using Senjutsu, aren't you able to take control of me and then use it to take them out? I don't want to waste my Chakra on them and the Chakra canon is the only thing that could take them out without being overkill°, asked Dexter mentally.

°Sorry, your body isn't used to Senjutsu, it would turn into stone if I would gather some. You need to train in it like the original did. But you could use a Bijuudama°, she replied apologetically.

°Fired as a beam would be good, the ball could be reflected by Yagura. The beam too, but only if he jumps inside the attack.° He agreed to Kurama's suggestion and went into the three-tailed fox cloak mode.

His three tails then pointed at the air in front of his mouth and the purple orb began to grow.

“Oh shit, you can do that too?”, asked Ao fearfully. He quickly deactivated his eye and stepped behind Dexter. It wasn't hiding, if he wasn't covering. Definitely not hiding.

Dexter then ate the ball and the ground under him caved in somewhat. His cheeks were puffed out and the next second an orange white beam shot out of his opened mouth. It raced the distance between Dexter and the incoming Ninja in a heartbeat and vaporized them within moments. He slightly moved his head to the side, so to catch anyone. The beam destroyed two more ships and Dexter only stopped the attack when Yagura jumped off of his ship.

The small man equipped his staff and pointed it directly at the incoming beam. It hit his staff and a mirror absorbed the remains of the attack. It then glowed and the head of Dexter came out of the mirror to fire the exact same amount of Bijuudama, it previously absorbed, out of its mouth.

The beam was as fast as the original, but not as long. It also reached Dexter and Ao quickly but was absorbed by Dexter's Hungry Ghost path, replenishing some of his Chakra.

“You can absorb Jutsu?”, asked Ao emotionlessly, he run all out of being stunned and simply accepted the new things he saw Dexter doing. By now a fully clothed Yuugao and a slightly pale Mei were also out of the house and behind Dexter.

“Uzukage-san, could you please explain what that on your status seal was? I mean the age section”, asked Mei the moment some silence was between the attacks.

“No”, was Dexter's simple answer. “This isn't for people outside of the family. And it's also not the time right now for things such as this. So if you please excuse me, I have to destroy the remaining ships and then capture Yagura.”

He then decided to finish the remaining ships quickly and then take on Yagura out to the sea. This had the downside that Yagura was way stronger with his water-loving Bijuu, but Zetsu couldn't watch them as well.

So Dexter began to sprint towards the remaining ships and then made ten shadow clones with more Chakra than normal. Seven of these clones turned to face Yagura, while the remaining three and he himself jumped upwards and began to form a Rasenshuriken.

Four Rasenshuriken were then flung towards the remaining ships, while Yagura was busy killing the shadow clones that wouldn't stop harassing him. Two of these clones even had the idea to make clones of their own. Those were way weaker than the original clone, but mass works sometimes.

Yagura found himself hard pressed to do anything than killing these pests and had to watch how his remaining ships were taken out by tiny blades of wind. The surviving Ninja, those who were intelligent enough to jump overboard, were then attacked by more shadow clones.

The original landed a few dozen meter away from Yagura and watched how the last clone was taken out of the fight.

“So the Uzukage decided to help these blood-scums of rebels?”, greeted Yagura with a sneer.

°We could undo the Genjutsu on him and be over with this°, suggested Kurama, alas without much desire for this course of action in her tone.

°Nah, I just grab him and use the Hiraishin for us to get out to the sea°, replied Dexter. He then undid all of his gravity seals and rushed with such speed at Yagura that the small man was not able to fully evade the palm punch. It hit him on the left side, rather than on the heart, and the seal was applied.

A green flash followed and he was gone, another yellowish-red flash followed and the spectators were left behind.

“They're gone”, informed Ao his three companions.

Mai looked miffed for being left behind but decided that not fighting was better than a fight with a high chance of losing. After all, Yagura was a Jinchuriki with full control of his Bijuu.

“He'll manage”, said Zabusa with a shrug. He then waddled back inside the house and continue with his wish of having Haku with them. Her ice would help enormously with his hurting crotch.

Yuugao gave him a nasty glare and then continued to watch the sea. Hoping that she would see him returning or maybe some part of the fight.

And ten minutes later there was indeed something to see. A giant explosion was visible in the far distance. This one was followed by a green slash towards the sky and then a giant red flame ball that looked like the sun. She called the others and they came running to see what happens.

This was followed a minute later by the sound of massive explosions and then even shock waves. There was a tsunami that rolled over the water and swept the newly regrown trees away. The group of four had to use water walking to not drown.

“This is a fight of two Kage?”, asked Mei fearfully. She thought that she was on the level of a Kage, but this looked more like the apocalypse. Storm clouds were now over the horizon and tornados grew by the dozen.

“No, this is a fight between Jinchuriki”, noted Yuugao. The fight off Orochimaru against Sarutobi was a fight between Kage, this one was way beyond.

Suddenly water began to rise upwards. It looked like gravity wasn't existing and millions of liters were raised gen sky. The water formed a giant bubble and glowing beams shot out of the bubble. They hit the water and more explosions graced the horizon.

“I'm able to feel their Chakra from even here, it must be enormous”, commented Ao in awe.

Then suddenly the bubble split in two by a green glow that traveled further outwards and even split the clouds. Water flew upwards alongside the glow and another explosion happened in the far distance.

Then a green light rose up in the sky and a red laser hit the light. The explosion threw the green light into the sea, but it shot back out as if nothing happened. It now also glowed orange and two big white spheres few at something. The spheres hit the water and grew into big white balls.

Water was flung upwards and something else that look like a grey-green ball came with it.

The ball was hit by another explosion and then nothing happened for a minute or two.

The green-orange glow descended from the sky and the group waited for three hours for something to happen. It was silent and there were no signs of any winner.

Then suddenly, almost four hours later, a red pillar shot upwards and lasted for half a minute. The pillar did nothing else and then was gone as suddenly as it came.

Soon after Dexter plopped back with his Hiraishin, carrying a dead Yagura on his back. His clothes were tattered and only his trousers were left. His arms showed heavy Chakra burns and his face was dead tired.

However, he also looked quite pleased with himself and threw the now dead Kage to Mei's feet like a sack of potatoes.

“Here, one dead Mizukage for delivery”, he grinned and then sat down himself.

Yuugao was quickly on his side and hugged him in relieve.
