After Gray’s body reached a state of normalcy, he was able to start cultivating his dantian again, and he managed to break through to the third stage of the Martial Realm only a week later, with his body improving the whole time.

During this week, he had more than doubled the strength of his muscles and bones, and his skin had also toughened a little bit.

Finally, his body was in a healthy state and he didn’t have to worry much about backlashes. He realized that the reason the pain was so intense previously when he evolved was because his body wasn’t strong enough to evolve healthily and safely.

He had to learn his limits through trial and error, which wasn’t necessarily a bad thing.

With his new healthy figure, he stood a few inches taller than before, being five feet four inches tall. He was now much taller than those his age.

His muscles had expanded and compacted a couple times, and he was left with a lithe but strong body that had lots of room for flexibility and movement. His bones, through the weight training with the Heavenly Weight Sand, had also strengthened considerably and could now hold four times the weight they originally could.

Also, through these past two weeks, his senses had gone back to normal, and he was no longer being overstimulated at every moment.

He was also able to move without using all the strength in his body now, though it would still take much more getting used to so that he could move with complete precision.

Finally, after getting to this healthy state and being at a higher stage than before, he decided that he could finally try the evolution ability once again.

As such, he went outside and collected all kinds of bugs, shoving them in a bag. He also collected a few small animals, such as mice, rabbits, snakes, and other things, killing them and putting them in a separate bag.

Then, taking them back into his room, he put all the bugs on a plate, once again filling the plate with his blood and allowing it to soak into their bodies.

He then put the animals in the bathtub and poured his blood over them. Although the blood couldn’t soak into the entirety of their bodies like this since he didn’t have an infinite amount of blood, it didn’t matter since it just needed to soak into their bodies a little bit to have the same effect.

After this was done, he waited for a few minutes before collecting the blood from the bugs first, and he instantly fell to the ground as he did so, reeling in pain. He had adjusted to his senses, but it was still a horrible pain. It wasn’t as bad as before, but it was still terrible.

A few minutes later, the pain finally subsided as he collapsed to the floor, covered in cold sweat and trembling. He thought it would be much less painful now that he was healthy, but it was only marginally less painful.

He was so exhausted that he had to wait for a whole hour before collecting the blood out of the animals, and the first one he collected it from was a small snake that was about two feet long and covered in deep purple scales.

The evolution change this time took ten minutes, which was surprising.

The final animal was a dark gray bunny with bright green eyes, and it was extremely unique among bunnies, being a rare species.

He was totally surprised that he managed to catch this bunny, because these bunnies actually had immense potential, and they could grow and even become spirit beasts!

This was by far the biggest improvement he would have during an evolution for a while.

After collecting the blood from the bunny, he once again fell down in pain, already being in the bathtub once again.

The pain this time was much more intense than any other time so far, and he nearly passed out.

However, he managed to force himself to maintain consciousness and endure through the evolution process.

It was incredibly painful, as if every cell of his body was being ripped apart and stitched back together, and this was actually what was happening at this time.

Whether it was his skin, his bones, his organs, or anything else, they were all being strengthened at this moment, all in different ways.

If he hadn’t undergone the previous evolutions, he probably would’ve been in danger based on how intense this evolution was.

At every moment, a sticky tar-like substance was excreted from his skin, and his body made weird popping and cracking sounds.

His bones felt like they were shattering, and a few times, they actually did break from the pressure. Cracks spread on his skin and started healing at the same time, blood pouring out around his body and into the tub.

Like this, an hour passed, filled with agonizing pain. However, at the end of it, Gray’s mind felt oddly clear.

His broken limbs started to recover, and they were soon able to slightly support weight, allowing him to move around.

Because they were broken from internal pressure and not external, they remained in position and didn’t bend at all, allowing them to heal straight just by him sitting there. And after they had broken, they had already started to heal before the evolution was even done.

In fact, if he hadn’t been healing while the evolution was taking place, he would have long ago passed out from the damage done.

An hour later, he gained the strength to stand up, and he realized that his body felt oddly… light.

It wasn’t just that his muscles were stronger, but he physically felt like he weighed a little bit less. Perhaps his body was stronger while being lighter because it was a bunny?
