Minyook was quite blown away by Jinxi's unpredictability. He knew that the blonde had hated him, but his sudden friendliness seemed to be natural and genuine. He kept looking at the disappearing bus when he heard a message ping on his phone.
Kvn: I'm at the library. Wait right there, I'll pick you up.
okay!
Minyook didn't think twice before replying.
He leaned back and waited for Kevin to come to pick him up. The rain came down harder, and the wind picked up speed, he could barely see what was in front of him. He crossed his arms, wondering how Kevin would drive in this weather.
Minyook heard splashes on the ground and turned to find a soaking wet Kevin make his way to the bus stop.
"You. Why are you not in your car?" Minyook said, pointing at Kevin with an incredulous look on his face.
"When did I say I have a car?" Kevin rushed into the bus top and raked his fingers through his hair, sprinkling water droplets on Minyook.

"Then what exactly did you mean when you texted me saying you would pick me up?" Minyook flinched at his own words and worriedly stood up to help Kevin dry excess water from his head.
The boy had dressed in layers, but water trickled out of them in tiny streams. He looked up to find his pale lips trembling when the wind scurried past them. Contrary to his countenance at the moment, Kevin flashed a bright smile as he let Minyook fuss over his hair.
"The buses won't operate in your area anymore according to the broadcast," Kevin felt deep into his pocket and took out his phone to show the headlines. There was even a ban on operating individual vehicles.
Minyook bit his lips in contemplation. The way to his house was already very isolated, with only one or two buses operating on a perfectly normal day. This meant there won't even be any rogue vehicles for him to ask lift from. He felt increasingly disappointed and plopped back on the narrow cold seat.
"What are we gonna do?" Minyook whined as he put on the rain cover over his backpack.
Kevin, who was standing idle, looking at Minyook's rapidly changing mood said with barely concealed excitement in his voice, "We're going to walk, maybe even run."
"It's pouring Kevin," Minyook said, flaying his hands to point at the most obvious vision of a rainstorm ahead of them, that Kevin had conveniently missed.
"Exactly!" Kevin said with a smug expression and ran out of the bus stop.
Minyook saw the disappearing figure and rushed to hold him back, but the minute he stepped out of the bus-stop, harsh wind and cold rain assaulted him on all sides. This mind-numbing feeling sent a shiver down his spine.
He felt himself adjusting to the temperature and looked up to find the boy. The deafening roar in his ears pumped up his adrenaline and pushed him forward.
Kevin was waiting a few meters away, looking back at him, his face blooming fully under his laughter. The blue-grey background perfectly complimented his bright blue jacket.
He saw Kevin reaching out a hand towards him. Minyook thought he would be an idiot if he didn't follow, so he ran to Kevin. He had a weird premonition that he had been doing that for a long time and would continue to do that even longer.
Under the storm where everyone searched for safe covers, two people found themselves having the best time of their life. It was much later than usual when Minyook reached home with the brightest smile and glowing face.
