January 30

4:20 pm

Jinxi still had a blank canvas. He didn't feel as explosive, but he was still out of ideas and inspiration. Haemin had forcefully barged in with his take out dinner, claiming that he had a duty as his boyfriend to feed and take care of him. Jinxi was more than happy when he heard Haemin emphasize the word boyfriend with content and playful expression.

"You still have two weeks until Finals," Haemin said as Jinxi set the blank canvas on the easel. The topic was Beauty, so he had tried painting everything from nature, animals, family to broken vases, but nothing satisfied him.

"It's so confusing," Jinxi saw Haemin finish reheating their dinner and he made his way to the little study table that also served as a dinner table.

He took out the plastic chopsticks from the hotel bag and set it beside Haemin's bowl, "What in the hell is beauty anyway?"

You might be reading a stolen copy. Visit Royal Road for the authentic version.

"That is a heavy topic," Haemin said scoffing, scooping out the curry, "It varies for each and everyone."

"Maybe we should personalize it," Jinxi considered while he quickly got his chopsticks out and dug into his egg fried rice.

"What is the most beautiful thing to you, Minnie?"

"You, hyung."

"No- Brat..." Jinxi laughed at the reply.

He smacked Haemin's arm before reaching for the side-dish, but he stopped midway.

Finally, he realized something.

Of course, Haemin was the most beautiful thing for him. There was no doubt that the boy looked gorgeous, but Haemin was much more than that. He gave up everything he dreamed of, yet he always did nothing but beam 25/8.

The boy- this boy, was amidst a tangled web, yet he held a peaceful and vibrant personality. He wore a crown of thorns with tranquillity unlike he had ever seen, while Jinxi had hidden his sentiment behind his ruthlessness, Haemin embrased it with full vigor and illuminated it with most beautiful warmth.

"Haemin, you are exactly what I needed," Jinxi said, his face brightening as he saw Haemin stuff his mouth with meat, strangely resembling a squirrel.

"As your boyfriend, I am more than happy to help," Haemin retorted while wearing a smug expression.

"Then, as your boyfriend, let me ask you this," Jinxi said, his smirk growing devilish, "Stay the night."

Jinxi burst into laughter while Haemin choked on his food.
