3:10 pm

Minyook was in the restroom of the culinary department. The neon light reflected a blue hue to his face as he stared into the mirror. Minyook had had a pretty bad morning, feeling frustrated at anything and everything. The light furrow between his brows deepened as he thought of the particular message that changed the course of his spiralling mood.

Minyook opened the faucet and splashed water on his face.

The cold water droplets that dripped down the side of his face seemed to calm him down a bit.

Minyook hadn't thought twice before he had rushed to Kevin when he got the text, and he knew it wasn't only because he wanted an escape from Jye Hee.

~

Kevin was sitting at their usual hangout spot. He had skipped the class again today. He had no drive to learn what he already knew, so he did the only thing that got him giddy, texting Minyook.

Kevin fiddled with the supermarket bag. Looking inside, he saw strawberry ice cream and chocolate milk.

With a smile growing on his face, he crossed his legs on the bench and leaned back, heaving a contented sigh. Both of them were his favourites. This meant Minyook hadn't bought anything for himself. He let out a chuckle knowing that Minyook's trip to the restroom was only an excuse for him to let Kevin choose first.

'Gosh, I'm in trouble. Will this affect my health to be so whipped for him?' Kevin thought, opening the chocolate milk carton.

7:00 pm

Minyook had asked Junseong to wake him up before 7 pm. Recently, he experienced severe migraines. The stress was finally starting to take a toll on him. He felt confused, sad, irritated, and lost all the time. Apart from the overflowing homework and deadlines, most of it was because of one guy with big twinkling eyes.

He didn't know when the boy had come to occupy such a precious spot in his life. He didn't know if this boy had the same thoughts.

Minyook hadn't fully grasped it until Junseong had jokingly teased them once, asking if they were together. Since then, Minyook couldn't shake that thought nor the image off his head.

Kevin had always been there for him. When playing around, when having serious conversations, when he screwed things up, and when he needed help to find his footing.

He was such a constant presence in his life that he almost went unnoticed.

It was maddening to realize the power he let Kevin hold over himself.

He almost dozed off on a rather uncomfortable library table when he was pulled out of his dreamland again. He frowned when he still felt his head throbbing, but he could sense something else too. There were soft touches and lingering fingers, playing with his hair in a familiarly soothing way. He unconsciously let out a sigh and leaned further into the touch. He could recognize this touch anywhere.

Minyook cracked open his eyelid to see Kevin immersed in a book about various art techniques. The slight frown deepened as his rimmed blue-light glasses kept slipping down. His blue sweater, a stark contrast against the setting sun, made him look ethereal. Minyook's gaze remained fixed at the boy's concentrated face. He felt warm and content even in the chilly weather.

It was getting late, Minyook belatedly realized, but he didn't mind.

_________________________________________________________

Minyook did tell Junseong to wake him up, But why was Kevin here? Maybe Junseong had switched places with Kevin? or maybe, Kevin had begged Junseong to let him stay and wake Minyook up.

What to do? Kevin clearly doesn't want Yook to wake up, and Yookie also doesn't want to move.. he will certainly be late and run into a certain someone :(
