Kyrion looked at the emergency vials of water mana he’d managed to produce and sighed. Following the potion recipe and adding yeast, sugar, and water, he created along with the blue mana vials he’d made.
He’d received the recipe from a man who worked at an Italian vineyard. The ratios are carefully chosen.
The Italian Janitor wore a red uniform, relatively short and stocky, while his brother wore green.
“And you say I just need to let it ferment for a long time?”
“The longer the better. Your Tea (wine) will turn out much better.”
“I see.” Kyrion nodded. Who would have thought he’d figure out Italian so quickly. Though he’d never heard of Tea requiring an alchemical base and fruit. It kind of reminded him of alchemy, albeit much more straightforward.
Instinctively, Kyrion heated the liquid inside for a few minutes. Before they boped Kyrion on the head softly but sternly.
“You should put it in a cask, not a potion bottle. For mass production. Tea ages better in high quality wooden casks. There are also newer steel casks that provide a different taste.”
“I see.” Kyrion proceeded to have Karl turn the coconut trees he’d collected into casks and enchant them, followed by copying the wooden casks he’d previously enchanted to hold fruit indefinitely only; instead of a stasis enchantment, these had a durability enchantment.
As different Tea (Wine) barrels appeared, Kyrion began the brewing process on a larger scale, using his new fruits as experimental supplements. By the time he was done, there were over 31 varieties of Tea to be tested. Six were distilled once, 13 twice, 10 three times, 1 four times, and 1 more a fifth time, and 4 different casks were placed to age them in. He had 124 flavors of Tea (wine) to test out.
“Now, then, if what you said is true, these barrels should age within that dungeon. Although it didn’t have air suitable for humans inside. Years pass in minutes or so I’ve been told. With my speed I’ll load them up. Then when we’re done everyone gets Tea!”
The French branch cheered that they had tried to teach him Italian, but for reasons unrelated to them, Kyrion managed to figure it out much faster. Something about pasta is a multiversal constant.
“He sure learns languages fast.” Jis stated as he watched the chaos.
“No…there are fundamental gaps. How one hears wine and gets Tea is beyond my understanding.” Kilo added.
“How do you know?”
“Context, he doesn’t drink booze, if you ask him correctly, but we both know he smelled like he’d downed quite a few drinks like they were juice. When I asked him what he drank he said it reminded him of Tea, only not as strong.”
“So, he mixed up the word back home and it stuck with him. So, he thinks he’s distilling a fruity tea, but he’s making wine. Should we stop him?”
“This is an experiment. If it works, then we will need to find a way to harness this rift.”
“You’re just going to let him get wasted? What kind of cousin are you?”
“The kind that wants to see him acting like an idiot.” Kilo laughed a bit. Truth be told, it was really to see if it worked. Tests and experiments could be expedited if done correctly. Something that could be a boon to our world. “Also we could sell it for a profit to buy parts.”
“I felt like you skipped over something.”
“Yeah yeah Park.”
“Don’t call me by my family name. It’s weird.”
“Would you rather I call you Agent Jin-Hwan?”
“Only if you let me call you Mr.Julian.”
“I prefer Kilo.”
“And I prefer Jin.”
At that time, Kyrion loaded all the booze up, placed watches with batteries that lasted years and waited.
Waiting five minutes resulted in a measured period of twenty-five years passing. Waiting twenty resulted in a century as the clocks were replaced.
The wine was tasted briefly, though some proved too strong for human consumption. Kyrion kept the three or higher distillations and donated the rest, as most of them seemed to enhance their magic and abilities despite making some people drunk.
“These guys can’t hold their tea.” Kyrion drank the azure liquid from a teacup like a noble.

“Are you buzzed?” Kilo asked
“No, but it tastes pretty good. Though it’s more juice than Tea.” Kyrion’s face had a slight flush. The batch he’d just consumed sat at 90 proof and went down disturbingly smooth.
“So, how do you like this world?”
“Funz and unaresting..Interesting…Close enough. I miss Lin, who could be here.” Kyrion sighed as the flush faded, and his regeneration kicked the fog out of his system.
“Only forty five?”
“You’re noisy. Huh my mana increased… Well that’s broken.”
“It’s like I drank aged mana. Quite curious.” Kyrion added.
“Hmm…Jin, go try the dangerous Tea.” Kilo pushed Jin slightly forward.
“What? But my powers require my brain to work.” Jin sighed.
“And I don’t have my body here.” Kilo added.
Kyrion moved to the fruit he’d sprinkled powdered walnuts into with fire. Took out a teacup and extracted the liquid. From there, he’d given the teacup to Jin.
“This is peer pressure, so you know.” Jin looked at Kyrion as the mana rushed through his body and head, causing him to heat up. Before his brain went through a hard reset, he passed out, much like the others.
“Oh. So that’s what happened. You humans can’t hold our Tea at all.” Kyrion sighed as he saw Ander approaching with some irritation on his face.
“Friendly fire?”
“Tea party. Duh. Now then, could you show me how to give Jin, that qi stuff?”
“Is he an Esper?”
“Correct. Also, drinking the Tea can cause the power inside to awaken mind and body are both enhanced. Teach me how to start it up.”
Ander focused a ball of life energy into his hands, which greatly resembled his healing ability. He scowled as Kyrioin immediately started moving. Only his hands resembled those of a surgeon with knowledge of how it affected the human body. Within moments, Kyrion had incorporated every organ, bone, and muscle fiber into the system and sighed as he performed over two hundred cuts.
Jinichiro had already written down and recorded the process.
“Just had to show me up ey?”
“Well you are a great teacher, while i’m a great healer. To be fair, you left room for more powers to grow while I didn’t. Chiyo should be able to take up spirit mastery while Jin is limited to this world’s magic. It’s also quite easy to do this much.”
Kyrion then moved and repeated the process on every unconscious solder here. These people taught him how to make earth tea. It was the least he could do.
Everyone who woke up the next day had a hangover and a gap in memory as the mystery booze was taken back to the U.S., where Kyrion was currently one of their assets. The two brothers who taught Kyrion everything he knew, however, wandered into a rift that closed, sending the two drunk brothers to another world.
A legion of agents from the NEU would one day form a task force known as the Hungover Legion, and they would serve as one of the pinnacles of the world’s salvation. As well as one of Kyrion’s staunchest allies in the times to come.
Kyrion, the Dionysus of the West, became popular in bars. However, the rendition did get crude as the story progressed. The dragon’s demise by Gais’ hand was mistranslated and evolved into a fist.
That is a tale for a different day. The island was no longer fun when the sun rose and the second wave came.
Kyrion slept for twelve hours straight before waking to a large boom on the land below. After being cleared, most of the remaining portals combined and fused into a set of three, as four creatures standing over a hundred feet tall made their appearance. Each one had its own unique flavor of death and destruction.
One was a pulsating pink ball of what resembled flesh covered in veins. Purple mist spilled out from its body when it moved, was hit by an attack, or was purposefully released in waves. The fog proved to be a potent paralytic poison that caused a human to lose the ability to move or think as they were picked up and eaten.
The second one was the figure of a giant woman in robes. Many who saw her form turned into monsters and began to attack their allies. She didn’t attack, but her stony gaze caused those who looked into her eyes to turn on their friends. Many of her features were blank, as though they were an illusion.
The third was a man in a black cloak who wielded a scythe. Where he cut, purple must follow, and after a while, the flames would soon consume their targets until naught, but ash remained. This giant had no flesh, bones, or organs and thus was a type of undead.
Finally, the fourth giant was an amalgam of mosquitos and locusts, which formed a grotesque, nearly solid body. Those stung by these creatures were wracked with countless diseases and faced slow and near-inevitable demise.
In less than five minutes, over a hundred well-trained agents had died on the outskirts where the monsters made landfall.
Kyrion felt rage build up inside him, some towards the monsters for causing all this death and destruction, but mostly himself for failing to be alert when such tragedy struck.”
The esper known as Jac arrived at Kyrion’s side. It was Gamma, given the Phoblade and knives at his hip. He was dressed in combat armor that would not do much against the monsters present, but it was better than nothing.
Jin joined the fray with a clarity he hadn’t had before as his mind and body were synced. The equipment he gained from Karl was worn on top of his regular clothes.
Kilo sighed as he joined the fray. His arms folded inwards, revealing sharp blade-like protrusions, and his feet changed form to better kick off the ground, resembling that of an ostrich. In seconds, he looked more monstrous than human.
Ander floated above with a concerned expression. The monsters around the early expert tier concerning power made the fight challenging, and some coordination would be needed.
“Ander, you will take care of the pink flesh blob on your own. I give you permission to use that power if it helps you kill it from a distance.” Ander nodded and immediately flew off.
“Kilo, you and Jin should go assist with the swarm. Use your Phoblade to burn them away.if they get close, You’re goal will be to save as many lives as you can. Unless your hiding weapons of mass percussion.”
“You mean destruction?”
“No, percussion. These in particular are weak to sound and heat. Their swam can be dispersed with loud percussive sound.”
“What will you do?”
“First the skeleton, then the charmer, If the bugs are still present Ander and I should be able to help.”
“And me?” Jac asked.
Kyrion pulled out a vial containing a mix of walnut and regeneration pomegranate tea and passed it to him.” If you feel something is wrong with your mind, drink this. It should fix you right on up.”
“Is this alcohol?”
“No, it’s wine(Tea). Perfectly safe for your brain.” To be fair, it was extremely healthy, but it would break parts of the brain down and heal it better than it was before, as well as end any charm spells on him.
“Ill use it when I need it then.”
Kyrion nodded before winding up for a kick and vanishing from his spot.
