The AI created with my stats was not prepared for the level of brutality I was willing to bring to the table.
I charged him and activated power attack. My wooden sword shimmered for a moment before my attack found its mark. The man had tried to block with his arms, which caused him to scream out in pain as he felt the blow deep in the bones. I had much practice with this routine, with poor Olaf as a test dummy.
He tried to punch me, but it was child's play to stay out of his range and counterattack. As he extended his arm for the punch I used the opening to smash him in the chest. He recoiled and screamed in pain. My attack had put me close to him, so I activated rapid strikes. My weapon shimmered for a second as the skill activated and three attacks aimed for the unprotected throat slammed into him one after the other.
The man fell to the floor clutching his throat as pain overtook him. He was barely conscious and gasping for breath. I attacked him in the head a few more times, with a hollow "Thump, Thump" before he blacked out.
The man was now unconscious like Olaf had been the first time. I tried to loot him and to my enjoyment, it let me! It was a shame to use my trump card here in front of all these people. Surely the game will fix the bug after they see this. This isn't even a real person, it was a unique AI created just for this event. I shouldn't be able to loot it, and yet I can!

A tiny digital screen showed the items I could loot. I tapped the screen and equipped them to myself. The armor glowed around the man and disappeared and appeared upon me.
Then I un-equipped my wooden sword and put back on my bronze shortsword.
"You're lucky I feel bad for those guys in line behind me. ", I said as I chopped down hard with the sword.
Blood spurted, as the system message alerted me that I had slain my opponent.
Ding! You have dealt 50 damage 0/80
Ding! You have slain your opponent.
Ding! This is a trial so no experience is awarded.
Ding! Congratulations you have defeated round one, prepare for round 2!
The metal door immediately began to open and the body of the man below me digitized and disappeared like a wisp of wind, dissolving into nothingness.
The next part of the trial began as a man walked out of the dark of the tunnel. He was massive, at 7 ft tall and wearing full plate mail. He was using a flail, along with a 5ft tower shield. The man moved slowly but would be able to take a lot of punishment. Suddenly his weapon shimmered and he shot across the arena at an incredible speed.
