I lay back in my bed, with my VR headset on. I felt a tug upon my consciousness as the game loaded.
Instead of materializing where I had logged out I felt a second pull upon my consciousness. I felt as though I was being pulled away.
I opened my eyes in a strange environment. I was in some high tech lounge or fancy apartment. Soft, comfortable looking sofas and lounge chairs adorned the lushly carpeted room. Rich fabrics and tapestries hung upon the wall in a colorful array of Dark red, green, purple and pink.
Is this B.L.A.N.K? Seems more like a virtual private space.
In front of me stood five people, each of them wore a large insignia upon their left shoulder that held a red cloak. They were adorned in full body armor of legendary quality. Each insignia corresponded with the Logo of one of the Five major gaming companies. So each of them had to represent one of them.
I had heard that the Five, though co-creators of B.L.A.N.K. we're allowed to create guilds and participate in the game as competitors due to the absolute fairness of the perfect algorithm.
I quickly looked them over, trying to get as much information as could from their appearance.
There was a large man with a golden beard, gold armor, and a gold shield wore the insignia of Bisque gaming. He glowed with a gold aura. His face betrayed no emotion. I recognized him as a professional player - Lord Justice. Last year he was regarded as the number one Paladin in the professional league.

There was a beautiful woman who wore a form-fitting purple set of armor with an unnecessary amount of cleavage showing. She glowed with a purple aura and held a crystal ball in her hand, that crackled with purple lightning. She wore the insignia of Legendary gaming.
I also recognized her as a professional player Raxila, a renowned caster who is known for her cruel nature.
There was a tall and slender man, wearing a blue mage's robe etched in runes. He carried a wizard staff with a massive blue gemstone at the top and wore the insignia of Anarchy gaming.
I recognized him from the professional circuit as Azreal, one of the strongest mages of the century.
Next to Azreal stood a mountain in blood red dragon scale armor. Spikes jutted from his shoulders and gauntlets.
It would be impossible to not know this was Heigden the dragon slayer, you would have to live under a rock! He has had one of the longest professional careers in history, at over 30 years in the pro league. He wore the insignia of Nine Suns Gaming.
In the corner of my eyesight stood a tall lithe man who wore black leather armor. He appeared to be an assassin, but I didn' recognize him. He wore the insignia of Kratom Gaming.
Where was I? What was going on?
I looked down at myself and realized I was in the form of my game avatar. I looked like an 8-year-old.
The five gave me a moment to silently take in my surroundings.
The one I knew as Lord Justice spoke up, "So, you're the demon child. Let's make this quick, tell us where the prince is. ".
