The gnoll interceptor was confused but saw me as a threat and immediately attacked with a quick jab aimed at my chest.
Miss!
I casually stepped to the side and out of habit counter-attacked with the wooden sword.
Hit!
No damage numbers popped up but she did yelp a little when I hit her in the arm.
Now that the Avatar Naxila was out of the pilot seat, the AI returned to a basic set of attacks very similar to the gnoll grunts and warriors.
I was able to toy with this elite. Every time she attacked I would make the corresponding dodge and hit her open spot, making her cry out in pain. Following her programming, the gnoll continued to attack with one of four basic attacks. She seemed to no longer have access to sub-skills without Naxilas interference, making her no challenge at all.
I realized that I could switch weapons and kill her in five strikes, but I kept eying her magic sword.
Loot! If I killed her normally then I would only have a chance for the sword to drop. Based upon past experience knocking people unconscious allowed me to loot everything they had on them.
I told myself I would get that sword, no matter how long it took.

I used rapid strikes and power attack every time they came off cooldown, but the gnoll interceptor had a very high tolerance for pain.
After 10 strikes she was unfazed.
After 20 strikes she was still unfazed, though she began to get irritated.
She had still not managed to land a blow upon me, which seemed to make her more irritated.
After 30 strikes she began to become dizzy.
I was amazed that she didnt flee. She wasn't taking any damage so her programming forced her to attack.
After 40 strikes her attacks began to lose there fervor, becoming slow and lethargic.
After 50 strikes she was still standing but was basically just a punching bag for me.
After 65 strikes I finally received a notification.
Ding!
You have knocked Gnoll Interceptor unconscious.
The gnoll was out like a light.
I looted her and thankfully it let me.

Freaking sweet! So much XP!
I heard the barking of the gnolls hundreds of feet away. It would seem they had finally noticed that the female they were fighting over was now missing.
Gazing at my bad ass sword, I smiled and thought of all the experience I was about to get.
