The next two days were boring compared to the excitement of the first day. I longed to go out into the fresh air and explore the world of blank, but I knew what must be done.
The biggest real change was that I began practicing with the punch shield. This was to increase my strength since it had reached its max using the wooden sword. The shield was fun and although significantly behind my sword skill I eventually got it to level 5. This unlocked the sub-skill, block.
.Block- level- 1/5 - can mitigate between 20%-60% damage if used properly. Cooldown 15 seconds.
Olaf was truly astounding. He had now become a full-blown warrior. He had listened to every one of my words and improved so much he was like a whole different person.
Silently I thanked Dave for his role in making me a good teacher. Who is Dave you ask? He was my original instructor. I had downloaded an app for the Virtual Private Space called Sword and board for dummies when around 10 years old. It had come with an AI named Dave who taught me the basics of combat. I had moved on to much more complicated combat simulators, but I never forgot Dave who had first instilled the love of combat in me.
Less than an hour ago I had received the long-awaited system alerts.
Ding! Your Sword skill has reached level 10!
Ding! Unlocked sub-skill- power attack rank 1- level 1/5- deals 150% damage + (strength modifier*2) - deals increased durability damage.
Ding! You have met the pre-requisite conditions to perform your first class change. Please go to the nearest city and find the corresponding class trainer.

Yes! Power attack! Class quest! Freaking right! Finally, I can leave this dungeon and go into the sunlight.
About an hour after returning to the secret cellar I received a message from Lord Justice, this is what it said.
Thorn,
As per our agreement, you have two days. I have convinced them that the prince is in training, and as part of the quest must travel on foot to the nearest town to you, the level 10 city Excelsia. They have pulled their forces from the starting village and have stationed them between Excelsia and you. No doubt trying to sabotage one another. Enclosed is five gold. You will bypass their forces by taking the portal directly to Excelsia. The gold will cover the fee. Do not betray me, or I will make sure it is the last thing you ever do.
Lord Justice.
I had explained the situation to Olaf in great detail while we trained and he had offered up valuable insight. He explained that the fee for the portal is five gold, so they were trying to force me to send just the prince through. They were most likely trying to see if I had some sort of backing, as a level 0 character should not have access to such funds. This meant that they will believe I have some unknown group backing me up financially. I will use this to my advantage if necessary.
For the past hour, I had been finishing up the last minute details and preparations. The most difficult was turning in my original pre-requisite quest to the mayor without being seen. It turns out that due to the added special effects in the video of me as " Demon Child", my face was obscured. With minimal effort, I put together a disguise for myself and Olaf.
He was dressed as an old man, and I was dressed in the typical garb of the local children. He was to be my grandfather, on a trip to visit our rich family in the city. To be thorough, I had created a full backstory and walked Olaf through every possible scenario.
Thirty minutes later, we stood before the portal. The disguises worked perfectly. Olaf paid the mage in charge of the portal 5 gold for each of us, leaving me with 4 gold left after all the training expenses. The mage fired up the portal and we stepped through.
A moment later we had arrived in Excelsia.
