Chapter 28 Alden's plan

Tamed: Diadem of reversal

Rank: Stulified

Grade: III

Tamed summary: When the seventh son of prominence was born, he came down with an unforgiving plague. Prominence who learned of this traveled to the southern most city in the realms of gods, and there he found the great physician Artemis. After relaying the terrible news to her, Prominence offered a hefty sum of three thousand quarts of his blood, as well as an unconditional favor. He made a vow to supply her with these things as long as she could save his son. After witnessing Prominences firm attitude, Artemis began to cry. Her heart was greatly moved. And so she voyaged to the residence of prominence. Artemis who was renowned for her medical prowess however, was completely stumped.

She tried all her methods and investigated with all her might, but all her effortss were in vane.

I have never seen or heard of any ailments like this one. As she gave Prominence the bad news, she watched as his face became pale. However said Artemis although I was unable to save him with my abilities there is still an option for his survival. Go Prominence travel to the Mecqua, and there look for a mermaid called Wikal. Hearing this Prominence set out immediately. And soon he found Wikal, as Wikal learned of Prominence's misfortune he laughed. Oh Prominence this is just to unfortunate, you the great monarch of fame, is experiencing such a contradiction, it brings joys to my heart. However although I possesse a great spirit of epicaricacy, I am not evil. I will offer you my help as you have never wrong me in the pass. However my services aren't free. And so Prominence made the same deal with Wikal as he did with Artemis. After returning to Prominence residence Wikal began his operations. And soon he relayed the bad news to Prominence. The plague your son has befallen to is one created by non other than the demon of plague. It is absolutely fatal and your son will die in a months time. I am afraid I cannot do anything to help him overcome it. However there is a last resort method that I possess, it cannot heal but it can revive. Of course there could be flaws, but it's better than not having your son. Hearing this Prominence cried his heart out, and ousted Wikal, refusing to pay him. Within the following month he travelled through out the realms of gods searching for someone to heal his son. After contacting the demon of plague, Prominence asked, oh great demon of plague and pestilence? Why did you target my son? Do you have a grudge against me? If so why did you not face me your self? Why would you target my children? After ragingly questioning the Demon of plague, he replied. Oh Prominence, have you not considered why demons and gods exist? That is the ultimate question, I have contemplated it for many long years, but I haven't found a suitable answer. The best I could come up with was for balance. The universe is a work of absolute equilibrium, nothing exist without it's counter, and so it was inevitable that you the great Prominence, who was born a Monarch would have to experience anonymity at least once in your life. I just so happened to be the catalyst for your despair. As the demon of plague finished his monologue he left these words behind. Remember Prominence everything in the universe is Obsolete and harmonious. There can never be prominence without obscurity, or power without impotence. And so Prominence was left helpless. In the end his seventh son died and using the method and help of Wikal he successful revived him. After this incident Prominence vowed to break the cycle of balance that the demon of plague spoke about.

Little did he know that the crown Wikal used to revive his son was created by a god of many mysteries know by a few as , and that his very son would be the one to oppose him in the future.

As Kreed browsed through the information, he scoffed. Why was the demon of plague being mentioned again? Was he really such a huge threat. Firstly he affected Dallas and made him into a broken cursed being, and now he attacked Prominence, ultimately killing his son.

Just what kind of being was he? From what Kreed had learned, the demon of plague seemed to be a strong irregularity within the heavens, his menacing actions affected a large faction within the underworld and the heavenly realms. Going unchecked for millions of years, while continuing to wreck, and curse Individuals who ascended to godhood.

And yet for some reason Kreed's mind had an awful premonition. That some time in the future he would become a part of this very demon's scheme.

After hesitating for a bit Kreed directly asked Alden.

Is this your so called method? Of help? Having me die, before being revived? Wasn't I useful to you because I have relics that you want?

As Alden smiled. You see after getting this relic, I managed do discover a little loop hole. And after attempting to use it my confidence grew even greater. You see am not sure if you've heard about the different lanes awakened can enter.

But to summarize it when someone is birthed they gain a simple power. Based on that power and the abilities they receive alongside it, that determines what lane that awakened would take. For example in my case I received a power pertaining to the soil around us and I advanced in rank that power kept growing alongside the new ones I gained. Also becoming like if I had a natural affinity for dirt and soil manipulation methods. Until ultimately I gained the ability to control stones and rocks. Just like that every relic falls into a specific category, or lane. Some may be soil lane, others ice and even blood lane.

And the relic you just saw was one of the very few time lane relics. Being capable of reversing time to a specific degree.

You see the loop hole I found is rather convenient, using a couple of other relics I have in my collection as supplementary items I can form a fatal technique. That allows me to revive you alongside the former relics you possessed, however there is always a drawback.

Firstly I wouldn't be able to use the Diadem of reversal for an extensive amount of time. And there is also a high chance of failure if the relics you possess are of a higher rank.

Hearing this Kreed chuckled, so in the end you would have gained nothing but me, a scrawny, frail, boy with nothing to his name.

Ohhh and why is that? Alden questioned.

Suddenly Kreeds brows furrowed. Don't play dumb with me. I may not be able to communicate effectively due to my lack of experience, and seclusion but I can tell when your trying to fool me. You explained your reason for not acting to save me, and you even described in detail your reaction to the relic I used, but not once did you mention or suggest it's supposed rank. Instead you influenced the conversation in such a way that I'd have to reveal that myself. That was rather great actually, if I had not been on gaurd after that battle I may have been influenced subtly.

Hearing this the already annoying smile on Alden's face grew slightly. Ohhh so you've been on guard against me this whole time? That's amazing, it seems you have exceeded my expectations. Tell me k what power do you possess, if I had to make a guess I'd say it probably has something to do with erudition lane. Similar

to how my power pertains to soil lane.
