Tank

All the other goblins were dead. The only one that was left was walking down the stairs. With muscles that rivaled that of strongmen it's mobility was questionable. I stood stunned. Track shoving me lightly to get me out of my stumper.

He didn't say anything and I didn't blame him. There wasn't any real way we could take it down. Our weapons were worn to an extent. Besides that they weren't all that strong. It's muscles would make inflicting any serious damage hard.

The meet sight of it was demoralizing. I gripped my knife and "Shield". I backed up as it neared. I saw that Track had made everyone back up.

" I'll try to distract it so you guys can stab it. I don't think it's possible to kill it quickly or easily. But we can try. "

Track looked at me and added on to what I said.

" We wound it so it bleeds out. That's all there is to it. My bat will probably break. "

The goblin made it to the bottom of the stairs and ripped the duct tape down easily. It examined us and no one moved. I moved forward despite my fear. It's eyes locked into me. I slowly walked up to it.

I fully expected it to make the first move yet it didn't. Even as I got closer. Eventually I decided to attack. I gripped my knife and stabbed forward. As soon as I did the goblin reached out. It was faster than expected. Faster than the smaller goblins in fact. I didn't have time to pull my arm back.

It gripped it and pulled it's other arm back. I looked at the others silently asking them for help. Track stepped forward and swung his bat at it's face. The goblin let go of me and blocked the bat with it's arm. It then rotated it's body and sent a punch forward.

Track backed up but the bat was in the goblins grip so he quickly let go. He nearly dodged the attack. The goblin grunted in pain as it turned to Sarah. She had stabbed it in the back. I quickly went to stab it's side and succeeded. I tried to pull it out only to realize it was stuck. The stared at me as it went to grab me but I quickly backed off.

The goblin was annoyed and stepped towards me. Doctor Terkel stabbed it in the back but it quickly turned and Doctor Terkel was sent to the ground. The goblin grabbed the pole arm and broke it. It ripped the other end out of it's back and pulled it's arm back.

It threw it at me but just before it was released from its hand I felt someone tackle me to the ground. I instinctively covered my head. As I made contact with the ground I felt a surge of pain.

I heard a loud sound like a miniature explosion. The goblin turned it's attention to track. I quickly got up and realized we couldn't kill it. Perhaps if we weren't scared and well coordinated. We all were basically strangers though. I whispered to Bruce.

" Take your daughter and run with the doctor. I'll tell track to run and then I'll go. "

He looked at me weirdly. He seemed to want to say something but decided against it. I didn't want to goblin to pay much attention to them so I picked up some stones. The goblin had blocked Tracks in a corner. I threw the stones at it as hard and fast as I could.

At such a short distance it was hard to miss. The goblin looked in my direction briefly and Track quickly attempted to escape. The goblin quickly turned and swung at him. Track screamed in pain as the first connected with his backside. An audible crack was heard as well. The goblin stepped on his back and put it's full weight on him.

Track screamed in agony but there was little I could do. I had no weapon and even if I did there was little I could get done before it hit me. If it did I wouldn't be able to get out alive. I was no savior. While it wouldn't sit well in my conscious, preserving my life was most important.

" I'm sorry"

I whispered as I quickly ran to the exit the goblin turned to me but hesitated a bit and decided to kill Track first. Track's screams fell silent after a crack. I didn't look back or pause as I ran up the stairs.
