The woman had shoulder length curly black hair and brown skin. Her eyes were hazel and she did a short bow while the doberman by her side did a low growl.

“ Welcome back Mr.Terkel. “

Dr.Terkel quickly walked along the paved path to the steps leading up to the door.

“ Freya, is the medical room ready? “

“ It is. “

“ Good, take Flash to his room and then join me in the medical room since I may need your help. “

As Dr.Terkel turned to us chittering and banging could be heard coming from outside the walls and gate. There wasn’t any real way they could get in unless they stacked onto one another. Even then the barbed wire would do well to delay them. Everyone seemed to tense at the noise though.

“ Jake, follow me and I'll deal with whatever wounds you all have after I treat him. “

Jake didn’t say anything as Freya was already gone alongside the dog. We didn’t have much time to look around the outside or the decoration in the house as we quickly went into the living room. Blood was being left on the ground but no one seemed to care as we went through a double door on the left which led to a wide room,

The room had a faint smell to it although it wasn’t a bad smell. I looked around wearily as my vision began to blur a bit. I wasn’t able to think straight and my body felt weak. Before I knew it everything faded to black.

I don’t know how long I was out but eventually I opened my eyes once more. My vision was slightly blurry and other than a slight feeling of weakness I was fine.

*Groan*

“ Where, am i? “

I tried to sit up but I flinched in pain causing me to slowly lower myself on the warm hospital bed. I looked around and saw a young girl sitting in a chair. She had her black hair tied into a ponytail and had some black sweatpants alongside a long sleeve black shirt on. Her eyes were closed and she seemed to be sleeping.

“Sigh.”

I just stared around the room since I had nothing better to do. There was what seemed to be a heart monitor next to me alongside a clear pack with what seemed to be blood. There were various cabinets with different small jars in them. The lighting in the room was slightly bright however I didn’t mind. I did mind the fact that I had no clothes on with only a comforter covering me. I heard a sound coming from the girl so I turned to her.

She stood up and stretched a bit before staring directly into my eyes. Her eyes were hazel and her pupils dilated as she jumped a little.

“ You're awake. “

“ I am awake. “

“ Ah, sorry. I’m gonna go get Terkel.”

She averted her eyes and quickly ran out the silver door. I waited for a bit and the door opened. Who I saw was Dr.Terkel who was now in casual clothes. He had on some blue sweat pants and a long sleeved white shirt. What caught my attention was the knife strapped to his hip.

“ How are you feeling? “

The girl walked in behind him but I paid her no mind as I looked at him.

“ I feel a little weak but I'm mostly fine. I can’t really move though. “

“ I’d rather you not move too much right now. “

He started messing with the side of the bed and my upper half began ascending. After getting to about a 135 degree angle he stopped it.

“ Well I had to clean your wounds and then stitch them again. You overexerted yourself and you lost a lot of blood. You're lucky your blood type is AB positive. You’ll be fine, however I'm not sure how long we can actually stay here. The goblins are trying to find a way in here. They’ve given up for now though. “

‘ Certainly not good news, especially with my current condition. ‘

“ When can I move? “

“ Well you will be able to move around tomorrow however you will need to be careful since I much rather you not reopen your wounds again. It’d only make things worse and they’ll take longer to heal. “

*Stomach growling sounds

“ You’re hungry. Jessy can you go get some food for Argus? You don’t have any allergies right? “

“ As long as it isn’t peanuts, nuts, or shrimp I should be fine. “

“ Good. “

The girl who is apparently called Jessy went out the room closing the door behind her.

“ That door isn’t made of metal is it? “

“ It is. I mean it’s not very thick but it is quite heavy. “

“ What time is it? “

“ 11:47pm. We got here around 2. Ah right I'll need to familiarize Flash with you. We can do that when you actually get out of this room though. Are you scared of dogs? “

“ Not really, although I would like to know why I'm naked. “

“ It was needed. Your clothes were filthy and getting in the way. I had Maria wipe you down though. “

“ I’ve got patients I need to attend to. Well not anymore but I did. Anyway, press the button on the side of the bed if you need anything. “

He pulled out a table connected to the bed out of nowhere and set it in front of me.

“ T.V and phones don’t work so I'll go get a book or something for you to read. Don’t make sudden movements since your arm is recovering. “

Jessy cae back in with a plate of slightly hot broth in a bowl. There was a spoon and a glass of water as well. They both proceeded to walk out.

“ Don’t worry about anything since we got everything covered. Just focus on getting better soon so you can help. “

The door closed.

“ Could’ve at least gotten me some clothes. Although I doubt I could actually put them on by myself without injuring myself.

I resigned myself to fate as I began slowly eating.
