I finished the meal I was given in a record time of 8 minutes. Terkel had stopped by at some point and given me a book about medieval knights, gladiators, and other things. It was rather interesting so it kept me occupied.
“ Who knew a net could be so effective in combat. Not sure I wanna be walking around with one though since storage might be an issue. “
As I continued reading I suddenly felt a bit dizzy how the feeling quickly went away and something appeared in my vision.

‘ Why do I have no magic? ‘
[ Human bodies aren’t able to contain mana without taking severe damage so most humans don’t have any. If you take on a magic class your body will evolve and be able to contain and use magic. ]
‘ How do I obtain a class? ‘
[ You can obtain a class after reaching level 10. The classes you can choose depends on a variety of different things that I will not disclose. ]
‘ Can you tell me what each stat does then? ‘
[ Strength determines strength of your muscles including the heart. Endurance determines the toughness of your skin, efficiency of your organs, regeneration of health and stamina, bone density, and overall health. Speed determines the speed of which you can move. Mind determines your mental fortitude, how fast you can process things, and the efficiency of your brain while also determining mana regeneration. Magic determines the strength and how much mana you can control. Mana determines the amount of mana you can hold within your body. ]
‘ So can I just put points into magic and mana? ‘
[ You can, however your survival is not guaranteed. Even if you don’t die or become brain dead your body will be in a bad shape and you body will not be able to handle the use of mana anyway. ]

My skin felt itchy and I could feel my body begin to heat up a bit. I closed my eyes and controlled my breathing while focusing on getting through it. Eventually the feeling began to recede and I breathed a sigh of relief.
‘ What’s the base stats for the average human? ‘
[ The average would be unreliable due to the diversity of the human male population. 5 is average for mind and endurance, 7 for speed and strength, 0 for mana and magic. Certain outliers are not included in the calculations. ]
‘ How long will it take for me to recover from my injuries? ‘
[ I will not reveal that information. ]
‘ Well how do I get a class? ‘
[ You can choose a class when you reach level 10. ]
‘ Considering the fact that i’ve probably killed a couple dozen goblins at the point getting to level 10 sounds like it may take a while. ‘
“ Wait, does everyone have a system now? “
[ Everyone living being on this planet has a system. ]
After it’s answer came I heard the door open and Terkel alongside everyone else walked into the room. They all stood around the bed I was currently lying on. Terkel cleared his throat before talking.
“ Argus you see it right? “
“ If you mean the system then yes. “
“ Good before we get into that we should probably introduce everyone. You already met Jessy and you know me so let’s start with Freya. “
‘ She's the woman with curly black hair and dark skin right? ‘
The person who I just described in my mind walked forward.
“ My name is Freya. “
She said nothing other than that before taking a step back into her original position. Terkel let out a small laugh.
“ We don’t really have time for long introductions. Alright then Jake, would you like to go next? “
A guy shorter than Terkel by about an inch but had more muscle spoke up. His football gear and baseball bat was nowhere to be seen although he had a bandage on his cheek.
“ I’m Jake, nice to meet you. “
He let out a light smile before going silent. The guy right next to him spoke next. He had dark skin like Freya and cornrows. He was around the same height as Jake although a little less muscle.
“ My name is Tyron. “
The girl next to him spoke next. She had her hair was to her shoulders and she was around chest height of Tyrone and Jake.
“ My name is Amanada. “
“ Alright, that's everyone. Now let’s get into more serious matters. “
‘ It’s gonna be a pain memorizing everyone’s name. ‘
“ Have you assigned any of your points yet? “
“ A few into endurance since I wanna heal faster. “
“ A few of us placed a couple points in some stats as well. I’m level 4, while they are between level 1-3. I won’t get into specific stats but my highest stat is mind which is 7. We seem to get 2 stat points every level. How much did you put into endurance? “
“ 3, I’m thinking about putting some into every other stat. “
“ Since you already put 3 into endurance it should be the highest amongst us. You should get better sooner than expected. After you get better could you be a part of our frontline? “
I squinted a bit.
“ I can but we only have close range weapons. Guns don’t seem to work anymore. “
“ I’m a weapon collector. I have various types of weapons like swords and bows. I don’t have all that much ammo for some of them though. “
‘ Who is this guy? He seems quite young so how is he able to afford all of this? ‘
“ You’re probably wondering how I have all of this. My father owns a couple hospitals and mingles in other businesses as well. He was on a business trip in Germany before this happened. I’m an only child and he treasures me alongside my mother
who unfortunately died in a car crash a couple years ago. “
