After we all knew each other's names we found things to do with our times. Doctor treated everyone while started organizing the things in the cart along with Sarah. I blocked the door while repeatedly reminding myself of their names. It would be embarrassing to forget the names of my comrades. Goblins came banging on the door numerous times although the barricade kept them out for now.

Track, Bruce, Sarah, me, and the Doctor Terkel started talking about what we'd do next. Track wanted to stay here for a little so they could recover for a bit. Bruce wanted to find a better place for us to stay. Terkel didn't really care he said. I didn't really say what I wanted to do but what I was thinking.

" I haven't heard any guns since this begun. No explosions or cars. Those goblins appeared out of nowhere. It's almost like it was taken out of a novel. "

Sarah looked at phone, Track tried to turn the TV on. The TV didn't turn on.

" M-My phone isn't turning on. "

" My gun wouldn't work earlier either. "

Track pulled out a gun.

" All it's good for now Is smashing heads in. "

In the future perhaps stronger and more dangerous things would come. There's no way we would be able to survive if such a thing happens. There has to be more to this.

" Perhaps we should try to clear the area? "

I suggested this because it's the best way to kill as many of those things as possible. Just maybe this is similar to those novels I read. If it is then we should kill as many as possible.

" Does anyone know what time this started? "

Track said " It started around 8. "

Bruce said " I was about to go to work when this started.

I looked at the clock and it read 4:39. Meaning it's been around 6 hours. Perhaps for the first 34 hours we're on our own. My thoughts are interpreted my loud banging on the door and windows. High pitched noises could be heard on the other side.

Everyone quickly got up and got weapons. The doctor got a wooden broom and broke it. He tapped his scalpel on the end of it as a makeshift spear. Sarah hof something similar but with a knife in it. I had my pocket knife still and Track had a bat along with a knife. Bruce had his iron skillet top as a shield and a knife.

Dozens of seconds passed as we shuffled around. I inspected the room trying to figure which spot would be best for me. I decided to go to the side if our blockade. I then had an idea.

" Can someone go upstairs and try to see how many of them there are? "

After a second of people looking around Terkel decided to go check. It wasn't long after that the door broke and the dresser, and couch blocking the way started being pushed back with the door. The doctor came back down with a look of fear.

" There's dozens of them. They started climbing as well. If they breaks through upstairs we'll be sandwiched. "

Goblins were known for their craftiness. Track looked at us.

" If they going up too they're going to go around back as well. Let's go to the basement. there's only one entrance. Follow me. "

We all followed Track but I hesitated and quickly stuffed as much food and drinks as I could in the buggy. I saw the green of the goblins as they posted through the door. I pushed the cart to the basement door. And pushed it down.

" WATCH OUT FOR THE CART. "

I yelled as the loud noise of the cart going down the stairs was heard. I quickly went down as well but I didn't close the door. I wanted to goblins to find us faster.

As I made my way down I saw Bruce shoving the cart behind him and looked at me. I knew he was upset. I wanted to defend my actions.

" Time is short and we don't know how long we'll be down here. Everyone can't fight at once so the people who aren't can eat and rest before switching out. "

I came up with an excuse quickly. Something I had done often in my childhood. Bruce thought for a little.

" That's a good idea. "

Our conversation was broken by the loud thud of the door. The screech's of the goblins could be heard. The sound of broken glass soon followed. That's when it hit me. We should've left something on the ground to pierce their feet.

It didn't matter as Terkel and Sarah took the sides and Bruce in the middle. There was no room for me and Track. The goblins rampaged through the house to find us. It didn't take long before one found the open door and stared down at us. It let out a shriek and soon many others came. They stormed down the stairs chaotically.

When they were close Terkel stabbed forward. The goblin couldn't stop because of it's comrades behind him and was pierced by the spear. It barely missed the heart. I noticed what was about to happen and so did Track. I rammed ran towards Bruce's back and he took a lower stance.

" HOLD ON! "

I yelled as I slammed into the back of Bruce ad the goblins ran into him. Sarah screamed as her as a goblin stabbed towards Bruce's head from above. Track swung his bat smashing the head of the goblin and sending it falling to the ground.
