Ruiria put the motorhome in park and shut its engine off. Ruiria groaned and slumped back in the driver's seat. The cutting off of the engine caught Zalina's attention, and she raised her head from watching the snake golems racing on the table.
"Huh, why'd we stopa?" Zalina uttered before she gazed out of the closest window as a torrent of rain fell upon the motorhome. Onix yawned and sat back on his sofa as he placed his hands behind his head.
"It's too dangerous to drive around abundasheeps when it rains let alone during the night," Onix stated. Zalina tilted her head sideways at an almost ninety-degree angle as she fluttered her kitsune ears.
"But why dough?" Zalina said unamusedly.
"You know how when you build up electricity in your fur or hair and when you put your hand near metal the electricity jumps to the metal?" Chronia stated with Zalina nodding at her.
"Well, in this case, the abundasheep is the metal, the clouds are your fur, and the lightning is literally electricity," Chronia explained.
"Ok... but why does that mine the vroom-vroom has to stop?" Zalina asked. Zalroth sighed and lazily rested an arm on the table, causing the snake golems to veer into each other and crash in spectacular fashion.
"If Ruiria crashed into an abundasheep we'd be struck by lightning, and mixed with the higher likelihood of it happening from it being dark it's best we wait until neither problem are present anymore before we continue," Zalroth stated.
"Oh...," Zalina muttered before he noticed the state of the snake golem racers, "No! How could this happen?!". Zalina pressed her face against the table and whimpered as Zalroth mentally awkwardly whistled to himself. Ruiria strolled past the group before opening a cabinet full of various colour potions and rifling through them. She eventually pulled out an orange potion full of white triangles.
"Zalroth, could you do me a favour and pour this barrier potion on the roof so I don't have to get the ladder?" Ruiria requested.
"Alright," Zalroth stated half-heartedly as he looked around and realised he was blocked in by Chronia and Zalina. Zalroth rolled his eyes before his body poofed into a small collection of cyan clouds. Kitsune cub Zalroth lept out from the cloud onto the table. Zalroth ran across the table while Chronia amusedly smirked. Zalroth jumped off of the table and from another cyan cloud reverted to his full human form as he landed on the floor of the motorhome.

"You could've asked me to move you know," Chronia remarked cheekily with a sassy tone. Zalroth rolled his eyes at Chronia's remark as Ruiria placed the portion in Zalroth's hand.
"Please, we both know you'd have stayed there until I changed forms anyway," Zalroth stated as he pointed a finger straight at Chronia's nose.
"Nuh-uh, that's untrue," Chronia said defiantly as she crossed her ups and huffed passionately. Zalroth gave Chronia an unconvinced stare, making Chronia's seemingly offended expression crack as her frown buckled into a faint smirk.
"You tell yourself that," Zalroth said nonchalantly before jumping and grabbing the handle by the sunroof. Zalroth pushed the sunroof slightly open and poured the contents of the potion bottle onto the motorhome's roof. The orange potion spread out over every inch of the motorhome before the potion morphed into a drape-like barrier. Zalroth closed the sunroof and dropped on the floor.
"Thanks for the assistance?" Ruiria said cheerfully.
"Don't sweat it-," Zalroth said but immediately stopped as he spotted something through the windshield from the corner of his eye. Zalroth turned his head before he widened his eyes as he spotted a sphere of light deep in the forest. As he gazed upon the sphere of light, Zalroth recalled the other times he saw the very same light: one being when he was on the rescue military helicopter, a time when he was even younger and surrounded by burning Japanese-styled houses, and many times during his time living with Chronia.
"Zalroth?" Chronia asked as she looked at Zalroth with worried eyes. Chronia raised a hand to Zalroth, but before she could make contact with Zalroth, he abruptly rushed away. Zalroth dashed out the motorhome's side door, phasing through the potion barrier and rushed into the forest after the light while the rain poured. Chronia swiftly stuck her head out of the open door and darted her head around in the direction Zalroth ran off in; however, Zalroth was nowhere to be seen, and Chronia sighed sombrely.
"Zalroth...," Chronia whispered as Zalina clung to Chronia's head.
Zalroth sprinted through the forest with his eyes locked on the sphere of light directly ahead of him, but despite how far he travelled the light didn't appear to be getting any closer. Zalroth narrowed his eyes into a glare as he noticed the clearing ahead of him. Zalroth lept out into the clearing and landed in the middle of the clearing before a set of terrified female screaming blasted into his ears.
