Mary Rose lays in bed uncomfortably, rolling around occasionally in anxiety. Should I just cheat? She wonders. Find a new boyfriend? Why not? What good is Johnny anyways? He doesn't pay attention to me… But I'm a beautiful lady! I deserve attention, I deserve loyalty! She exclaims with a frown as she lays back and begins to think about it.
What about Tyler from high school? He was always cute. No… I think he's dating Samantha… Or Julian from my math class? I've always wanted a bad boy. Or maybe I should try to find a girlfriend? If only Erin was into girls… Maybe she is? Hmm, I’ll have to call her when we get back. Mary Rose begins to think. This recent experience has also loosened some of her own boundaries. She was no longer considering loyalty or faithfulness. The next step was to consider leaving Johnny for good. But whenever she walked along that line, her heart began to ache. When she thought about it, she felt that her and Johnny were meant to be together; to go against that would be to go against her own life. Or at least that’s how it felt.
Mary Rose lets out a sigh. Can I really tolerate this? She wonders to herself. Can anyone…? She thinks before covering her face with the blanket. She very much didn’t want to think about it.
…
…
Mary Rose put some ketchup and mustard on her hot dog and sat down next to the roadside stall. Depressed, she began to eat.
“Look who it is. Miss ‘my boyfriend’s an adulterer but I don’t care because he has a magic dick’.” Richard says as he walks over with a hot dog. Not caring too much, he sat next to Mary Rose.

Mary Rose lets out a chuckle.
Richard smiles. “Is it funny? How come I don’t find your situation funny? A man should treat his woman like a queen, not roadside cabbage. You obviously deserve better than that asshole.” He says before taking another bite of his hot dog.
Mary Rose lets out a bitter smile. “Thank you.” She says.
“So what are you doing out here?” Richard asks, making light conversation.
“I’m just going for a walk. Clearing my mind.” Mary Rose says.
Richard smirks. “Let me guess, that asshole’s too busy to accompany you.” He says with a shake of his head.
Mary Rose frowns but she doesn’t say anything.
Richard takes a good look at her and sighs. “You know, you’re really beautiful. Even with glasses, you look like an angel.” He says.
A blush couldn’t help but form on Mary Rose’s cheeks.
Seeing he got a reaction, Richard raises an eyebrow. Then, he decides to be bolder and leans in. He felt a softness on his lips, and he presses against it, savoring the moisture.
Mary Rose’s eyes widen. A part of her thought that this was her chance. But another part of her saw Johnny drifting away and her inner being began to scream.
Mary Rose quickly stands up. “I’m sorry.” She says before leaving. This event shocked her mind into place, and she realized, she couldn’t leave Johnny; at least not now, not while her heart still yearned for him. The threat of losing him was too much, and she left hurriedly with a guilty heart.
…
…
Johnny arrives back at the hotel and sees that Mary Rose was still in bed. He lets out a sigh and lays next to her, but Mary Rose rolled away to look at the other side. It was not because she didn’t want to see him, it was because it would break her heart to see him. Her heart and mind were currently in chaos trying to process the guilt she was feeling. I don’t want to leave him, I don’t want to leave him! Please god, let me stay with him! She thinks, anxious.
Johnny’s brows furrow but he hugs her anyways, laying peacefully, feeling her touch. Johnny lets out a sigh. I’m too much. There aren’t many girls who would put up with me. But I can’t stop… I would have a hundred girlfriends if it aligned with my dao. I wouldn’t think twice about the public’s criticisms. But the pain I’m causing her… It’s not worth it… He thinks before closing his eyes. He hoped that time could heal this wound.
