Jack cut the souls of six scientists and killed the rest before returning to those six to interrogate them. The answers he heard were intriguing.
"How did you know about the Transcendents?"
"The Transcendents are a subject passed down from ancient times."
"But we don't know who discovered them first or how."
"How far have you progressed in your research?"
"We haven't noticed any developments in a decade."
"Why then do you continue doing this?"
"Orders from the government."
Finally, Jack asked the most important question in his eyes, "Who is the mastermind in this facility?"
"The government."
"What is the government?"
"The heads of the provinces in our state and often the same in other countries."
"Wow, you explained something very clearly. Now, the last question, how do we get out of here?" One of the elders answered, "We came here through the fourth section."
"The fourth section?" Jack paused for a moment before continuing, "How do I get to the fourth section, and what do I do to get out through it?"
"The fourth section is in one of the secret passages. When you get there, you'll find teleportation gates."
Jack was amazed by what he heard. The turn of events was something he couldn't have imagined, but it felt somewhat classic. He asked who knew the way, and all six scientists nodded, so he took the youngest scientist and slaughtered the rest.
He completed his task in the control room, although he wanted to examine it carefully, time was running short, so he hurriedly moved on. "Alright, then lead the way quickly," Jack ordered the scientist's spirit before the dagger's effect wore off, and the scientist returned to his normal state. But now, he no longer feared Jack and moved like a machine through the first section's corridors, followed by Jack and the patients.
The scientist's movements were systematic, always taking the right path at each intersection. Jack started to feel they might be stuck in a loop, but suddenly the scientist stopped, and when Jack passed him to see why, he found a large black wall blocking their way.

"Alright, what now?" Jack asked. After staring for a few seconds, the scientist moved toward the wall and placed his card at various spots as if searching for something. After several attempts, they all heard a sound indicating the wall had opened.
The wall split mechanically, revealing a dark area inside. The scientist stopped and looked at Jack. Jack understood they had reached the fourth section. He wanted to light up the place, but it seemed impossible, so he decided to enter alone while the others followed. This section was slightly different from the previous three, smaller and mostly empty, but Jack noticed a large elevated table with a small elevated circular area in front of it, resembling some kind of courtroom.
"Perhaps they judged the Transcendents here?" Jack wondered, but he didn't care much, as he was unlike any Transcendent he encountered before.
He proceeded further into the dark section until he saw a light ahead. Just as he was about to approach the light, he heard someone's voice. "Ah, so this is the true form of a Transcendent? He really looks like an ordinary person from this world. Hmmm, yes, but this doesn't-" The voice stopped when the speaker noticed Jack's sharp gaze. Jack quickly pounced on the man, but his instincts warned him of danger nearby, so he stopped at the last moment. When he finally saw the scene before him, he saw an old short man with entirely white hair, wearing a plain yet luxurious jacket. The man's deep brown eyes looked at Jack with a small smile, but what caught Jack's attention was the electric spark dancing on the floor near the old man. He felt he could throw himself into it if he dared.
"What's this? When I received information about you, I didn't think you were such a coward! What a shame," the old man mocked Jack. But Jack had already made up his mind and activated his spectral throat state, quickly throwing the dagger towards the old man. In that moment, he noticed a barrier surrounding the old man, effortlessly stopping the attack. The dagger became non-material when its ability was activated, and that allowed it to pass through the barrier easily, cutting the old man's soul and leaving him in shock.
"Ha-ha, this dagger is indeed excessively powerful. Despite all your preparations, I defeated you in one move. How foolish," Jack felt the absurdity of the power of the dagger and the system as a whole. In this world where there were no supernatural phenomena, Jack was truly invincible.
But in his moment of exultation, he heard a sound of a button being pressed from afar, and in the next moment, he saw all the patients around him turn white before he felt the heat surrounding him, followed by a white light engulfing everything with an explosive sound. Jack found himself lying on the ground with several broken bones. His vision was limited, and he was about to lose consciousness when he heard a deep voice speaking, but he couldn't understand what was being said.
He closed his eyes in pain for a moment, then reopened them to hear the same voice, this time closer. Jack struggled to look up, and when he did, he saw the image of a man with a muscular build, green savage eyes, and an old wound on his square jaw.
Jack was lost in the scene, unable to comprehend what the man was saying. However, the man grabbed Jack by his hair and looked directly into his eyes before saying clearly and coldly, "You are ours now."
