Establishing the foundation

"Do you feel better, my brother?" After the girl finished her question, the boy smiled at her and told her that he was feeling better despite feeling a little weak.

"Well, of course. After all, your body is weak, and you had a car accident. But how deep were you immersed in your thoughts not to notice the truck? Anyway, I'm glad your injuries weren't severe. I'll call my mom to let her know that you've woken up."

After a while, a woman entered the room and gently embraced the boy. "Oh, my dear son, are you okay? Are you still feeling pain? Your mother was very worried about you. Oh, my poor weak son, how I missed you."

"I will update my father about my brother's condition. Should I ask if he can leave the hospital and come back home with us?"

"Yes, my dear." The mother looked at the boy and said with a warm smile, "Come on, Jack, let's go back home."

After the doctor confirmed that Jack was able to leave the hospital and gave him some medications, the family returned to their home. Jack, the name of this body, examined his room before resting on his bed. He raised his right hand and started studying the tattoo on it. This tattoo had changed for the first time in a long time, indicating progress. However, instead of providing answers, it raised new questions. In Life Number 1001, the shape of the tattoo on his hand changed. Is this a good or bad thing? Will it change again? Do I need to live another 1000 lives or more to witness the change? Is it even the solution to this curse of reincarnation? Many questions, but only silence instead of answers.

The family gathered around the dining table for dinner. Sighing, Jack's sister Emma asked, "So, Dad won't be coming home tonight? He's exerting himself too much at work."

"Come on, dear, you know he's doing his best to meet our needs. He told me he'll come back early tomorrow. Anyway, enjoy your feast, Jack, in celebration of your discharge from the hospital."

Jack smiled and politely replied, "Yes, thank you, Mom." The feast his mother referred to consisted of some vegetables and herbs adorned with bits of meat. The Wilson family, Jack's family, belonged to the lower-middle class. Jack himself was a third-year high school student, with black hair and brown eyes, of average height and a weak physique. His younger sister, who looked almost identical to him, was a year younger and slightly shorter, with longer hair that added to her beauty. Their mother showed some wrinkles, and her black hair was interspersed with some gray strands. Jack noticed that she truly loved her family and had a tender heart. While she appeared ordinary in the hospital, upon returning home, she began crying and embracing Jack passionately. The father's position is currently unknown, but he works hard to make his family accepted.

Just an ordinary world and an ordinary family? Is that really everything? While Jack was eating, he couldn't stop himself from thinking about this matter.

After finishing his meal and helping with the dishes, Jack went up to his room to rest. At least the house was somewhat spacious, and there was some technology in this world, although primitive. Jack thought as he played with his cell phone. He wasn't bothered by this life because he had lived as both a king and a beggar, living among smart robots and foolish animals, so he didn't care about status. What bothered him the most was the world itself. Pondering over this, Jack sighed and decided to think about it tomorrow.

When Jack closed his eyes, he began to drift into the world of dreams. Unlike what you might find in people's dreams, Jack dreams of the same thing. He dreams of swimming in a dark, cold, and desolate space with no end in sight. But this time in his dream, Jack felt something different, as if his mind was melting into warm waters. He immersed himself more and more, forgetting who he was. He was in a state where he became aware in the dream, but at the same time, he couldn't think. It was as if he could feel what was happening in the dream but was too lazy to think. He felt like he was representing his deepest desires, far away from any logic. In that strange state, Jack felt the presence of something approaching, something luminous. There were three lights slowly approaching him. In a moment, they stopped as if inviting him to come closer. Yellow, red, and blue lights. Jack noticed the lights, one after the other, before settling on one. The calm, peaceful blue color, the same color as the sky in this world that made you feel small. This was the color that Jack hated because it meant boredom, the killing boredom that he had experienced. But at the same time, it was the color that Jack wanted. He desired tranquility, to escape from his state and find comfort from his curse. So, his instincts moved towards the blue light. As if the light sensed his decision, it gently oscillated while revolving around Jack's imaginary body and merged with him slowly...

Upon hearing the chirping of birds in the morning, Jack slowly opened his eyes. After sitting up, Jack began to remember what he saw last night. Something... I did something in the dream. I-I think I saw light, no, I saw three lights. Blue... Yes, the blue light resonated with me in the dream! Jack examined his body but didn't notice any changes. He raised his right hand and noticed the tattoo, but it hadn't changed either. In his confusion, Jack raised his gaze upwards to find something new appearing before him.

System? Jack wasn't surprised by the appearance of the system because he had encountered it in some of his previous lives. Despite its rarity, he was familiar with it. What surprised him was that this world did not contain any kind of superpower or dungeons, and he had confirmed this himself before.

An ordinary world? Jack wondered as he covered his face with his hand. Soon, a smile appeared on his face. Of course not! This world is more complex than that, this life is different. Jack didn't raise his hopes high because he had experienced disappointment several times before. But now he felt that things were different. He must go and explore this world without wasting time. Jack got up from his bed and took his crutches. Despite the lack of superpowers in this world and his own weak body, Jack was a great expert in self-defense and utilizing one hundred percent of the human body's simple capabilities. He descended the stairs without making any noise, smoothly opening the door without anyone noticing. Before he could leave the house, he encountered a person standing in front of him, their face filled with question marks.

"Jack, my son, you seem energetic today."
