Then, just then, without warning, a pair of ice-cold hands clenched around my body. And freezing lips and sharp fangs sunken far down into my exposed neck.
I let out a scream of terror and pain, trying to break free from their grip. I flailed my arms and kicked my legs, but to no avail. I felt as if my life slowly slipped away as they drained my energy.
They attached their hands to my trembling lips, so I wouldn't let out any more screams. I was dragged to the deepest woods around this area. I could still sense their hands, cold and unyielding, as they pulled me through the trees by my wrists, despite being in a completely, speechless shock. I had no idea where we were going, but I knew it would be worse than anything I could imagine. I prayed for a miracle to save me. But I knew no miracle would happen. Everyone at home had no idea I was not coming back inside. Darcia had no idea that I would be gone just a few minutes after our interaction.
I was petrified, and my heart was racing as I attempted to think of a way out. I shivered in fear, knowing that I would never be able to escape this monster who had kidnapped me.
Their cold lips that sucked onto my throat and hands that grabbed me around my wrists meant it was another vampire, but what do they want from me? Someone so ordinary. Someone without a family. Practically, I am no one.
The bite on my neck suddenly burst into flames, like a fire that had started on my neck. It wasn't just an ordinary bite. I've been bitten a few times by Darcia, and it just wasn't the same.
He finally stopped dragging me and shoved me to the ground. I was too weak to react or gain strength in my legs. My vision got blurry, and I couldn't identify the vampire who had kidnapped me.
"What will you do with me?" I asked straight away; playing dump was not going to save me.
The vampire remained quiet.
The chilly ground underneath me and the colder wind swept away the warmth I felt this afternoon. Suddenly, a hot tear ran down my cheek. I was never a lucky girl; I knew this fact. But to take me away from my only happiness and a family was the end of my sanity.
"Just kill me," I stated clearly. Why live if I won't ever see Darcia? The only being who cared for me more than herself. I got mad at myself that I did not listen to her and stayed outside for those roses. Those bloody roses who called a dead upon me.
The creature crouched down near me and kept looking at the burning wound on my neck. He analyzed it and even took a closer look, hovering over me. It all felt like my world was falling apart once again, but that was the burden I needed to carry on my back to love a vampire.
My sight went black, and I could only hear the trees moving to the flow of the blowing wind. My whole body felt as hard as a rock, and none of my body parts could be lifted from the ground. I was attached to the cold, wet ground. I took the last deep breath in, and the world shut down before my eyes.

Has it been a day or two? Perhaps a week or months? The answer was unknown to me. The only thing I was sure of was that I was in a different location. It was not lying on the ice-cold ground anymore. The place where I was lying was pleasant and soft. The smell of the thing I was lying on was incredibly fragrant. Black Dahlia is the name of the darkest flower that was planted. Some say the scent of it could kill you and burn your nose if you inhaled it. That was the smell of it. Very dangerous, but your nose can't stop inhaling it. Addiction.
I spread my weak fingers onto the surface underneath me. It wasn't a bed or anything close to it. It was a skin. I steadily shifted my head upward to face the person I was comfortably sleeping on. My blurry sight got cleared once I've blinked a multiple times. The chin length desky black hair that was curled to the inside, I could recognize at any time at any place. I shut my eyes in disbelief, thinking it was all just a nightmare. I wished I could wake up from it and be back in Darcia's secure arms.
An ice-cold hand wrapped around my body suddenly. I squeezed my eyes in case I open them by accident. I wasn't ready to die so soon, but here I was lying on a dead creature.
"You surely must remember me, don't you?" The creature asked. I shook my head, and the rest of my body was like a statue. Breathing almost became a foreign concept to me.
"Ohh, I apologize for such a not-welcoming reunion. Missed me?" My head was tilted by the creature's hand, and my eyes met those bloody-red eyes again.
Elvira Valdis.
In a second, I was twisted onto my hurt back. My body was still like a statue. I kept my shaky hands around my waist.
Her perfectly curved body hovered on top of mine. Her smirk appeared immediately. Red lipstick and a long sleek black eyeliner decorated her beautifully structured face. Those eyes were screaming at my terrified, hopeless face.
"Is this what she does to you? Playing with you as some whore?" she asked, laughing, showing her pointy fangs, and slightly tilted her head.
She grabbed both of my wrists, moved them above my head and squeezed them tightly. However, for some reason, I couldn't feel her grip as much as I used to. No pain could be felt.
"If you want me, have me. If you want to kill me, kill me!" I bravely shouted in her face.
She started giggling at what I had said. I was a complete joke to her. Tears were flowing down my cheeks. I couldn't make myself stop shedding them. The only thing I was able to do at that moment was cry like a pitiful little girl who could not save herself without any help.

"Once your soul is no longer a part of you, nothing or no one can bring it back." She almost whispered it and then licked the wound on my neck.
I widen my eyes at her answer. Was I not alive anymore, and this was just a dream? Or am I in hell for my sins?
I tore my sight from her to look where I even was. The room wasn't even a room. It was like a basement, but more pleasant to be in and look at. We were lying on a king-size bed whose sheets were emerald, matching Elvira's diamond necklace that hung around her neck.
I returned my gaze to her, and suddenly she was no longer on top of me. "Tell me, what is so good about her? What is it about my unworthy sister that you like so much?" She wondered with a serious, cold look.
I decided to not provoke her more by the look on her face and just answer with all honesty.
"She's much more worthy than you are. Despite her cravings for blood, she decided to change because of me and endure the forsaken desire for blood. She learned to love someone without the centuries of receiving any love." I stopped talking to catch my breath. However, I was not done speaking.
"And you are still jealous of your little sister. What a piece of useless shit you are! You deserve to rot in hell!" I yelled at the top of my lungs.
Yeah, I got a little bit more carried by my emotions; I forgot it's a vampire in front of me who can easily kill me, and I just said a nasty thing about her. Was I wrong? Fuck no.
Her forehead creased, and a hysterical laugh escaped her mouth. Total madness behind those empty, bloody eyes.
"Forsaken desire?" She confusingly repeated my words with her eyebrow raised.
Before she or I could utter something back, the iron door opened. Her little puppet, Neon showed up. He Follows her around and does everything she demands. There are no objections from his side because he loves her. Only a fool like him could love her. Neon was the one who kidnapped me. His wild raven short-cut hair was hard to ignore.
"I apologize, my princess, but the dinner is ready." He informed her, not paying me a glance. I looked at my feet, which were tied. I could not move much, but I thought I could just simply rip them apart when I was alone. As if I had the strength for it.
Her facial expression changed, and a calmness appeared on her features. "Oh my, we will finish this talk later." Her hands clasped together.
"I'm sure you're starving." She added with a smirk splashed on her face.
What will happen to me now?
Darcia's pov
I super-speed upstairs into my room. I immediately jumped into the bathtub. The water was pretty clear at the lake; however, I like to be one hundred percent clean. I washed off every piece of dirt and mud that was attached to my pale, flawless skin. I changed into my black long robe and tied the satin belt into a perfect ribbon around my waist, so the robe would not be moving.
I sighed as I finally sat down on the velvet-red couch with the sketches in my hand, and looked through them to find the one I had drawn the most perfectly. No mistakes, no incorrect lines, or bad shadowing.
I saw her sit on the bench, looking up into the sky as the heavy fog surrounded her. She was different back then, clouded by her thoughts and worried. I love to look back at her on this piece of a paper.
We might be different types of beings, but darkness surrounds us all the time. We were never lucky in life. Not me as a vampire and her as an innocent human. We cannot escape this monstrous fate that is ahead of us.
It's like we were never meant to be happy. To never find the once in a lifetime happiness. That's how it feels. That's what it's like.
When those eighteen minutes passed by and Talia did not return inside, I knew something was wrong. I didn't change into different clothes because I was too worried about her. I super-speed outside, where the roses are planted. No sight of her. I headed towards the water tap, but still, she was nowhere to be found.
Lastly, I walked to the garage, almost breaking the outside door. That was the moment I accepted that she was gone.
I speed-run to Nicoli's room, where I have found Stacey as well. Both looked shocked and confused, seeing me at such an hour, bashing in there.
"She-" I uttered. I was gasping for air, holding onto the door handle.
"What's happened?!" Stacey asked loudly. They both ran close to me, but leaving me have enough space around me.
I dropped to my knees as I kept recalling the fact that she was no longer in this house. No longer with me.
Tears began to form in my eyes. It was impossible to hold them back. I bore my eyes into my palms. Suddenly, I was embraced by the coldness that was Nicoli. His hands captured my back, holding me as tight as he could.
"She is - gone." I finally said it out loud to them. Nicoli's hands weakened around my body, and my tears stopped flowing. It wasn't because I stopped being in agony; it was because an unbelievable amount of anger built inside of me once I said it out loud.
I shifted from Nicoli's arms back to the yard in a second. I orbit, focusing on every tree and every scent I can inhale into my nose.
Besides the trees, animals, and blood, I couldn't detect anything.
Nicoli and Stacey appeared shortly after and kept looking around the place where the roses are planted.
"Wait." Nicoli alarmed us.
I turned to him instantly, waiting for what he had found out. His nostrils widened, and his eyes turned blood-red.
I got impatient and shifted next to him, grabbing him by the collar. "Speak, now!" I yelled into his face.
He slowly turned his head toward mine. "I recognize the smell, and so should you!" He scolded me politely.
I let go of him harshly and started sniffing around the area. It then clicked when the scent blew through me. His name was forgotten in my mind; however, his face was hard to forget. Elvira's loyal servant, the so-called friend. She commanded her friend to take Talia instead of coming here herself because she knew I wouldn't recognize his scent.
The water can was a few meters away from our house. She must have held it so long in her small hand. She must have panicked and didn't know how to react.
"We have to leave immediately, and bring her back." I said, turning to them.
But if I return home, neither I nor Talia would return home safely. I can't ask Nicoli for such a favor, as he found love again.
Now I wish I could just die from the suffering that is making my stone-cold heart even heavier to carry.
