Talia's pov

We left as soon as I packed my clothes, only putting the necessities inside the bag. I simply didn't care what could have happened. I believe Nicoli more than her. I know I shouldn't, but I do.

I walked outside my room, looking carefully around to see if she was nearby. After everything looked clear, I was on my tippy toes, walking down the stairs as quietly as I could.

I waited for Nicoli in the entrance hall. My legs were shaking at the thought of her coming downstairs and seeing us going somewhere. I knew that once she found out, it would be over for me.

Nicoli came shortly after with his bag too, and we left. The road was pretty dark-so dark that you couldn't see almost anything through the window. The branches from the fallen trees were cracking under the tires, making me think it was her.

I felt uneasy the whole ride, secretly wishing he would take me back to the orphanage, but I knew that would never happen.

We stopped the car in front of a very old wooden house in the middle of the forest. I could hear the owl singing and circling around me as I stepped out of the car. I closed the door while looking up at the naked trees. A cold wind blew right through me, and I hugged myself to cover myself more. I was clothed very lightly.

"Where are we exactly?" I asked as I looked back at the creepy house. He shut the door and walked to me.

"We lived here before." He said it plainly and started to walk towards the house. I quickly followed his steps. He inserted his sharp nail inside the lock on the front door, but before doing so he gazed into the depths of the forest.

After the second try, he successfully opened them. I immediately went inside due to the freezing weather outside. Of course, there were no lights, and I couldn't even see myself. Nicoli locked the door behind him and took something that was placed next to my head.

Out of nowhere, a light appeared. I turned to him and saw a candle in his hand. The matches were placed right next to the candle. He took another one that was on the shelf and gave it to me. He lit my candle with his and was weirdly observing my face. I widened my eyes at him, slightly shaking my head.

He laughed and said, "You look terrified of this place, but you don't need to; it's safe here while you're with me, so don't worry."

I lightly smiled at him and nodded. He put himself in front of me, holding the candle up so I could properly see everything. We walked upstairs, and he showed me where I'd be sleeping. I put my bag on a very small bed. For some reason, he couldn't stop looking out the window.

"Is there something interesting out there?" I loudly wondered as I wrapped myself in the blanket I packed with me.

"No." He gravelly replied.

I looked at him after I recalled who he was. A creature who drinks the last drop of a human's blood until they are motionless. A monster who's killing innocents who are undefeated.

But it was hard to imagine him doing something so cold-blooded. I once thought that about her. I saw much more in her than anyone else probably. She crashed that thought of mine though. I flinched, remembering what I saw a week ago. A part of me was glad that I saw her real side, but another part of me was incredibly disappointed by that. What should have I expected from a dead human?

"This house looks extremely ancient. Almost like no one has lived here for years." I suddenly said, to break the weird silence. His gaze switched to me, to which he chuckled. He sat down on the bed and went through his hair with his thin and long fingers.

"Yes, you're correct. No one else lived here except me and Darcia. Since this house is placed far away from humans, and no one dares to go this far in these woods, nothing was stolen." He declared.

I simply smiled and looked at my bag, wondering if I should unpack it or not. I hugged myself tighter with the fuzzy brown blanket. Nicoli suddenly got up from the bed and walked to me very close.

"I need to feed tonight." He announced it to me. I looked at him, confused, thinking he was going to feed on me. Aren't we over that thought yet?

"Not on you. I will leave for a short time if you don't mind." He added. I nodded while looking into his eyes. He then looked at the fireplace and lit it with the candle he was holding. He then proceeds to leave in the blink of an eye. I sighed in exhaustion and speculated what I should do in my spare time. I return my gaze back at my full bag of clothes. I unzipped it and then explored it, trying to find some warmer socks.

Several seconds later, I heard footsteps in the hall. The cracking floor was creepier than I had in mind. I didn't think much of it though. I was minding my business, thinking it was still Nicoli. Out of nowhere, the door opened and alarmed me with another crumbling sound. I slowly turned around, thinking Nicoli had come back into the room.

"You're back so soon wh-" I tried to finish the sentence, but my mouth shut as soon as my eyes landed on her.

My eyes widened in total shock. I froze at who I saw in front of me. An unbelievably cold sweat ran down my spine. She just peered into my eyes so intensively that I couldn't break eye contact. I immediately broke out of my trance when she took a step forward. I ran to the end of the room, taking short perpetual breaths as I was entirely petrified.

"Get the fuck out!" I yelled as loud as I could. She did not react to it at all. I grabbed the candle I had placed on the table and directed it toward her.

"Get away from me!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. She furrowed her eyebrows with a briefly lopsided smile. She suddenly blew out the candle I was holding, and the darkness began. I dropped the candle on the ground as my hands couldn't stop shaking, and tried to run past her. I was almost out of the door when her hands appeared on the door, barricading me. My heart started to hurt from the insane speed at which it was beating. Even with the little space between us, I attached myself closer to the door, resting my head against it. Her hands did not move even one inch. A tear steadily shimmered in my eye.

My breathing did not slow down; it went a little faster. I covered my lips with my hand, so I couldn't let out weird sounds as I was sobbing drastically.

She went closer to me another inch and suddenly wrapped her cold hands around my waist, making me tighten my core. I nearly forgot how to breathe. She leaned her head on my shoulder and clenched me with her hands even more. I let my hands hang in the air as I couldn't comprehend what was happening.

"I did something terrible. I never imagined you would see me in such a state. It was a very weak moment of mine. I lost control. I could never hurt you like that, Talia." She spoke finally. Her uttering my name made me shiver. Why is the way she says my name is making me feel different than it should?

"The truth that I tried to push away so many times made me lose my goddamn mind. But I'll speak of it at this very moment. For the very first time I saw your face, I knew there was something special about you. You were different from any other human being I had seen or met. You are a breath of fresh air to me. I love how you smell or the way your hazel eyes look at me. Your unbelievably soothing voice calms me down. I want you so fucking much that I just cannot resist you at all. I want to touch you all the time and hold you close to me. The thought of you hating me or looking so disgustingly at me pains my cold heart. I cannot bear it. I-I'm scared you will leave, and I'll never find you again. The thought of you abandoning me makes me want to fall into the deepest ocean and never swim back to the surface."

Darcia turned me to face her. She tilted my chin up, but my eyes were still closed. After a few seconds, I slowly opened them and saw her eyes getting wet, a tear traveling her cheek. Did she just shed a tear because of me?

My lips were trembling from all the words I just heard from her. She bent down on her knees and locked her hands around me as she rested her head on my stomach. I still stayed frozen, unable to speak.

"Please, please forgive me." She begged me, digging her sharp nails into my back. "Please- don't leave me." She added in the most vulnerable, deep voice I heard her speak in.

Even more, tears ran down my cheeks. I couldn't push her away. Not this time. I let her wrap herself around me like a snake. We were in this position for an unbelievably long time. Her strong hands didn't lose their strength, even after so much time. She just held me as hard as she could.

She entirely opened herself to me. She let me in.

I felt completely weak at that point; I couldn't bear it any longer. I touched her hands that were placed on my lower back and pushed them away. She, surprisingly, did not resist. She stayed on her knees, looking so sadly at me.

I slowly went down on my knees too. She delved into my eyes. I trembled again, remembering how she looked that night. All soaked in blood, but now she looks clean again. The old her that I remember. But she cannot wash away all her sins that are irreversible.

Darcia's pov

Talia looked deeply into my eyes as she fell to her knees. I could see her still trembling. I suddenly leaned closer to her at a very slow pace. I reached my hand for her cheek. I carefully touched it and rubbed my thumb through her cheek. I wiped the tear that was escaping her eye away. She was silent; she was just looking into my eyes.

It felt as if time had stopped, and it was just the two of us in this room. The moonlight lit up her whole face. I could clearly see the tears in her eyes. Those beautiful hazel eyes looked mesmerizing. I couldn't stop looking at her and admiring her beauty.

"Darcia, you scared me," Talia spoke. I embraced her wholeheartedly. I wrapped my arms around her as tightly as I could. Her hands finally touched me too, and I felt a moment of relief.

Relieved that she even slightly or partially forgave me, although touched me. A smile started to curve on my face. I shifted us onto the bed, as I couldn't bear her to be on the freezing floor.

Her golden hair framed her face as I laid her on the bed. Her pinkish lips were slightly open because she probably didn't expect me to do something so suddenly. I placed my thumb over her lips. A strong desire was all I sensed. I hovered over her, traveling with my finger over her adorable bridge of the nose.

She sighed and grabbed my hand. I twisted hers and kissed the top of her hand. Her hand escaped from mine out of nowhere. "You don't like it?" I asked her. She tried to escape my eyes, so I touched her chin to keep her still.

"I cannot stop touching you, sweetheart. I want to explore every part of your smooth body." I whispered into her ear, to which she blushed. I stayed close to her ear and softly kissed her right cheek.

"Darcia." She said under her breath and wrapped her legs around my waist. I felt her warmth as she clung to me. The energy between us was palpable and I wanted nothing more than to stay in that moment forever.

"Can I touch you more?" I asked helplessly, enduring the fear of rejection. "I'm not ever going to hurt you, Talia. I couldn't ever do something like that to you. You're everything to me."

Her eyes shifted on my lips as she jointly rubbed them. I heard her heart pound out of her chest. I was only inches from her gorgeous lips, which were calling me to kiss them. I touched her lips with mine. Gently I kissed them once. I pulled away to assure myself that she was okay with me doing so. She pulled my head back to kiss her again. I giggled and tasted her sweet lips fully. Her mouth slowly opened, and my tongue slipped inside immediately. She quietly moaned and dug her fingers into my back. Her legs locked around my hips.

Talia broke from our passionate kiss and spoke, "I want more of you."
