"Everyone starts out human, but eventually we will grow, and evolve into something no other human being will ever be. We will the truest version of ourselves possible!" ~ Man with a body made of continuously regenerating cheese, 1973.

I'm 27, and yet for all purposes, I appear to be a normal human. Now, back before the big change, I would have been unnoticed, completely normal. Now, I'm the only human left, at least appearance-wise. Most people call it a miracle that I somehow didn't evolve, and some find my humanity disturbing.
I did evolve though. My body just knew I wanted to be completely normal, and blend in, to never have to interact with other human beings. Basically, be an introvert. And so, That's what I evolved to be - something human, that could hide in the background. And yet, my body's instincts were hundreds of years behind on what 'normal' looked like.

A pair of wings was growing. Eventually, I might be able to fly away to a place where humanity is still human, and fade into the background once again.
