Alright, so I figured it would be good to clarify some things for the future. People are allowed to have as many Pokémon as they want as long as they are not abusing/neglecting them. In tournaments, you have to choose six members for the entire tournament. For Gym and Elite 4 challenges, 4 moves are allowed for each Pokémon. However, those that get to the champion are allowed to use everything they have.
For moves, there are three 'stages.' There are normal, training, and trained. normal moves needs some time to use and are rather inefficient in terms of energy usage. Moves that are in training have qualitative improvements, but can still be stopped or interrupted if an opponent acts quickly enough. Moves that have been trained are used much faster and with less energy needed. Only moves that have also been previously trained can stop/interrupt these moves but are very dependent on the reaction time of the Pokémon itself.
In terms of moves learned, in this story every move a Pokémon is capable of learning (whether it is through level-up, TMs/TRs, or move tutors) can be learned naturally. The most common moves learned are those that are learned through leveling in the games. It is possible for a Pokémon to learn TM moves naturally, though some moves may require knowledge/experience with other moves/types before they are learned. For example, Inkay learned Attract naturally even though in the games it only learns Attract through TMs. Inkay could also learn Liquidation naturally, but it needs to know another Water-type moves for this to happen. Or, it can be learned through a TM/TR.
Here is where I will keep MC's team and team info. Some are part of the main team, others are part of the secondary team. This means his main team will participate in most tournaments, but may be switched out for secondary team members depending on circumstances. You can use the moves they have learned to somewhat gauge what level they are at, but I won't be using levels or any other real strength system for Pokémon in this story. MC's Pokémon are either gonna get their asses beat, struggle with a fight, or win with ease. They won't know till the battle starts.
There may be spoilers when reading the Team info, depending on where you are on the story.
