Ch9: Sun Wukong has sent a visitation request!

Ch9: Sun Wukong has sent a visitation request!

I shared a long look with Qinglong before replying to Sun Wukong. This guy... I don't think he's right in the head!

Jade Beauty: Ah, I'm sorry Sun Wukong. I wasn't aware that I was Jade Beauty. I don't see the need to mention whether or not I am a woman...

Sun Wukong: So you are! That's great!

Sun Wukong has sent a visitation request.

Sun Wukong: Hey, Jade Beauty, let me come over. There's a lot of stuff you need to know, you know? No other reason.

Sun Wukong has sent a visitation request.

He definitely has mental issues! This guy is crazy! I sighed in exasperation as I looked to Qinglong. "Can't he just tell me over the chat system?" QInglong let out a booming laugh.

"Of course he can, but that Sun Wukong is definitely not a normal guy. I wouldn't accept his visitation request if I were you." I nodded. That much was pretty obvious.

Jade Beauty: Sorry Sun Wukong but you definitely can't come over. My system companion advised against it. Tell me what I need to know here! Thank you.

Sun Wukong: Damn those companions, always blocking me like this... The new beauties are so hard to get in touch with!!

Sun Wukong: Alright, listen up! What world type did you pick?

"Qinglong, there's no harm in answering this right?" This guy was a bit of a psycho. I didn't want to tell him anything more than necessary.

He let out a hum as he thought for a few seconds. "No, there's no danger in doing so. Not directly, at least." I gave him a sharp look.

"Not directly? Qinglong, can you tell me why it might be indirectly a bad idea?" His massive head shook in refusal. I sighed and turned back to this Sun Wukong guy. I really didn't want to owe him favours.

Jade Beauty: My system companion isn't able to tell me why it's a bad idea to tell you, just that it's not. If you tell me why, maybe I will share that information with you too!

Sun Wukong: Don't listen to that old system fart. Trust this grandaddy, I would never harm a Jade Beauty!

Sun Wukong has sent a visitation request.

Jade Beauty: Sorry, Sun Wukong! I still cannot accept your request to visit.

Sun Wukong: Worth a try. Anyway, the type of world you chose matters a lot. But there's a pretty universal tip; you must stay involved with your creation. Whether you choose to do it as a key figure or as a god, it doesn't matter, just stay involved!

Sun Wukong: Unless you chose a cultivation-type world. Definitely don't go down there until you've reached the pinnacle!

Sun Wukong: Hey, Jade Beauty, why aren't you responding? Did you choose a cultivation-type world? You definitely didn't go down there right?

Sun Wukong has sent a visitation request.

Sun Wukong: Hey, Jade Beauty!! I'm really worried!

Maybe just ignoring this guy was the right idea. He was really, seriously getting annoying! I felt a headache coming already.

"Qinglong, I can also be a god? I thought that only system companions were allowed to be that." Well, to be fair, I hadn't even really considered it before. However he'd only mentioned electing himself as a god; not me.

I ignored the constant notifications from Sun Wukong as Qinglong spoke. "Of course, Kuan Yin." I thought for a few moments before bringing up the pantheon menu.

Divine Pantheon

God of the Eastern Winds, Qinglong

...

...

...

...

I did have four remaining slots. My plan had been to recreate the four divine beasts and give them control over a direction. With the four major continents, it would've been a pretty solid plan. However now, with that extra slot, I had an idea.

This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version.

Heavenly Laws, Kuan Yin

Obviously, I wasn't truly the Heavenly Laws; I'd already given those permissions to Qinglong. However, taking the title was probably a pretty good idea. If the world saw each of the four gods I'd planned to create as divine beasts who cultivated, then the Heavenly Laws surely stood above them right?

I nodded sagely. Yes, of course.

I was truly a genius! I giggled as I flexed my cultivator persona, before turning back to the chat with Sun Wukong.

Jade Beauty: Hey, Sun Wukong, I really am okay. I just made myself a god within my divine pantheon menu.

Sun Wukong: Hey Jade Beauty, you really should stop ghosting me like all the other ladies! We really have some chemistry, you know?

Jade Beauty: ...

Jade Beauty: Is there anything else I should know?

Sun Wukong: Hmm... You could always inspire the mortals. Theories, techniques, stuff like that. Bless them with divine treasures! Immortal inheritances!

Jade Beauty: Oh, that's a good idea. I hadn't thought of creating inheritances.

Sun Wukong: Aha! I, the greatest under the system, have discovered your world type is most definitely cultivation! Jade Beauty, please cultivate to the pinnacle before descending!

I frowned, turning to Qinglong again. Today really felt like a day for revelations. "Are all the Keepers enemies?" Qinglong spun around in the air as he pondered my question.

"No, not all Keepers are enemies." He hesitated before continuing. "In a way, they have the same kind of relationship two nations of equal power would." I gestured for him to continue.

"They both need all the friends they can get to rival the other nation. At the same time, they know that they can't fight, at least not fully." I nodded. So it was like that, then?

"But," I spoke, "We will fight. Eventually." Qinglong sighed, and I guessed his answer before he even spoke it.

He couldn't answer that question yet.

I decided turning back to Sun Wukong would hopefully reveal at least something of importance; Qinglong was too heavily restricted by the system.

Jade Beauty: Hey, Sun Wukong. Do the Keepers fight each other?

Sun Wukong: Oh, wow. I'm guessing your planet is still a tier zero if you have to ask me that question. Probably a Wuxia world, right? Or maybe custom.

Sun Wukong: Nah, a newbie wouldn't go for custom. Probably. Anyway, I forgot to answer your question. Yes. When your planet hits tier three, you'll be forced into the Keeper Conflicts.

Jade Beauty: What are the Keeper Conflicts?

Sun Wukong has sent a visitation request.

Sun Wukong: The Keeper conflicts are a small-scale invasion from your universe, or defense on your universe, to or by another Keeper. Basically, you either send an army to another Keepers planet, or they send one to you.

Jade Beauty: Hey, don't skip past the fact you just tried to get me to accidentally accept your visitation request!

Sun Wukong: Whoever has the foreign invader's has to kill them all. Of course, you could just keep one alive for as long as possible and hope it lets you avoid the next few invasions. But most people who seriously try to invade you definitely wouldn't allow that.

Jade Beauty: ... Thank you, Sun Wukong.

Sun Wukong has sent a visitation request.

Sun Wukong: No problem, Jade Beauty!

Sun Wukong: Hey, do you want to join my Keeper clan? it's filled with other people who have cultivation wor-

With a slam, I closed the chat. What was wrong with that guy!? I swear to god if he sends one more visitation request, I will kill him myself after I hit tier three. I opened several menus before I finally found the details of my world.

Wuxia World World Name [✏️] World Tier 0 Keeper Name: Jade Beauty Worlds Owned: 1 Pantheons Created: 1

World Details

A devastating, world ending catastrophe struck World Name which wiped out the previous civilizations. Only the remnants of their buildings, techniques, and vast power remain. A broken and recovering civilization of humans have begin to build back up and try to uncover the truth of the past. With a pantheon of only two gods, vastly incomplete, they seek to find the other divines that must exist. Are they dead? Had the disaster been so terrible as to collapse the heavens? They don't know. What comes after death is uncertain, and a veritable mystery.

Souls exist, but for how long? They dissipate fast on the mortal plane. With no one to collect them, and no place for them to go, they are extinguished into the void.

"Hey, Qinglong?" I queried.

"Yes, Kuan Yin?" His voice, deep and rumbling, made me turn away from my world details.

"How do I create an afterlife?" For the first time a while, Qinglong smiled.

"I've been waiting for you to ask something like that. Allow me to introduce you to the Keepernet's finest asset; the Shop." My eye twitched.

"What kind of name is Keepernet?" For a dragon, he shrugged surprisingly human-like.

"Ask the idiot who came up with it." I sighed. It seems like I had a lot of idiots to go around and find, though after taking a peek at Sun Wukong's chatlogs again, they seemed to find me just fine.
