Before opening the Shop, I decided that perhaps I should give my world a name -- It had been something to consider even before now, but I had just thought my inhabitants would be the ones to name the world.
I hesitated as I tried to come up with a good name. I didn't want to name it after a sect; after all, any sect was likely temporary. I didn't want to name it after a person, either. No good god has favourites!
I faced Qinglong. "I need a name."
"Kuan Yin, you may think of me as all-knowing, but I am not. A name for what?" I sighed; this should be obvious.
"For my world. It's literally titled by the system as World Name right now." Qinglong grunted, surprised.
"You haven't changed it already?" I frowned.
"You never told me about this. I didn't know." Opting out of the conversation, I watched as Qinglong avoided blame by floating through the void away from me.
That wasn't very helpful. I hummed in thought. My very rough knowledge of chinese was... only slightly helpful. Divine World? Holy World? Both of them were too similar in chinese to really tell the difference, and neither ended up as a single word.
Hmm.. Holy Domain, maybe? Something in regards to location...
Ah! Shengdi; holy place!
I submitted the name. It was perfect, with absolutely no room for improvement! A genius such as I can be said to be unparalleled under the heavens! I let a laugh out. Pretending to be a pompous cultivator was really addicting!
"Qinglong!" I shouted into the aether, before sighing. That dragon really just ditched me!
I turned to the shop, checking out the categories. There were... a really absurd number to sort through. I stopped scrolling the categories page after about 400 results. There was anything you could think of, and then twice that in stuff you would never think of.
I searched for afterlives. Surprisingly, this was a rather sparse category. One was the traditional Heaven and Hell cycle, that the christians on earth thought of. There was a simple cycle of rebirthing the soul which seemed rather crude; simply grabbing the nearest available soul and shoving it in the nearest available infant.
I guessed that eventually that wouldn't work, so I scrolled past it.
Another was similar to the greek or roman gods, where the underworld exists to harvest all the souls after death. There was also a rather interesting one in which a reaper would come to slay people, or collect their souls -- and eat them!
What kind of savage came up with that one? I hummed as I continued searching. There was really...
Nothing good here!
I heard a rumble behind me, feeling my heart jump. "If you don't like anything on the list, you can create your own. Though you would still have to purchase it. If you publish it, you get a small percent of the profit for any future purchases by another Keeper."
"You... where did you come from?" I asked. "Nevermind! You scared me!" I shouted.

"Apologies, Kuan Yin." Qinglongs voice rumbled. This guy really didn't know how to lower his voice. It felt like the entire admin room shook with every word.
"How do I create a new afterlife system?" I asked, clicking through a few options on the system panel.
"It's similar the feature you used to generate structures across your planet." I nodded; that seemed fairly intuitive. Qinglongs clawed hands brought up a panel.
Afterlife System Designer
Input any core aspects or ideas you believe to be necessary for the functioning of your afterlife system.
I wasn't sure if they did already exist, but there were two systems I wanted to craft. The first was the Naihe Bridge with Old Lady Meng.
Afterlife System Designer
Input any core aspects or ideas you believe to be necessary for the functioning of your afterlife system.
Souls are brought on a journey after dying, their souls soaking into the ground and sinking through the realm into Diyu.
On their journey, they are guided by Old Lady Meng Po. First they visit the Home-viewing pavilion, where they view their family members or loved people. If their family members or loved individuals grieve them, they go straight to the Naihe Bridge. If their family members do not grieve them, they are subjected to the Three Tortures!
If they do not have any family or loved ones to judge their life by, they will be forced to spin the wheel of fate to decide their next life. The wheel of fate determines species, memory, talent, and many other fortuitous or damning things. The greater the positive karma, the greater the luck! The greater the negative karma, the worse the luck!
The Naihe Bridge is where Old Lady Meng Po arrives with the soul of the dead to serve them a bowl of Meng Po soup. When drinking the soup, their memories are entirely erased and they're sent to go ahead onto their next life.
With a satisfied nod, I submitted it. I was gifted with the grace of a buffering symbol as the system processed my prompt. With a glance, I checked down onto the world below; Ming Yun's body was still lying still, unbothered and unseen. I was slightly surprised.
By now, it had likely been at least a few hours on the planet. Where was everyone? My reverie was cut short as a new menu popped up.
Diyu
A brief description of the afterlife that will be visible on the store page.
Meng Po waits to serve the dead.
The souls who accumulate wretched karma suffer!
The souls who accumulate positive karma thrive!

This afterlife system will cost 120 points to purchase. As the creator, should any other Keeper purchase this from the shop, you will earn 12 points.
Would you like to purchase this afterlife?
Would you like to publish this afterlife to the Keepernet?
One hundred and twenty points! By far the most expensive thing I have seen! Most afterlives were only a few dozen points at most; the highest price I had found before was just 50. Did the others truly put so little thought into their afterlife?
Or, had I done too much? I frowned. What if buying this was a mistake? Was the abnormally high price a sign of a faulty afterlife..?
"Qinglong..." I hesitated, trying to find the words to say.
"The system does not make mistakes, Kuan Yin." I turned to him, waiting for him to continue. "If it created the afterlife, and judged its price to be worth 120 points, then it is the best available on the market at the moment. I have no doubt more expensive ones will appear soon after. Perhaps the other Keepers had not considered the afterlife to be worth much thought."
I sighed. I would have just five points after buying this, but it would be worth it. After all what really was a cultivation world without reincarnation?
With my resolve founded, I pressed the button. Purchase! Yes, I really would like to purchase this!
