Ch2: Why do I need Two-Hundred and Fifty Techniques!?

I watched as Qinglong uncoiled from around me, his long body flying into the sky as he looked down on me. "Creator, your next two tasks are the most important yet." I nodded.

"One of them is to create the world my people will live on, right?" Qinglong's deep hum resonated downwards.

"And the other is to create an Admin Room." My confusion must have been rather evident, as he continued. "It is your first task. To create the world requires the use of an Admin Room. During the creation era, it has the ability to entirely mould the planet and surrounding space." I sighed, while I appreciated the level of customization offered, I really just wanted to watch the world unfold.

"How do I do it, Qinglong? More system panels?" I giggled a bit. They were rather excessive.

"No." For what it was worth, I was surprised. "It's just the same as when you imagined your own body and mine. Visualize it, and the surrounding mist will form it just like everything else." I shrugged. That seemed a bit oversimplified, but I suppose it was worth a shot.

I sat cross legged in a meditation pose, a fierce look on my face. My emotions rather differed from that, but I didn't care. If I was going to be the creator of a cultivation world I might as well act the part. Concentrating, I visualized a serene and beautiful garden full of delicious and ripe plants; and yes, I was somewhat taking inspiration from Journey to the West where Sun Wukong stole the immortal fruits. Sue me.

On second thought, I'm not sure how I'd handle a universal level lawsuit. Don't do that. Qinglongs voice resounded in agreeance, startling me out of my trance.

"What a beautiful garden, creator. It is perfect." I smiled and bowed slightly as I stood up.

In the center of the garden was a gazebo with a stone pedestal in its center. Just above it floated a nondescript gray globe where I had imagined a flourishing planet. I frowned as I walked to it, though Qinglong seemed able to tell what I was confused about.

"Ah. As you've yet to construct your planet, this tool you've thought of to help you isn't going to show you anything yet. Wonderful idea, by the way." Humming in response, I looked around. The once endless garden I had in my head was more of a floating island in the middle of space, but I suppose I would have to pick and choose my battles with things like this.

"How do I begin creating my planet?" I turned to face Qinglong once more, who was lazily floating with his body coiled around in the air.

"As your primary god and companion, I will have to assist you. it's much more difficult than simple imagination." I felt a little disappointed, but it was understandable.

"Can I simply describe the landscape of the world, and have you create it?" I questioned. He seemed human for a moment as he smiled.

"Yes. That would work. Please, creator, if you will."

"I want a world with four major continents spanning a vast majority of the world size. In between, and surrounding all of the continents, various micro-continents and large islands should be dotted around. The oceans should be as deep as possible, and the mountains should pierce the skies. I want every inch of land to look beautiful and enchanting. Each continent should have varying amounts of rivers, mountains, plains, and forests. Though, I suppose, there should be deserts as well. Feel free to place those wherever works best."

Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation.

Qinglongs eyes were shut tight as he focused on the creation of the world. I turned my focus to the globe I had created, looking in amazement as it slowly came to life as a planet. With two fingers, I zoomed in close to a random spot near a mountain. I was greeted with the sight of an enormous waterfall hiding the mouth of a cave behind it, emerald green grass and massive jungles surrounding me.

I was content with that. I turned to Qinglong. "Now what?"

"You have a perk for varying qi density. You can manually assign values, let me assign them, or allow it to be randomly assigned."

The dragons features seemed to shift. It was obvious he wanted to do it.

"You did such a great job with the land, I think you should assign the qi density as well." I watched as pride surged through him.

"I'll do my best, creator."

I turned back to the globe and watched as the torrent of white mist from the space around my admin room rushed into it. I pressed the orb gently three times, and it shifted to a colour coded map of qi density. I was happy to see the cave behind the waterfall I had just seen was one of the most dense areas on its continent.

"I love it."

"I live to serve, Creator. If you didn't, then I would simply redo it until you did." I let out a laugh, but walked outside the gazebo and let Qinglong float over so I could pet him. He was basically just a big dog with a stony demeanour.

"And now?" I questioned.

"You can either further edit the planet to include buildings, secret manuals, or other such world-history related items --- or, you can begin the natural population of the world." I rolled my eyes.

"You should already know me enough to know what I'd choose." Qinglong offered a knowing snort.

"Open your system menu, and go to the Design feature. You'll be able to randomly generate structures based on a given word prompt." I gave Qinglong a few last scratches over his hard scales before I turned my attention fully to the system panel.

Design

Input a prompt for generative structures below.

I thought about what to put there. The most obvious theme would be a destroyed world regaining its footing.

Design

Input a prompt for generative structures below.

The destroyed ruins of a long lost cultivation civilization. Techniques for cultivation are spread throughout the world and in various broken down structures. Large empires lay in destruction, villages long-since abandoned.

With a press of a button, I confirmed it before frowning at the next popup.

Warning!

The generative prompt you entered requires 50 Points to complete.

250x purchases of Low Tier Wuxia Cultivation Technique (0.2 per)

I felt my finger twitch. Two hundred and fifty different techniques? I sighed, but purchased it anyway. The people on the planet would likely derive new ones from these anyway, I guess. It was a worthwhile investment.

With an exhausted sigh, I looked to Qinglong once more. "Is the world building finally done yet?"
