Chapter 59

Chapter 59

As chaos unfolded around them, Gorgon's group fought fiercely against the remaining monsters and beast guild members.

Hans continued to cast spells to support his allies, while Hector's sniper team provided cover fire from a distance.

Gorgon, now fueled by renewed strength, charged back into the fray. His fists struck with precision, sending monsters flying and intimidating the remaining enemies. Hans, strategically using his healing spells, ensured that his comrades stayed in the fight.

Nila, atop her majestic wolf, unleashed a barrage of arrows with deadly accuracy. She targeted weak points in the guild members' defenses, causing injuries and disrupting their formations. The battle became a chaotic dance of blades, bullets, and magic.

Hector's team continued to pick off beast guild members, creating confusion and disarray among the ranks. The freed monsters, now fighting against their former masters, added to the pandemonium, making it challenging for Nila to maintain control.

Despite their exhaustion, Gorgon's group fought with determination. But they also faced difficulties as the players from Mage Tower and Demon guild joined the fray. The monsters ware also seem endless.

"We can't keep on going like this. We need to change our strategy." Hans said, his voice strained and his eyes darting around the chaotic battlefield. He could see their comrades falling one by one, their bodies torn apart by the claws and fangs of the beasts. He could also feel the pressure of the enemy players, who were closing in on them with their spells and weapons.

"Hector, is Ethan's team on their positions?" Gorgon asked over the earpiece, his tone calm and authoritative.

"Yes sir." Hector replied, his voice muffled by the gunshots and explosions.

"Okay. Proceed with plan B." Gorgon said, his eyes fixed on the entrance of the base. He knew they had only one chance to make it.

"Okay sir." Hector said, his fingers ready to pull the trigger.

"Plan B? What's plan B?" Hans asked, his curiosity piqued. He had no idea what Gorgon had in mind.

"Listen Hans, you go and escort Ethan's family to the underground facility with his team." Gorgon said, his voice serious and urgent. He knew how important Ethan's family was to him, and he wanted to make sure they were safe.

"What about Ethan?" Hans asked, his concern evident.

"Don't worry. I will escort him." Gorgon said, his voice reassuring and confident. He trusted Ethan with his life, and he was willing to risk his own to protect him.

"Okay." Hans nodded, his respect and gratitude for Gorgon growing. He knew Gorgon was a brave and loyal leader, and he would follow him to the end.

"Good. Hector now!" Gorgon said, his voice commanding and decisive. He gave the signal to Hector, who unleashed a barrage of bullets near Nila and the other players, creating a diversion and a gap for Gorgon and Hans to retreat back to the base.

Hans sprinted to the room where Ethan's family was hiding. He saw Ethan's team guarding them with their guns and swords, ready to fight. He burst into the room, his breath ragged and his face covered in sweat and blood.

"Hans, what's happening?" Norman asked, his eyes wide with shock.

"The Demon guild has teamed up with the Mage Tower and the Beast guild. They're attacking us from all sides." Hans said, his voice hoarse and urgent.

"What? But why would they do that?" Norman asked, his voice trembling. He couldn't understand why the other guilds would join forces with the Demon guild, the most notorious and ruthless guild.

"I don't know, but we don't have time to think. We need to get to the underground facility. It's the only safe place left." Hans said, his voice firm and decisive.

"Wait, what about Ethan?" Wanda asked, her voice panicked.

"Don't worry, commander Gorgon is bringing him." Hans said, his voice reassuring and hopeful.

Before they could say anything else, the building shook violently. They heard a loud boom, followed by screams and rubble falling.

"What's happening now?" Leo exclaimed, his voice alarmed.

"It seems they're using advance magic spells to collapse the building." Hans said, his voice grim and worried.

"Let's move quickly." Hans said, his voice urgent and commanding.

"Okay. Let's go." Norman said. He carried Mark in his arms, and gestured to the others to follow him. They ran out of the room, through the backdoor, and headed towards their destination.

Gorgon was not far behind them, carrying Ethan over his shoulders.

He ran as fast as he could, dodging the enemy's attacks and the falling debris. He felt a sharp pain in his legs, and looked down. He saw an arrow piercing his Achilles tendon, blood dripping from the wound. He gritted his teeth, and ignored the pain. He kept running, holding Ethan tightly.
