Chapter 53

Chapter 53

Trevor led group 3 to protect the south side. His group included Aisel and Mike.

"You shouldn't have taken him away from his team." Trevor whispered to Aisel, gesturing at Mike, who was sitting at one corner. "He needs to be with his friends, not with us."

"I know, sir, but I can't allow him to put himself in danger any longer." Aisel replied, his voice strained.

"I know what you're worried about, but trust me, he'll be fine. He can handle himself now." Trevor said, trying to sound reassuring. "He's a strong enough now. He'll get through this."

"We should talk to him later, sir." Aisel said, as he felt a sudden surge of hostile presence approaching them. "They're coming."

"Okay." Trevor nodded and turned towards his group, his eyes hardening. "Everyone, get ready. This is it."

As the enemy forces closed in on Trevor's group, Trevor, a holy mage, took a deep breath, steadying himself for the impending battle. His group formed a defensive formation, with Aisel and Mike at his side.

The adversaries, consisting of members from the Beast Guild, Mage Tower, and Demon Guild, advanced with determination. Trevor's holy magic, aligned with the forces of light, shimmered around him, casting a radiant glow.

"Stay close, everyone. We need to protect each other," Trevor commanded, his voice echoing with authority.

Aisel, despite his concerns about Mike’s safety, followed Trevor's leadership. The group braced themselves as the first clash ensued.

Trevor, with a sweeping motion of his staff, channeled divine energy into the ground, creating a protective barrier of light that shielded his group from the initial onslaught. The magical barrier absorbed incoming attacks, providing a momentary respite for Trevor's team.

As the enemies regrouped for another assault, Trevor raised his staff high, invoking holy incantations. A wave of radiant energy emanated from him, creating a zone of purification that damaged any dark-aligned beings within its reach. The unholy forces recoiled from the intense light, their movements momentarily hindered.

Aisel and Mike, following Trevor's lead, engaged the enemy. Aisel utilized his speed, swiftly incapacitating foes with precise strikes. Mike, despite his young age, displayed remarkable efficiency and control over his powers, contributing to the group's defensive efforts.

Trevor continued to weave his holy magic, providing healing to his allies and purging debuffs cast by the enemy mages. His proficiency in countering debuffs became evident as he strategically nullified curses and hexes.

Amid the chaos of battle, Trevor remained a beacon of light, radiating a calming aura that inspired confidence in his group. His holy spells acted as both a shield and a weapon, turning the tide in their favor.

The adversaries, sensing the potency of Trevor's holy magic, adjusted their strategy, focusing on overwhelming the group with sheer numbers. Trevor, undeterred, maintained his composure, adapting his tactics to counter the enemy's relentless assaults.

In a decisive move, Trevor unleashed a burst of holy light, incapacitating the enemies and dispersing their coordination. The enemies, disoriented by the sudden surge of divine power, faltered in their advance.

As the battle raged on, Trevor's group, under his strategic guidance and holy prowess, held their ground against their enemies.

But suddenly, the ground beneath them erupted with thick, thorny vines that wrapped around them. They screamed in pain and fear as they were dragged down by the relentless plants.

"What's happening?"

"Where are these vines coming from?"

Panic spread among the soldiers, but Trevor remained calm. He had seen this before. He knew who was behind this.

"It seems you've grown weak, Trevor." A mocking voice echoed in the air.

A man emerged from the vines, riding on one of them like a horse. He wore a green robe that matched the color of his eyes and held a staff that glowed with green light. He was Milan, one of the three elders of the mage Tower. He was Trevor's old rival and enemy.
