Ethan’s team quickly cleared the 3rd floor and reached the final floor. They emerged into a vast expanse of open plains, where the only things that broke the monotony were the swaying long grasses and the bright sun overhead.

"Let's go." Ethan commanded as he scanned the area with his senses. He felt a strange aura in the air, as if something was watching them. He was alert and ready, and he led the way.

They all went forward but found nothing. The plains seemed endless and empty, with no sign of life or danger. They wondered if this was a trick or a test.

"There is nothing here. What should we do?" Leo asked, as he looked around. He was bored and wanted some action.

"Maybe we should look for clues or signs." Mike suggested, as he searched the ground. He was curious and hoped to find something.

"Or maybe we should just wait for something to happen." Dagger said, as he leaned against a tree. He was relaxed and didn't mind the silence.

They all pondered for few minutes but quickly turned their attention to Ethan who suddenly stood up holding his sword.

Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.

"What happened?" Emily asked, as she saw Ethan's expression. He looked tense and serious, and he had a glint in his eyes.

"Suddenly I felt some presence." Ethan said, as he explained his feeling.

After some time, they all saw few creatures approaching them. Those had upper body of human but lower body was of horse. They were centaurs.

Centaurs approached them quickly. They had brown fur and horns, and they carried spears and bows. They looked fierce and proud, and they had a noble bearing.

Leo and Dagger were about to attack but were stopped by a voice.

"Stop." Ethan stopped them as he noticed no killing intent among centaurs. He saw that they were not hostile, but curious.

Leo and Dagger stopped while one of the centaurs picked up Leo and put him on his back. Leo was surprised and scared, and he tried to resist.

“Hey, what are you doing?” Leo shouted, wriggling and kicking in the centaur’s grip. “Let me go!” He glared at the creature, who ignored his protests.

Centaurs raised their hand and tried to make some gestures.

"I think they all want us to take somewhere." Emily said, as she understood the centaur's gestures.

"But where?" Dagger asked.

"We will know once we reach. Let's go." Ethan commanded, as he agreed to follow the centaurs.

They all sat on the backs of the centaurs and soon reached at the door of an ancient temple.

A figure covered in armors and helmet was standing there. All the centaurs stopped in front of him.

Ethan and his team got off their backs and looked at the figure.

He was a fearsome sight in his purple armor that covered him from head to toe. The metal plates were carved with intricate designs and shone with a faint glow. His face and head were concealed by a helmet with horns and a mask with slits. His red cape of silk flowed behind him, adding a splash of color to his imposing figure.

"Is he Agroth?" Mia said as she felt a sinister aura coming from him. She was nervous and scared as she felt a sense of dread.

"He seems strong." Leo said, as he saw his appearance. He was impressed and felt a sense of respect.

"And dangerous." Dagger said, as he sensed his power. He was cautious and felt a sense of danger.

"What should we should, Ethan?" Emily asked Ethan, as she looked at him.

But Ethan's attention was fixed on Agroth. He felt a strange connection with him, as if he knew him from somewhere.

"Who are you?" Ethan asked Agroth, as he tried to remember.

But the latter said nothing. He just stared at Ethan, as if he recognized him too.

"What are you? And what is your purpose? What is system goal?" Ethan asked again, as he tried to understand.

Agroth still kept his silence.

"Who..No.What am I?" Ethan changed his question.

Emily and others looked at Ethan with disbelief and worry as how his eyes looked different from usual.

"If you want to know then prove yourself." Agroth's dull voice echoed in the surrounding, as he spoke for the first time.

He raised his spear and pointed it at Ethan's team, challenging them to a fight.

"Okay. Let's defeat him quickly." Dagger said, as he equipped his daggers.

"No you all stay back I will handle him myself." Ethan said, as he unsheathed his sword.

"No we will fight him together." Emily said, as she opposed Ethan.

"But.." Ethan wanted to continue but was cut off by Emily.

"We are a team remember?" Emily said, as she reminded Ethan.

"Okay." Ethan said, as he noticed determination in Emily's eyes.

They all positioned themselves ready to face off against Agroth.
