Hello. I wanted to update everyone because it has been two weeks. I was not happy with the way the first few chapters of volume 2 worked out and I decided I needed to start over on them. As much as I wanted to release right away, I don't want the story to suffer. I appreciate everyone being patient with this.

I have been writing for a long time, but I have never written web novels before. So I learned a great deal about Royal Road while posting volume 1 of Witness and also just about serializing. When I edit volume 1 of Witness, I have a few changes I would like to make. As you probably know by now, I'm very open to feedback. So I've provided an anonymous way for you to give some feedback on the story. The link is in the author's note below. If you want to share, that is great. If not, that is okay too. Also, don't worry about influencing the story too much. I'm comfortable with utilizing reader feedback in productive ways. Speak freely.

So, anyway, when will volume 2 begin releasing? As soon as I fix the early chapters. To be honest, I did not like the pacing of the end of volume 1. This affected the start of volume 2 and I don't want shortcomings to continue. I will post it as soon as I can.

I am not sure what my posting schedule will be, though. I think that for now I need to simply release when I have chapters available. This will give my mind the chance to sort out a few problems and also help me not burn out with the scope of this book. I am so excited about volume 2. I want to give it my full effort.

As a sneak peek, I can let you know that while volume 1 of Witness focused a great deal on Rory/Aeryn as a character and the journey to find her world and family again, I plan on expanding with book 2. The stage has been set for us to dive deeper into the fight for Earth and to deal with this pesky federation.
