In a town about 50 years ride from where Armad stood, on an island between the first two worlds, two young girls were playing on a riverbank. The ornaments on their clothes identified them as nobles but their eyes were a shade of homogeneous white, making them look... unnatural. It was either they didn't have an iris or their iris was white, to begin with. Many people would mistake them for the blind.
These two girls struggled to put a young man in a storage bag but their hands kept slipping through him like he was air. The young man was, of course, Armad, or at least he looked like him.
And while they were there, one of the other girls approaching caught sight of them, and she began to call out to them.
Suwainah decided. "Zeera, quickly go and find dad. Tell him about it and let me take care of things here."
Her sister Zeera nodded and ran east.
Suwainah did all she could to hide Armad but to no avail. So she left him there and turned to address the other girls approaching. The first four girls to arrive said nothing about the young man. She waited for them to ask, but they didn't. It was as if they didn't see him. But he was right there... Suwainah turned around where she left Armad's body, but there was no sign of him.
"Suwainah, what are you doing here alone? With seven days left to go before the swearing-in ceremony, you should go write your name and line up."
Suwainah nodded, quickly jolting out of her thoughts. "I... just came to take a bath. How is it done?"
One of the girls shrugged. "It's just a tournament. Whoever amongst us awakens the best Ururu in his eyes wins and will join the elite troops. The rest will join the other lesser units in the first world. I was also told we will be divided into groups based on our ability and eyesight. Let us accompany you to put your name down."
Suwainah wanted to stay a little longer to find Armad, being worried about where he had gone to, but there was no excuse she could tell the girls so she followed them back to the town at the center of the island.
The island of Pseudo-Ururu was a unique place with a thousand-year-old history. The entire island was suspended in the space between the first world and the second world, held in place by the undying pol of the black eyes.
The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.
On the island, the Ururu trained their young ones on how to awaken their eyes. Every Ururu was born with the trademark black eyes, which was a well-known fact throughout the seven worlds, but those eyes didn't have any ability except the added beauty, of course. Anyone who wanted to awaken his eyes to the level of Bending would undergo special training. The training would start by turning your iris and sclera to white, which would change the eyes to white like that of Suwainah and the other girls. Such white eyes were called pseudo Ururu, and the island was named after it. From the level of pseudo Ururu, there were various training given before a person would further turn their eyes to their original black. Anyone who underwent these steps successfully would become a true member of Ururu.
Only Ururu and their might lived in the first world. Ten great Houses. Each House was big enough to be an independent tribe on its own.
These ten houses were as follows:
1) House of Kuyurussa'ayi Ururu: One son
2) House of Dumakisu Ururu: Twenty children.
3) House of Uznu Ururu: Eighteen children
4) House of Dul'Ururu Ururu: Nine children.
5) House of Jushai Ururu: Thirty-three children.
6) House of Ƙilbaru Ururu: nineteen children.
7) House of Jidda Ururu: Seven children
8) House of Nasára Ururu: Four children
9) House of Shiysui Ururu: Six children
10) House of Fayziy Ururu: Eleven children.
Each of these Houses had a large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the ones sent to this island for training to awaken their eyes. The rest of the Ururu in the first world who didn't belong to any of the ten great houses weren't allowed to be on the island. Although they all shared other privileges as every Ururu, they would have to look for other ways to awaken their eyes.
At the same time that Armad appeared on the island, Ururu had brought their children there to train, and the first two girls he met were Suwainah Ururu and Zeera Ururu, grandchildren of the great House of Ƙilbaru Ururu.
There were many tests to be done before becoming a true member of Ururu. And that was what brought all the girls to the island.
A day before Armad appeared on the island, the three men and the woman who looked like Nusi who wanted to take the book from him appeared on the island. A direct descendant of the entire race by the name of Ƙilbaru, the same man who founded House Ƙilbaru Ururu, was also on the island and he took the four men to the head of the island, Shadi Ururu, a grandson of Fayziy Ururu.
Shadi Ururu wasted no time in beheading them and burying their bodies without anyone's knowledge. For them, if you didn't have black eyes then you weren't even worthy of attention. At this point, even Suwainah didn't know about what happened to the other four. But their father cautioned them not to tell anyone about the four men, and that they should call him immediately if they saw others like them. So Suwainah sent her younger sister Zeera to find their father, but then, surprisingly, Armad had disappeared without a trace.
Between this Armad and the other Armad training with Babara, which one was real?
