Chapter 153: Heeda (1)

Chapter 153: Heeda (1)

The six lower worlds were in chaos. The war that had started in the fourth world had now spread to the other worlds.

The jinzidal army under Dul'Ururu went around arresting and killing people. As usual, most of their victims were innocents.

The jinzidal army had five commanders. Among them were Uznu and King Dul'Ururu. Three of the commanders were never seen except in extremely dire situations. A situation such as this.

In the meantime, Dul'Ururu strode across his palace in full-body armor.

He seemed to be in a very foul mood. A halo hovered over him as he walked. Many miniature stars billowed inside the halo.

The happenings today had made his mood prickly. He had been the closest of the Ashura to Uznu. That, coupled with the ongoing protests, was enough to irritate a man. Especially if that man happened to be the overseer of the whole lower worlds.

Dul'Ururu reached his destination, which was an enchanted place in the palace. A pit opened beneath his feet and he flew down inside. It was deep, and it took some time before he finally landed on his feet. The scenery around him changed into a forest. Unnaturally tall trees stood as far as he could see. The sounds of wild animals and the cries of djinns filled his ears.

Three giants appeared as soon as he landed. They were the three hidden commanders (and trump cards) of the jinzidal army, and also Dul'Ururu's Salsa.

The first bowed and said, "Who do you want dead, commander?"

"Which among the lower worlds do you want to be destroyed?" The second said, unsheathing his sword.

The third brought out his tomahawk, asking, "Which tribe do you want to be annihilated?"

"Take some men with you and kill anyone you see outside," replied Dul'Ururu.

"Consider it done, commander."

They left the forest with wicked grins on their faces.

When they were gone, Dul'Ururu vanished to the tallest mountain in the second world. He brought out his staff and hunted poor souls. When a star got shattered, its owner would fall and die.

Meanwhile, the three jinzidal commanders had initiated indiscriminate killings throughout the five lower worlds.

Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences elsewhere.

The residents of the lower worlds got tired of the killings and took arms against the jinzidal army. Many got killed as a result. Blood flooded the gutters and mixed with the waters of the walls, turning the walls red. The event would eventually be known as the Red.

~The battlefield

Bihanzin was right about one thing: the 'secret' would lead to unimaginable bloodshed. Hidaya didn't want the loss of many innocent lives, so she kept the truth to herself.

But Bihanzin had ruined it all in just two hours. All for his selfish gains.

On the other hand, Bihanzin had indeed taken a long time plotting his scheme, but defeating a jinzidal King wouldn't come that easily. Daljari laughed and summoned his pol reserve. Every jinzidal King had one. They created it from the contract Bend. The longer someone had been in power, the more powerful their reserve would be. So Bihanzin, being the youngest and newest King, had the weakest reserve among them.

The pressure exuding from Daljari multiplied. The earth shook, rocks exploded, and the sky darkened. More than a hundred thousand years of pol gathered in form of ethereal beads above Daljari. No restraining chains were sent to restrain him because the years were not directly stored in his core. The Black Stone wouldn't register ambient pol which wasn't internalized by a Bender. So Daljari got away with it.

The King recalled the representation of the seven worlds he summoned previously. The years of pol and the seven worlds condensed into a black boomerang.

Daljari threw the boomerang and cut through the ravens and shield that held Niyashi. A deafening crack rang and the boomerang exploded with the ravens.

An opening appeared around Niyashi. The King grabbed him and threw him out of the encircling wall formed by the ravens.

However, more ravens screeched and followed Niyashi. Daljari cut his forehead. Blood dripped from the wound and flew toward Niyashi.

The blood flew faster than the ravens despite their wings. It reached Niyashi a moment earlier and spread around him before it cocooned his whole body.

The ravens collided with the blood barrier and instantly evaporated into thin air. More ravens came but to no avail.

Daljari laughed. "I think this should render your Three-Blooded ritual useless, Dark Orphan."

Hidaya used that moment to strike a hit at Bihanzin. It looked simple and Bihanzin parried it, but unfortunately for him, her sword siphoned years of pol. His pol was instantly reduced by one-third. Anyone else should have been destroyed. But a jinzidal King was different. They'd pol reserve from contract Bonds.

Bihanzin replaced his pol and stood his ground. But Hidaya wasn't done. The gravitational force around Bihanzin suddenly changed. His sword weighed hundreds of thousands of times heavier. It pulled him down on his knees before it shattered into countless fragments that slashed into his face.

Hidaya wasn't done yet. She sent a series of seven successive strikes with her sword. Each slash transformed into a flying sword. The first slash took the shape of the first world. The second resembled the second world. The third represented the third world and so on. Seven slashes for the seven worlds.

Bihanzin bit his tongue and drew blood from his soul. The blood transformed into a dark Negrinki, which further transformed into a black sword. A sense of dread filled the atmosphere as the sword materialized. It smoked Negrinki, making the air poisonous for anyone but Bihanzin.

He quickly drew seven lines on the air and followed each line with a slash to create a flying sword. The seven swords came together to create a mammoth raven of black smoke.

"Perpetual Hell!" He cried.

"Undying Pol!" Hidaya countered.
