Eric and his party started to lead Luke back to the city. While on the way back, Luke asked the group while trying to sound excited to fool them, “What's the city like, and what's the name?” Eric said back to Luke, “The city's name is Midnight Forest, named after the forest surrounding the city. On the surface, the city is pretty peaceful, but in the depths, there are a lot of missing/killed people every year.” Luke noticed Eric was slightly hesitated in telling him this and felt like Eric left some stuff out. For the rest of the trip, Luke started a conversation with Clark and Scott.
Over the next three days, Luke got closer to Clark and Scott, becoming their friends. While Clark and Scott started to talk with Eric about Luke joining their party. Scott said, “Eric I think Luke would make an excellent member of our party. You haven’t seen his magic. While I might not know much about magic, the destructive power of his magic was insane, but they were only the basics according to him. Can you imagine how helpful he would be after he trains in magic for another year or two?” Clark agreed with Scott and said, "Yeah, I have more experience with magic, and even I have never seen a basic magical spell do that much damage. If we can add Luke to our party, our strength will increase by at least fifty percent, if not more! Plus, me and Scott have been talking with him for the past three days, and he's a good kid from what I can tell.” Eric was in contemplation on whether he wanted Luke to join or not. After five minutes, Eric spoke up and said, “You guys have to give me the rest of the time to think about this.” Clark and Scott both seemed to understand Eric's position. Scott said, “Makes sense. Let us know when we get to the city after two more days.” After finishing his thought, Scott left Eric alone, with Clark following him back towards Luke to keep talking with him.
Over the next two days, Eric was in deep thought about whether their party should invite Luke or not. Eric thought about how little they knew about Luke, but at the same time, if what Clark and Scott said was true, Luke's strength would be a massive increase for their party. By the time Eric and his party made it to the city he had decided on...
Five Days Ago
Luke was lost in his thoughts, thinking of a plan and how to use this party to the best of his ability. Luke decided that his first stage of action was to get closer to Scott and Clark, as they seemed to like him the most. Luke started many conversations with Scott and Clark, talking about many different things. One of the few things Luke asked them about was their fighting skills while flattering them to the best of his ability. Luke had only acted like this in hopes that Scott and Clark would regard him as a friend so they would trust him. During the night when they set up camp, Luke retreated to his tent and started to meditate to rejuvenate his mental strength and absorb magical energy to advance in rank. Luke didn’t have a new meditation technique he could use after completing Mystic Awakening: Essential Meditations for Harnessing Arcane Energies and transforming the primal energy into primordial energy. So until Luke found a new meditation technique, he would absorb magical energy at a slower rate. Luke remembered that he had the technique AꚶɌĬtዛᙏiᕔᙁ ĬnꕷĬgዛt which was unusable before. Luke got in position and started to circulate the technique. Luke felt his body start to heat up, growing in power insanely fast. Luke felt as if his body was about to explode and tried to keep the energy under control.
The core detected rising levels of energy out of control on Luke's body and activated its energy absorption. The core sucked ninety percent of the energy flowing in Luke to itself, repairing in the process. Luke felt like his body was being ripped to shreds, but slowly the energy level started to drop, giving Luke more control over the energy. With the energy under his control now Luke was able to circulate the energy properly, according to AꚶɌĬtዛᙏiᕔᙁ ĬnꕷĬgዛt. After Luke's first full cycle of energy, his arcane heart started to heat up and generate Luke's first magic circle. The magic circle was branded on Luke's arcane heart, with Luke's arcane heart now pumping magical energy throughout his body. Due to the magical energy pumping through Luke's body, he will slowly start to adapt to the energy, gaining resistance to that energy. Awakening from the pain, Luke heard the core telepathically speak, telling him what had happened: “Host was detected to be absorbing primordial energy with AꚶɌĬtዛᙏiᕔᙁ ĬnꕷĬgዛt. Energy absorption was activated, forcing ninety percent of the primordial energy to the core for repair. Core was repaired to 20%, gaining access to more powerful abilities and more knowledge. Host was detected to have successfully formed the first magic circle, becoming a first class mage.” Luke was ecstatic that he finally managed to become a true mage. Luke didn't know what to do next on his mage journey, so he planned to search the library for more knowledge that was unlocked. Luke also planned to collect every book he found to scan into the library one day, hoping to have all of every realm's knowledge. Luke asked the core if it could display the newly upgraded features of the core.

Luke saw the newly added stats to the available features and asked what it was. The core responded, “It's a newly added feature after you repaired me to 20%. Mental strength represents how much you have and how much is left. Ten represent that you just stepped into the stage of first-class mage. Physique represents how strong your body is, which will typically be lower than your mental strength unless you become a knight as well, but that will hinder you more than help. The rest should be pretty self-explanatory.” Now that Luke knew how the stats worked, he noticed that the sun was starting to rise and the party would set off soon. For the rest of the trip, Luke repeated the process by talking with Scott and Clark during the day and training his mental strength at night by meditation until they made it to the city.
Back to the present
Eric and his party walked up to the gates with Luke following behind, talking to Mela. Eric, Scott, and Clark were discussing whether Luke should be allowed to join their party, and they all agreed that if he wanted he could. After they discussed this, they agreed on asking Luke after they had gotten through the gates and went to turn in the quest at the guild. It was finally Eric and his party's turn, so Eric handed the guard his party's official guild card. The guard noticed that they had an extra person with them, Luke, and said …
