Luke contemplated it for a while, and in the end, after much internal conflict, he decided that Soul Drainer would be best in the long run. The only downside was that if someone recognized it, Luke would be hunted by the strongest light magic force in the multiverse, but Luke didn’t know that just yet. Luke told the AI assistant that he wanted to learn Soul Drainer, so the AI told Luke where to find the book, and Luke left to go grab it. Once Luke made it to the auxiliary magic spell section, he started to head to where the AI told him where the book would be. Luke had arrived at where the Ai told him it was, and instead of being bound by leather, the book was bound by souls. Luke grabbed the book. With the book in hand, Luke started to feel the very essence of death and was overwhelmed by the sheer vastness of death. Luke started to collapse to the ground, his very soul collapsing from the pressure of death.
The core detected Luke’s fading life force and started to act with the measures given by its creator: if someone touched that book when they were too weak, that would ensure Luke's survival. Luke's consciousness faded to black while the core worked on saving him. Luke awoke in a massive pile of bones mixed with all types of creatures bones. Luke tried to move but realized he wasn't in control of his body. Luke was a spectator in whoever's body this was. Whoever controlled the body started to stand up and walk away from the bone mountain. Once the creature started to walk, Luke noticed that the creature he was spectating was a skeleton.
Over the next 100 years, Luke watched the skeleton mindlessly wonder around in this desolate realm with nothing but the undead. The skeleton would occasionally come across other undead, in which a battle would ensue, with the winner devouring the loser. Over the years, the skeleton slowly grew in intelligence. During the 100th year, the skeleton devoured another skeleton's core and started to glow, which intrigued Luke. Luke started to pay close attention to this being the first interesting thing happening for the past 50 years. The skeleton started to change forms and morph into a higher-class skeleton. The skeleton, now done evolving, had awoken its spiritual intelligence, letting it think on the same level as normal humans.
The skeleton started to wonder about the realm again, but this time it had a plan. It was looking for a territory it could claim for its own due to the inheritance it gained once it evolved. The inheritance told the skeleton that if it could claim a territory, it could absorb all the death energy in the territory. The skeleton searched for 200 years for an unclaimed territory, discovering many interesting things along the way. The skeleton decided to give up its search for unclaimed territory and instead search for one of those ruins it heard about while in one of the few cities it found. The rumor had it that there were undiscovered ruins spread out in this realm that were created by powerhouses in hopes of passing on their inheritance. Luke was starting to get bored of watching this skeleton, but thankfully he wouldn't be conscious until the skeleton experienced something important. Luke awoke 50 years later, once the skeleton managed to find one of the unclaimed ruins.

The skeleton reached the door of the ruins and heard a voice inside its mind, “Welcome young one. I am Morgrim Voidshadow, the Dread Archon of Death. My name was known all across the realms as the undead disaster until I was killed by the origin realm. Inside these ruins is my inheritance, containing all my known knowledge.” Once Luke saw this, his vision faded, and once he regained vision, the skeleton had turned into a lich, taking the name Morgrim Voidshadow, the Dread Archon of Death, becoming the second coming of the undead disaster. The lich was researching a new spell, hoping to gain control over death itself, but failed instead, creating Soul Drainer. The lich tossed the spell into its spatial storage due to not needing the spell. Over time, the lich forgot about the spell and continued along its path of destruction until it ran into the same creatures from the origin realm that killed its predecessor. Luke tried to view the creature, but his mind couldn't process the creature, so the core cut off the dream.
Luke awoke back in bed. The hunter noticed Luke awoke again and ran over to him, all concerned, “Your awake! What happened? Are you okay?" Luke noticed that the first half of Soul Drainer was embedded in his brain. Luke was about to question why he didn't get the second half, but the reason was told at the end of the first half: “You will gain the second half once you gain the ability to control souls” Luke did’nt know when that would be, but he didn't care for the time being. The first half was enough to heal his physical wounds and gain more lifespan for his flesh, according to the first half. Luke came back to reality and answered the hunter, “Yes of course I'm fine. Ive never been better.” While answering the hunter, Luke slowly started to cast Soul Drainer…
